Giuliana Rancic on Cancer Treatment: It Was Hell …

Just weeks after undergoing a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery, E! News host Giuliana Rancic visited the Today show Friday with husband Bill. So how is the cancer survivor feeling now? “I feel great,” Giuliana told Matt Lauer. “I feel great considering it’s been only two and a half weeks, but I still have a ways to go as far as recovery.” The Giuliana & Bill star, who returned to work this week, has maintained a positive, but candid attitude about her breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Make no mistake, this was no easy decision – or ordeal. “It was definitely hard,” she said regarding how she felt immediately after her invasive surgery. “Up until about a week and a half ago it was hell.” Giuliana was on morphine, in extreme pain and sick to her stomach, but with Bill’s help, she managed to get out of bed – and set a hospital record! Giuliana’s doctor gave Bill strict orders to help her walk around the bed and the hospital to aid in her recovery, which provided her motivation. “I asked a nurse what the record was for walking laps around the hospital,” recalled said. “It was two,” Bill went on. “G did two and a half.”

The star made a brilliant inbounds pass to a streaking Dwyane Wade, who converted an alley-oop lay-up in the closing seconds to lift the Miami Heat to 4-0 Friday. The visiting Heat needed this improbable ending to get the job done, but thanks to James and Wade, they outlasted the scrappy Minnesota Timberwolves, 103-101. Katy Perry Divorce: Russell Brand Files on Behalf of Both For Family’s Sake

The divorce of Katy Perry and Russell Brand was months in the making, and the pop star was NOT blindsided by the actor/comedian’s filing, reports say. They decided Brand would file the court papers in the divorce because she didn’t want to upset her religious parents, sources close to the couple indicate. Katy and Russell knew the relationship was on the rocks months ago, but didn’t want to bail on the marriage without a concerted effort to work it out. Sadly, both sides ultimately felt “it just wasn’t there.” Katy Perry and Russell Brand in happier times . Katy and Russell were on board with the divorce weeks ago – there was no massive fight that triggered the split – but didn’t want to be in L.A. when the papers were filed. Thus, he went back to England and she went to Hawaii for Christmas. Fans of Katy know her parents are evangelical Christians, who raised her to believe that divorce is morally wrong. Out of respect to Katy and her family, Russell was the one to officially file; It’s unclear how or when Katy will legally respond. Brand released a statement confirming the split but insisting the two will always love each other and remain friends. Here’s hoping that’s true, but don’t bet on a reconciliation. If he had had his way, Hugh Hefner would have exchanged vows with Crystal Harris in the summer of 2011. But the Playboy founder says he won’t be making that same mistake in the new year, telling People this week that he ” dodged a bullet ” when Harris dumped him days before their scheduled June wedding. “I am clearly not meant to be married,” the 85-year old said. “Married life isn’t for me.” Don’t cry for Hef, however. He’s far from lonely. The bachelor refers to his latest girlfriends, Shera Berchard and Anna Berglund , as “special ladies” and told the magazine he’d be “on top of my game” in 2012. It’s unclear which of those women he’s nicknamed game .

Will Rihanna and Chris Brown do the unthinkable? Nearly three years after the infamous assault that ended their relationship and nearly put him in jail, the two are working toward getting back together, according one of the most prolific and unreliable celebrity news sources around! That’s crazy! Chris Brown and Rihanna’s Tweets this week got people talking, and MediaTakeOut (dot) com has apparently “been hearing reports for some time” that Rihanna and Brown are working on “RECONCILIATION” (their word, and unnecessary capitals). SO is it happening or not? According to the celebrity gossip site, a person close to Chris Brown says he’d like nothing more than to get back with her. But since the “incident” Chris felt that he’d destroyed any and all chances of a relationship with his “soul mate.” So he stayed away from her, by law, at her request. But now things have changed. Rihanna and Chris are speaking to each other on the phone, exchanging IMs and text messages to boot. Insanity! She’s in Barbados right now (check out these bikini photos !) but they reportedly plan to meet up when Rihanna returns to Los Angeles next week. Chris is said to be ecstatic, but Jay Z and Rihanna’s managers are reportedly furious that they’re back on speaking terms and may reconcile? Will they? Is any or all of this true?
