Khloe Kardashian Breaks Down Over "Trust" Issues in New KUWTK Promo

Khloe Kardashian really should have seen this coming. We mean no disrespect and we feel awful for Khloe that she's once again dealing with Tristan Thompson cheating on her … … but the latest trailer for Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 16 makes it evident that Khloe has been struggling with her relationship for months. Specifically, struggling with whether she can actually trust the unethical father of her daughter. Khloe says so herself in this preview. “It's really hard to regain trust,” Kardashian says early on in ths video, speaking to her siblings and adding: “Your one stupid weekend, you just demolish a relationship.” Now, remember: These episodes were filmed a very long time ago. So Khloe can't be talking about Thompson hooking up last week with Jordyn Woods . We're actually not sure precisely what Khloe is citing here, but it very likely goes all the way back to Thompson's first cheating scandal because Season 15 concluded with Khloe giving birth last April. And, tragically, this coincided with when she learned that Thompson totally sucks. Elsewhere in this revealing look ahead to Season 16: – Kim is in a car with Kanye West when she says: “It's a full-time job warding off the negative people. I'm not going to be nice.” – Kendall is referred to as “uptight” by Kourtney, while Jenner seems especially annoyed by… someone. “You did some not-cool things,” she says. “I just wanna be like alone.” – Elsewhere, while plenty on this series is very clearly scripted, the family will also be facing something over which they had no control whatsoever: the devastating effects of the Southern California wildfires. There's flames entering my property,” Kourtney says. This was a legitimate, scary, dangerous concern for thousands and thousands of California residents — and celebrities certainly weren't exempt from the pain. “Kim's house is on fire!” Khloe exclaims at one point in this preview, while Kris Jenner adds: “We're evacuating.” “This is like, unreal,” a tearful Khloe concludes, referencing the flames in this case, not the behavior of her really terrible boyfriend. Although… most people consider Thompson's actions to also be unreal.  Keeping Up with the Kardashians returns to E! on Sunday, March 31. No Chill: Twitter Hilariously Slams ‘Green Book’ By Comparing It To “Non-Racist” White People

Source: Frazer Harrison / Getty It’s that time of year again when the post-Oscar buzz either has you on a big high, or it has you highly pissed off. Sadly, when it comes to representation for Black people, the latter usually happens more than the former. At this year’s Oscars, however, there were some notable wins for Black people. Black Panther swept some important technical awards with Ruth E. Carter winning for Best Costume Design and Hannah Beachler  winning for Best Production Design, making them the first Black women to win in either category. Regina King also won Best Supporting Actress for her role in If Beale Street Could Talk while Mahershala Ali snagged the gold statue for his supporting role in Green Book. Add a Best Adapted Screenplay win for Spike Lee , and Black people are winning, right?! Meh. When time came around for the Best Picture announcement, many people were surprised or just plain outraged when Green Book took home the gold. A lot of folks took their pain out on Twitter in the most hilarious way. But before we get to that, if you haven’t seen or heard of Green Book, the movie based on real characters has developed quite a notorious reputation. Although Mahershala’s performance in the movie was praised, the flick centers around Bronx-bred racist Tony Lip (played by Viggo Mortensen), who serves as the tour driver for acclaimed musician Dr. Don Shirley (played by Ali). The movie explores race relations on a very shallow level, with Lip being portrayed as a White savior who defends Shirley from Southern White racists and introduces him to things like fried chicken and Little Richard …as if Shirley, a Black musician, couldn’t have possibly had fried chicken or heard of Little Richard.   Regardless if certain scenes were true or not, the movie painted Lip as a regular working-class White man who just happened to have some prejudices. More importantly, we should sympathize with him because he’s supposedly less racist than the Southern racist caricatures that we’re all-too familiar with in movies. Many people slammed this one-note approach to race relations with shows like Late Night with Seth Meyers and Desus & Mero making parodies of the movie.     The family members of the real-life Dr. Shirley also dragged the film with Shirley’s younger brother Maurice Shirley labeling the movie a “symphony of lies,” according to Shadow and Act . The title of the movie wasn’t even appropriate. The real-life Green Book, “The Negro Motorist Green Book” published by postal worker Victor Hugo Green in 1938, listed priceless info of safe eating establishments and lodging for Black people in the Jim Crow South. The Green Book movie barely covered this important info aside from a scene when Lip was handed a copy of the Green Book by a recording label executive. All of these issues made Green Book ‘s Best Picture win feel like another smack in the face to Black stories. When competing with Black-led films like Black Panther and BlacKkKlansman, the white-washed, White savior narrative won again. Even creatives like Spike Lee couldn’t contain their frustration, considering the BlacKkKlansman  director reportedly stormed out his seat when Green Book was announced as Best Picture. Of course, many frustrations were let out on Twitter with White and Black users alike clowning the movie’s shallow take on race. Green Book was not for Black people. It was to make white people feel good about doing little to stop racism beyond the interpersonal. Also, the other movies were better. What Do You Need To Know?: Tekashi69 Plea Deal Revealed, He’s Telling On Everybody

Source: PYMCA / Getty The details of Tekashi69’s plea deal with the Feds have been revealed. Unless you haven’t been paying attention you should be surprised—he copped to everything he stood accused of and told on any and everybody.  Among the crimes the Brooklyn rapper admitted to was trying to have Chief Keef shot, selling a kilo of heroin and even helping rivals to attempt a murder to increase his standing in the Nine Trey Bloods, which he joined in the fall of 2017. Reports TMZ : As we reported, the rapper cooperated with the feds and even testified before the Grand Jury. The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York agreed “not to prosecute [69] for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine.”  So, various crimes are off the books. In addition, prosecutors agreed not to go after 69 for crimes he told prosecutors about but have not yet been charged. The plea deal also says, “It is understood that the defendant’s cooperation is likely to reveal the activities of individuals and that witness protection may be required at a later date.” It sounds like that may be necessary, because 69’s testimony implicates hardened criminals accused of extremely violent crimes.  It’s ultimately up to the judge to determine sentence … but the prosecutors say if Tekashi keeps talking, he’ll get a gigantic break … “should the defendant successfully cooperate, the government agrees that it will file at the time of sentencing a motion … for a sentence below any mandatory minimum.”  Tekashi’s rap career is basically over since being in witness protection could make performing a problem. We wouldn’t be surprised if Tekashi only gets time served when all is said and done. Keep in mind, Tekashi69 was a civilian and admitted troll, he was never really ’bout that gang life. Bennett College will keep its accreditation after donors helped the historically black college raise $8 million. The North Carolina college had a Monday deadline to raise $5 million to help keep their accreditation. WXii12 reports that during a 90-minute gathering Monday afternoon, school officials announced that they’ve raised $8.2 million. As of today, we have raised $8.2 million! We could not have done it without any of you! We are forever grateful! THANK YOU! #StandWithBennett #BennettCollege #BennettBelles #BennettMatters #HBCUsMatter — Bennett College (@BennettCollege) February 4, 2019 Bennett’s deadline came from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools’ Commission on Colleges voted to remove Bennett’s membership due to financial instability in December. “When we were cited in December that we would be removed from membership in SACS, we were told that we did not meet one standard, which was financial resources. And so, SACS has 90 to 95 standards, and that’s the only standard we did not meet. So, to that extent we have to produce $5 million to demonstrate financial stability,” Bennett College President, Phyllis Worthy Dawkins said. “This $5 million can be used to support operations of the institution, can be used to support student gap funds and can be used in a variety of different ways,” Dawkins said. “We also are still liquidating some of our assets, so that does not include that amount (already raised), and we’re also seeking loan forgiveness, so a combination of things will make up the $5 million, so I feel confident we’re going to make it.” Donors included local college High Point University and the nation’s first black sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. who pledged $100,000 to the institution. We’re happy to hear the news that another HBCU will continue to stand. Congrats Bennett!!!

Kathryn Dennis: I’m a Domestic Violence Survivor. This is My Story.

Over the past several weeks, each time we’ve written about Kathryn Dennis, it’s been in relation to Thomas Ravenel. That’s what happens when you share two kids with the lead of a Bravo reality show… … and then that lead gets accused of sexual assault by two women . In this case, however, we’re here to talk about the Southern Charm star and a different man from her past. We don’t know his name. But we do know that this individual sadly has had a major impact on Dennis’ life. On Sunday evening, the 27-year old posted both the following image on Instagram and included with it a lengthy message about how she is a surivor of domestic abuse. Dennis proceeded to tell her story via this social media platform, prefacing the emotional post with a caption that reads: “This is my past, perfectly put…. worth the read. This is the real aftermath.” The reality star then went into painful detail as follows: I spend a lot of time thinking about those questions. I never saw myself in these situations and neither did anyone else. I had strong opinions, a sharp mind, and an independent spirit. But before I knew it, I was left with a broken spirit, mixed opinions, and an anxious and uncertain mind. I didn’t know who I was anymore. Dennis never names her abuser. She doesn’t get into specifics about the incident or incidents, either. Instead, she focuses more on the effects this experience has had on her life — and continues to have on her life. It was the deepest, darkest secret I kept. And this wasn’t about any particular situation/relationship as much as it was my relationship with men. It ran deep and dark, and I never realized the impact it had on myself and on my self-worth. In these depths of despair, I couldn’t see a way out of this cycle. It seemed anywhere I turned pushed me further and further away from getting to a safe place physically, mentally, and emotionally. I looked around and within and realized that my self-worth had been damaged long before I even realized it was possible. This made me really question myself. And this is how Dennis concludes: Was it me? Was this normal behavior, and I was the one in the wrong? I knew deep down inside that wasn’t the case, but I was stuck in quicksand being guided by those who kept my head above, but my feet locked in. Powerful stuff, no? Tragically, there are millions of women out there who can relate to most everything Dennis describes here. She went on to share a handful of memes, such as the ones below: Kathryn’s revelation about her past trauma with domestic violence comes just weeks after her ex-boyfriend, Ravenel, was arrested for second degree assault and battery . The ex-Bravo personality was taken into custody on charges related to sexual assault claims made by his former nanny, Dawn, who cared for his and Kathryn’s two kids, Kensington, 4, and Saint Julien, 2, years ago. Jill Duggar Offers Lame Parenting Advice, Gets Roasted on Instagram!

The Duggars really enjoy offering parenting advice to their fans. We're sure some folks appreciate this tendency, but it seems that just as many resent the unsolicited counsel. After all, the Duggars could really benefit from tending to their own backyard, so when they get a tad too preachy, their fans are often quick to call them out. This phenomenon took place in a big way this week, when Jill Duggar offered up some painfully obvious insights on parenting on her Instagram page.   1. Jill the Mom Jill is a mother of two, and she obviously takes parenting very seriously. She homeschools her kids and loves to share parenting tips on social media. 2. Helping or Hurting? Some fans find Jill’s tips helpful, while others feel that she tends to be a bit preachy while offering advice that’s already well-known to most parents. 3. Obvious Child Recently, Jill posted a new post on her blog about the importance of allowing children to play outside. 4. Yes, Really Apparently, Jill is under the impression that “let them play outside” is some sort of groundbreaking approach to parenting. 5. Jill Needs to Chill Needless to say, fans weren’t exactly blown away with Jill’s helpful hints. And many of them were quick to let her know that. 6. Cameran Eubanks: Southern Charm Star Apologizes For Vaccine-Related Comments

Southern Charm is no stranger to controversy — most notably the stunning rise and fall of Thomas Ravenel . This time, it’s Cameran Eubanks who’s been put in the hotseat. Not by police, but by her own followers. When she shared her opinion about vaccines, the backlash was so intense that she deleted her tweet — and apologized. On Thursday, Southern Charm star Cameran Eubanks decided to encourage her followers to make responsible health decisions. She posted a photo of the bandage on her arm, announcing that she had just receive her flu vaccine for this year. Cameran then encouraged her fans and followers to do the same. It’s not just the right thing to do for themselves — it can help to protect others, including those with compromised immune systems. The backlash to her post was enough that she promptly deleted it. After deleting her post, she shared an undeserved apology message with her followers. “I just deleted a post that I made today about my belief in getting the flu shot,” she began. “Never did I think it would cause such a fuss,” she explains. A few years ago, it might not have. But thanks to internet algorithms, dangerous misinformation spreads like a virus. “I’m sorry to all I offended who don’t believe in vaccinating themselves and their children,” she writes. “If you do not vaccinate I do not think you are stupid or wrong,” Cameran generously claims. Not everyone would be so charitable in their assessment of people who endanger their children and others by believing falsehoods. “We just disagree,” she writes. “I have always said I will not talk about religion or politics on social media,” Cameran concludes. “And now I’m adding vaccines too.” This is not the first time that Cameran has been taken aback by an unexpected controversy. “Palmer had hers today,” Cameran shared about her 11-month-old. “I played baby shark and not even a whimper. Couldn’t believe it. God bless that annoying ass song!” Her Southern Charm costar, the incomparable Patricia Altschul, also posted on Thursday after she received her flu shot. “@caconover is right! I just had my flu shot and I can only walk backwards #southerncharm #medicine.” Craig Conover, everyone’s favorite formerly reformed playboy who talks like a frat guy, has some wild opinions about vaccines. He called them a “crazy government shot” that would force him to walk backwards for the rest of his life. Honestly, that’s not the worst thing that we’ve heard an anti-vaxxer say, but … that’s not saying much. Patricia was not the only one who leapt to Cameran’s defense. “Um your post literally reminded me to sign up for ours,” wrote one fan. “Appointments booked. Thank you for posting about it!” “It’s not a matter of belief or disbelief, nor opinion. It’s a matter of science and facts,” correctly asserted another fan. That comment continued: “Vaccines save lives and suffering and those who choose not to certainly have the right to that choice, but yeah, they are wrong.” “My family doesn’t get the flu shot,” wrote another commenter. “And I still found nothing wrong with your post!” Vaccinations aren’t just a personal decision — they help protect those with compromised immune systems through “herd immunity.” Someone whose immune system doesn’t function at full capacity cannot be vaccinated, so they are vulnerable to the flu — or something worse, like measles. But everyone with whom they come into contact is vaccinated, then they are insulated by the “herd” and less likely to be exposed to a contagion. As for the theories about vaccines being dangerous … some of that is misinformation, and some is fearmongering. (Personal note: I am one of the one-in-a-million people who had a strongly adverse reaction to a vaccination as an infant; the real virus would have been worse and I’m glad that I was vaccinated) Vaccines do not cause autism, but even if they did, we would all rather see a child be autistic than die of a preventable disease. G eorgia’s Republican secretary of state, who’s competing against Stacey Abrams for governor, allegedly oversaw the removal of thousands of likely Abrams supporters from the state’s voting rolls. See Also: GOP Ramps Up Voter Suppression Efforts Ahead Of Upcoming Elections A group of voting rights organizations announced a lawsuit on Tuesday against Georgia Secretary of State Brian Kemp for using a racially-biased method that has purged about 700,000 voters ahead of the Nov. 6 midterm elections, WXIA-TV reported. The organizations reportedly include Jesse Jackson ’s Rainbow-PUSH Coalition, the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda and the Southern Christian Leadership Conference. Kemp has failed to notify the affected voters who will likely be turned away at the polls on Election Day, the suit alleged. “What has taken place here in Georgia is an insult to all of the efforts and accomplishments that we have done throughout this country,”  Charles Steele , president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, said at a press conference Tuesday about the Black struggle to win voting rights. This comes as Abrams attempts to make history as the nation’s first elected Black female governor. In June, the U.S. Supreme Court, in a 5-4 split decision, approved Ohio’s practice of removing registered voters from its rolls if they haven’t participated in recent elections. About a dozen other states controlled by Republicans wanted to adopt Ohio’s system following the court’s ruling. “Georgia has been more aggressive than Ohio in removing names,” Nse Ufot , executive director of New Georgia Project, told NewsOne , adding that the practice disproportionately affects people of color. Her organization “stands in solidarity” with the groups that filed the suit. Kemp is accused of using the Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck Program to maintain Georgia’s list of eligible voters. The inaccurate system is seriously flawed , Ufot said. Meanwhile, Kemp has vehemently denied the voter suppression allegation, claiming in a statement that the lawsuit “has no merit” because Georgia hasn’t used the Crosscheck Program.
