With the 2018-2019 NBA season kicks off this week Lonzo Ball is dropping his new shoe. The Los Angeles Laker has debuted three colorways of his ZO2.19. As the new edition to the portfolio these models come with slight updates to the construction. Source: BIG BALLER BRAND / BIG BALLER BRAND As  Hype Beast reports the shoes feature full grain leather forefoot strap and ultra soft genuine suede on the upper panel. According to the Big Baller Brand e-store the foaming has also been advanced. “ZO2.19 revolutionary foam has 40% more rebound than standard EVA foam. The ZO2.19 rides lower for better feel and stability while still providing incredible impact protection”. The ZO2.19’s will be available in three siloheuttes including a “Madagasgar” colorway, “New White” and “Lilac”. To support the launch BBB produced a video spot that is a clear nod to the classic Michael Jordan and Mars Blackmon commercials from the 1990’s. Image via Prince Williams/WireImage/Getty Erica Mena And Cliff Dixon Arrested Following Domestic Dispute S**t got ugly at the home of perpetual reality TV cast member Erica Mena and her basketballer boyfriend Cliff Dixon. According to TMZ , both Erica and Cliff were arrested at their residence in John’s Creek, Georgia after neighbors reported hearing a fight getting completely out of control. When police arrived on the scene they saw a bedroom door that had been destroyed after Cliff broke through it in an attempt to get to Erica. Several people were interviewed and one of the couple’s roommates said they heard the sound of someone being slapped. Although no visible marks were found on either person, Cliff was arrested for kicking the door down and Erica was cuffed for possession of marijuana after cops spotted a few baggies of the loud and some THC wax in their kitchen and bedroom. Mona is probably loving this.

Big Ballers Beware! LaVar’s Shoe Brand Got An “F” Rating From The Better Business Bureau For “Substandard Business Practice”

Big Baller Brand Given F-Rating By Better Business Bureau LaVar Ball’s Big Baller Brand is facing some serious problems with an even bigger BBB — the Better Business Bureau. For the unfamiliar, The Better Business Bureau is a nonprofit organization that has been around for over 100 years that monitors business practices in the interest of consumer protection. According to them… Big Baller Brand is a borderline scam-level operation . Mind you, the company’s ZO2 shoes go for $495, with sandals starting at $220, and the Melo Ball 1’s are $395. Hoodies start at around $100. But that price tag isn’t exactly coming with a high-quality product or particularly good customer service, let customer reviews tell it. According to NYDN, the company has received 32 complaints and 44 negative reviews — no positive reviews AT ALL — on the Better Business Bureau. Those figures exceed the limit to give LaVar’s brand the lowest rating possible by the business evaluator. The most common complaints are from customers who never received their products , weren’t refunded, or received the wrong items altogether. And apparently, when the company fails to deliver on product and customers inquire about their shipment status, the company calls them broke and does not refund the money. One customer wrote on the site last November: “This company does not offer refunds. I purchased 2 items and was told there would be a 1-2 week delay. I have been waiting 6 weeks now, and when I asked why it was taking so long, I was called a ‘small baller’. At this point I believe they have decided to steal my money.” The Better Business Bureau reports that they’ve reached out to BBB multiple times to help with their consumer issues…but unsurprisingly the offer has been pretty much ignored. Sheesh. We guess the issues should have been obvious when not even Jay-Z managed to receive his Big Baller purchase from LaVar & crew. SMH. Getty/WENN

Now, Russell is getting a chance to show off his style and personality on the pages of this month’s GQ Magazine . In an article titled “Why Not Russell Westbrook?” the baller explains his life philosophy… Via : “Why not?” It’s a mantra that’s governed his disposition as long as he’s been in the spotlight, evident in the unflinching way he both plays the game and picks his clothes (fashion’s his other fixation). But his embrace of the phrase Why not? goes back to well before he was famous. “My friends and I started that motto early in high school,” Westbrook says. “That attitude, that mentality, from way back then: Want to go to Stanford? Why not? Want to play in the NBA? Why not? I was never the best player. Not ever in my life. Though even when I was younger, I felt that on any given day I could be. And that mentality’s what’s helped me get over the hump each and every day to where I was meant to go.” …and in addition to Russel’s pretty eye-opening and in-depth interview, there’s also plenty of style shots of the baller in his signature skintight style…
