A man has been named as Eng Wu Ong, a Singaporean international student who was living in Melbourne. He fell while climbing the south-west ridge of the mountain with a 20-year-old companion. Police have released the name of the 21-year-old man who fell to his death while climbing Mt Aspiring in the Southern Alps near Wanaka.
