Source: Kevin C. Cox / Getty Don’t ask Drake to root for your team. Even though he picked Alabama over Clemson to win the national championship game tonight, Drake rooting for your team seems to be a kiss of death. Clemson not only beat Alabama to win their second national title in three years, they dominated them, destroyed them. Handed Nick Saban his worst loss as Alabama head coach. They even did a Suge Knight / Death Row reference to drive the point home! Dawg this is the best recruiting pitch ever ! pic.twitter.com/mJKngmi0l0 — The Mad King (@Kingkeraun) January 8, 2019 And naturally, Clemson had to clown Drake over his pick. Our followers have unanimously voted against this, apologies Drake https://t.co/6ql44eBZeB — Clemson Football (@ClemsonFB) January 8, 2019 But is there a Drake curse? Does having the blessing of the 6 God equate to an immediate loss for your favorite squad? I mean, outside of that time he showed up outside the Heat locker room when they won the NBA title in 2013. Let’s examine!
Source: Bettmann / Getty Ever since Quincy Jones ‘ Vulture interview set the Internet ablaze, folks have been fact checking the music legend’s surprising statements. One particular story caused major discussion when Quincy suggested actor Marlon Brando had sex with Richard Pryor. Richard’s widow, Jennifer Lee , even confirmed the statement as true. However, now Richard’s daughter — fellow comedian Rain Pryor — is stepping into the picture. In a Facebook post, she said Quincy’s statements were false. “Daddy did NOT have relations with Brando,” she said. “There were no trips to his South Pacific Oasis, no flowers or love notes between. Not even a film role.” Rain did however detail Richard’s relationship with a trans woman. “My dad was very open with his life, so much so that news of his relationship with a trans woman in the early 70s and 80s wasn’t really newsworthy nor notable,” she said. “As a child I knew her, not as the trans person in our home, but the lady whom everyone accepted. So much acceptance I did not know she was Trans until recently.” In a previous post, Rain went on to condemn Quincy Jones, calling him “once a brilliant music producer who is losing his mind, and decided to garner publicity for himself with a sensationalized interview.” You can check out both posts by Rain below as this story continues to be hotly debated.

Siovaughn Wade Pens Tell All Book About Marriage To Dwyane Siovaughn Wade is still coming for Dwyane Wade’s checks in a revised divorce settlement…but that’s not the only way she’s seeking to cash in on her failed marriage to the basketball star. Just last month, Siovaughn released a self-published tell-all memoir, entitled The True Story for God’s Glory , detailing the ins and outs of her time as a basketball wife and hitting rock bottom once it was all over. Via Chicago Tribune : Siovaughn Funches-Wade may be trying to squeeze an extra buck out of her $5 million divorce settlement from Chicago Bulls star Dwyane Wade, but she “loathed money” as their marriage fell apart, she says. In an emotionally raw autobiography published late last month, the basketball player’s former high school sweetheart admits she became “an arrogant diva” to try to fit in with the NBA wives club, repeats allegations made in court during a divorce battle that Wade beat her, and claims an unnamed mistress of Wade’s called her at 3 a.m. to boast about her trysts with Wade. She also complains that living with Wade in Miami was like living in a “$4 million … prison,” alleges that an unnamed former teammate of Wade’s with the Miami Heat “suggested that I have an affair right after a game while still inside the Miami Heat Arena,” and writes about her regrets over an abortion she had during a “hell on high heels life.” Damn, sounds crazy! Even though Siovaughn details a restrictive life with Dwyane — whom she never calls by name in the book — and details physical and emotional abuse at his hands…she says the obscene amounts of money the couple saw and her idolization of wealth is truly what took her down the darkest path of her life: Once they hit it rich, the stylish Wade would spend as much as $100,000 a month on custom clothes, she wrote. But when their marriage turned sour, she alleged in the book, he’d tell her “I want to sow my wild oats” and “This isn’t your money and if you leave, nobody is going to want you and you aren’t going to have anything without me. You will end up having to go back and live at your mama’s house!” Funches-Wade writes that she later found pictures and instant messages from other women on Wade’s phone. The marriage ended soon after, according to Funches-Wade’s account, when a woman called her in the middle of the night and told her she had just slept with Wade. The woman gave “a description of the underwear he was wearing,” Funches-Wade wrote. Still, Funches-Wade writes that money was the cause of her greatest struggle. “I got divorced and had both my children wrongfully taken from me, I lost my home and my health, my reputation was destroyed,” she wrote. “But it was all nothing compared to the pain I felt from the love of money. From that pain I am still healing to this day.” “I had never felt in my life true emptiness until my bank account was full.” Wow. Well Siovuaghn has never had a shortage of things to say about her ex-husband and their nasty split. Maybe now that she has it on the written page and out of her system she’ll find at least a little bit of closure… Splash/WENN
Trick Daddy Files For Bankruptcy As Child Support Problems Compound Pay yo bills! According to TMZ reports : Trick Daddy has filed for bankruptcy because, according to him … he’s got next to ZERO money in the bank, and his baby mama bills keep piling up. The Miami rapper filed for Chapter 11 saying he’s got about $430k in assets – which sounds decent, except he’s also $645k in the red! Including: $34,837 child support to one mother, $22,282 to another, $290k in back taxes, and $280k for his first mortgage. Interestingly, Trick Daddy says he still makes about $14,500 a month — most of it off music publishing and club gigs — and doesn’t live a baller lifestyle. Hell, TD says he only has $550 in clothes and jewelry! So fiscally responsible. Outside of baby mamas and the IRS. What the hell was Trick Daddy doing with his money instead of taking care of his kids! Image via Getty
