Jenelle Evans appears to have come to her senses… … at last. The polarizing Teen Mom star doesn't seem to be with David Eason any longer; not after all the ugly words exchanged between the couple and, of course, the apparent physical confrontation they got into last October. If Evans really is splitting from Eason, it's obviously the right call. But one aspect of this potential break-up has us a bit concerned. We explain why down below… 1. Let’s Consider This Photo Cute, right? Just your basic cute snapshot of Evans and her young daughter, Ensley, right? We hope so. 2. But Might It Be a Message for Eason? Evans wrote “MommasGirl” as a caption to the picture; which, again, could mean nothing. But calling so-called possession of the child in the midst of what must be an ugly break-up? It could also mean a lot. 3. Eason Does Actually Seem Close to Ensley The little girl was born in January of 2017 and Eason, for all his MANY faults, does seem like a dedicated father to her. 4. Just Consider This Photo Eason shared it just a few days before Jenelle claimed ownership of Ensley, writing as a caption: “Love of my life! Her first time on an airplane!” 5. Let’s Say a Divorce is Imminent… … does anyone think David would just let Jenelle have primary custody of his toddler? 6. And Here’s the Scary Thing: Eason may have an actual case he could make it front of a judge. View Slideshow
On Friday, disgraced rapper R. Kelly was arrested on 10 charges of aggravates sexual abuse , 9 of which refer to the victim being a minor. Reports suggested that at least some of the charges may relate to a video that shows R. Kelly sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl. Now there’s a new video that’s longer … and even worse. TMZ reports that celebrity attorney Michael Avenatti, who obtained the earlier video for police, will turn over another on Monday. The first video was said to be just under 45 minutes. The new one, stored on VHS, is reportedly about 55 minutes in duration. The same 14-year-old girl from the previous video is reportedly featured in this one. The first video was reportedly filmed in 1999. This second one was filmed in 2000. Here are the gruesome details. Just as in the previous video, Kelly is said to be “coaching” the girl on the sexual performance that he wants from her. (Notably, this is consistent with horror stories shared by adult women, who said that he had bragged about training some of his women from young ages) Multiple times during the video, R. Kelly is said to be seen choking the girl while having anal intercourse. At another point, he is said to spray this girl in the face with some sort of lotion. He is said to then choke her again, mount her from behind, and turn her to face the camera for a “reaction shot.” As always, the details of R. Kelly’s alleged sexual predation, both upon underage girls and adult women, are haunting. Some may hesitate when seeing that these videos are older, but we have to note that Kelly was very much an adult man, in his thirties, in 1999 and in 2000. Prosecutors have to wade through a tremendous amount of filth in order to determine which charges apply. And these two videos are not the end of it. There is a third video that prosecutors do not yet have on their hands — but they hope to acquire it, soon. Michael Avenatti is said to be in the process of procuring a third tape. This tape is said to also show R. Kelly, but with a different girl — aged somewhere between 13 and 16 years. TMZ reports that Avenatti’s team has identiifed someone who is in possession of the video. He is working to acquire it so that he can hand it over to prosecutors. The first tape was given to Avenatti by his client, a man who knew and worked with Kelly for years. More than a decade ago, R. Kelly was acquitted of numerous charges stemming from an alleged collection of underage porn. In an infamous video, a man said to be Kelly urinated upon an underage girl. However, both Kelly and the young woman told the court that they were not the people in the video. For the 2008 jury, that was enough. Many are hopeful that the jury pool has a better understanding of how men use fame and wealth to get away with heinous acts thanks to #MeToo. And perhaps the docuseries, Surviving R. Kelly , has also helped. Either way, Kelly’s arrest was long overdue. And as disgusting as these tapes may be, the prosecution may need a mountain of evidence to counteract the kinds of attorneys that Kelly can afford. View Slideshow: R. Source: PYMCA / Getty The details of Tekashi69’s plea deal with the Feds have been revealed. Unless you haven’t been paying attention you should be surprised—he copped to everything he stood accused of and told on any and everybody. Among the crimes the Brooklyn rapper admitted to was trying to have Chief Keef shot, selling a kilo of heroin and even helping rivals to attempt a murder to increase his standing in the Nine Trey Bloods, which he joined in the fall of 2017. Reports TMZ : As we reported, the rapper cooperated with the feds and even testified before the Grand Jury. The U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York agreed “not to prosecute [69] for the crimes set forth in Counts One through Nine.” So, various crimes are off the books. In addition, prosecutors agreed not to go after 69 for crimes he told prosecutors about but have not yet been charged. The plea deal also says, “It is understood that the defendant’s cooperation is likely to reveal the activities of individuals and that witness protection may be required at a later date.” It sounds like that may be necessary, because 69’s testimony implicates hardened criminals accused of extremely violent crimes. It’s ultimately up to the judge to determine sentence … but the prosecutors say if Tekashi keeps talking, he’ll get a gigantic break … “should the defendant successfully cooperate, the government agrees that it will file at the time of sentencing a motion … for a sentence below any mandatory minimum.” Tekashi’s rap career is basically over since being in witness protection could make performing a problem. We wouldn’t be surprised if Tekashi only gets time served when all is said and done. Keep in mind, Tekashi69 was a civilian and admitted troll, he was never really ’bout that gang life. There was now way he wasn’t going to tell after he got told he was looking at 47 years, period. — Photo: Getty
Show Host Served Nearly 10 Years For A Murder He Didn’t Commit A new reality show on MTV is tackling the shocking epidemic of wrongful convictions – and its disproportionate impact on the black community. “Unlocking The Truth” follows Ryan Ferguson, who spent a decade in prison for a murder he did not do, and investigator Eva Nagao as they uncover new evidence in crimes where the defendants were convicted under questionable circumstances. “This is something that is very real,” Ferguson told BOSSIP. “It could happen to anyone at any time.” There are about 2.3 million people in prison, and a little less than half are black men, according to the Bureau of Prisons. Of the number of incarcerated, the show estimates there are as many as 60,000 innocent people who are currently locked up. Ferguson himself was convicted of murder and spent his 20s behind bars, until witnesses in his case recanted. He filed an appeal, and a judge ordered him released. He now has a lawsuit pending against the prosecutors and law enforcement who pushed for his conviction. “Somebody right now is going through what I went through,” he said. “This happens to poor people, and there are racial issues as well.” Ferguson’s co-star, Nagao agreed, and said the public is interested in police accountability, especially after several recent incidents of police shooting unarmed black men. “I think it speaks to broader issues that people are interested in,” she said, “and highlights the systemic failures that there are.” The first episode sees Ferguson return to the same Kansas City, Mo. prison he’d been locked up in to visit Michael Politte, a man who said he was wrongly convicted of bludgeoning his mother and setting her on fire when he was just 14 years old. Ferguson said he planned to continue his work around wrongful convictions as long as he could because in helping others, he was helping himself. The show’s goal is to use individual cases to expose the system-wide failures within the criminal justice system – and its unequal burden on the black community, said Andrew Jenks, the show’s executive producer. “The judicial system is f**ked, needs major overhaul,” Jenks said, “and if we can play a small part in making a difference, that’s awesome.” “Unlocking The Truth” premieres Aug. 17 at 11 p.m. on MTV.
Quentin Tarantino Speaks On His Disgust With Police Brutality The director’s thoughts on police brutality starts around 37 minute mark. Via Breitbar t Tarantino said, “For the last year and a half, you have been sitting at home and watching seemingly one incident after another of black and brown people, unarmed, being shot by the police in extremely questionable ways and not having the patrol offers for the most part facing anything other than internal tribunals. And the prosecutors are not representing—the prosecutor that was involved in the case did not represent Tamir Rice. He represented the cop who shot him. And that is just not OK.” He continued, “And what’s going on in Chicago right now when you look at that video that has come out in the last few days. It’s over tipping the Chicago governmental system like an apple cart. And as disturbing as the shooting is, it is just as disturbing, there must have been eight or nine cops on the scene right there, and none of them said anything. None of them did anything. None of them changed their stories. None of them—they just shut up and they let this thing—cover up happen for a year now and it makes you wonder you know, who side are you on?”
At a time when the nation is riveted by racial imbalances in the criminal justice system after dozens of high-profile police-related deaths of Blacks, a…
It’s officially, ridiculously quack-tastic. The Duck Dynasty Season 4 premiere drew record ratings for A&E last night, as 11.8 million viewers tuned in, making the episode the most-watched nonfiction hour in the history of basic cable. And making David McKillop – General Manager and Executive Vice President of the network – one happy man. Actually, a single “happy” doesn’t cover it. Duck Dynasty Season 4 Premiere Highlights “Thanks to its authentic and engaging characters ‘Duck Dynasty’ has become more than just a reality show, it is a cultural phenomenon,” said McKillop in a statement. “We would like to thank the Robertsons for their incredible partnership. We are all Happy, Happy, Happy.” The premiere was also viewed by 6.3 million adults in the key advertiser demographic of 18-49, yet another basic cable record. Duck Dynasty Life Lessons Perhaps Willie Robertson should reconsider a run for Congress. He’ll never be more popular than he is right now. Or perhaps we’ll be proven wrong: a new episode of Duck Dynasty will airs Wednesday night at 10. Who knows how high these numbers could climb?
Chris Brown’s hit-and-run case was just dismissed by a judge, marking a much-needed and somewhat surprising legal victory for the embattled R&B star. Prosecutors argued that Chris deserved to be punished, and severely at that, for his alleged vehicular law-breaking earlier this summer. Not happening. Chris’ hit-and-run victim struck a civil compromise with him; she didn’t want any money and the damage was so minor, she just wanted the case dismissed. The L.A. City Attorney objected, arguing to the judge today that Brown was very aggressive toward the victim after the accident, which she did claim. Officials also argued that Brown was on felony probation and therefore his alleged misconduct was all the more serious, but the judge was not persuaded. The case was officially dismissed as of this morning. Brown’s lawyer, Mark Geragos said, echoing what Chris has said all along about this and other issues, “The case never should have been filed in the first place. “It’s unfortunate he was being prosecuted for who he is rather than what he’s done.” Team Breezy would concur. Now many he’ll be a little less down in the dumps . Chris Brown is Down
