Residents across Arkansas and in Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee and Mississippi reported on the U.S.G.S. website that they felt the 4.7 quake. Two earthquakes, one a 4.7-magnitude temblor and the second 3.8, rattled Arkansas and the surrounding region Sunday night, officials said. KUAR, the public radio station in Little Rock, said people across the state reported feeling the earth move. The epicenter was near Greenbriar, about 36 miles north of Little Rock.
