Honestly no offence intended. 2/2 — Matt Frei (@mattfrei) September 23, 2015 Via NY Daily News reports : A British news anchor is in the hot seat after telling viewers Wednesday that President Obama was ‘smiling like a split watermelon’ during a meeting with the Pope. Matt Frei, an editor at Britain’s Channel 4 News, made the shocking racial slur while reporting about Pope Francis’ historic trip to the U.S., where he was feted by a visibly ecstatic Obama. Frei immediately apologized, telling his Twitter followers that he was unaware of the racial undertones associated with his expression. “I apologize to those upset by my description of President Obama’s smile on tonight’s program. “It was intended as an entirely innocent phrase that apparently has a history I simply wasn’t aware of. London Attack: British Soldier Killed With Cleaver, Officials Decry Terrorism

A man believed to be a British soldier was hacked to death in broad daylight by two men with a cleaver in what officials are calling a terrorist attack. As the victim, dressed in what looked to be a T-shirt for Help for Heroes, a charity for military veterans, lay dying, one of the attackers found a camera. “We swear by almighty Allah we will never stop fighting you until you leave us alone,” said a meat-cleaver-wielding man with bloody hands. London Attack “The only reasons we killed this man … is because Muslims are dying daily,” he added. “This British soldier is an eye for an eye , a tooth for tooth.” One witness, Michael Atlee, described the gruesome, frenzied and ultimately fatal sequence of events Wednesday afternoon as “a bloody mess.” British Prime David Cameron called it a terrorist attack. “We will never buckle to terror,” he wrote on Twitter. A witness, who identified himself only as James, said he saw two men standing by the victim, who was on the ground in the UK capital’s Woolwich neighborhood. “They were hacking at this poor guy, literally,” he told the radio station, as if they were trying to remove his organs. “These two guys were crazed.” “They were just not there. They were just animals.” Afterward, the men appeared to want to be filmed, with one going over to a bus and asking people to take photos of him as if he wanted to be on TV. A man who asked not to be identified told police that he was on his way to a job interview when he came up on the scene and started filming it. Then, a man with a meat cleaver and knife in his bloody hands “came straight to me (and) said, ‘No, no, no, it’s cool. I just want to talk to you.'” The man, who had a London accent, was calm. The suspect even apologized to women who had witnessed the attack, but then quickly added “in our lands our women have to see the same.” “You people will never be safe,” he said. “Remove your government. They don’t care about you. You think David Cameron is going to get caught in the street when we start busting our guns?” “Get rid of them. Tell them to bring our troops back so we can all live in peace.”

Muslim Men Brutally Kill British Man In Revenge Attack For Muslim Killings Two Muslim men who viciously attacked a British man in London reportedly admitted that the motive for the attack was to get revenge against senseless killings against Mulsim citizens. via CNN They first hit the man, thought to be a British soldier, with a car in broad daylight. Then the two attackers hacked him to death and dumped his body in the middle of a southeastern London road. Zig Ziglar, a motivational speaker who wrote more than 30 books on living a balanced life, and who built a huge following over his long life, has died in Texas. He was 86. Ziglar, who had been suffering from pneumonia, passed away Wednesday at a hospital in the Dallas suburb of Plano, said his assistant, Jay Hellwig. With an aim at helping people achieve success in both their careers and personal lives, in addition to a focus on Christianity, Ziglar was a prolific speaker. He appeared at events alongside world leaders over the years, including several U.S. presidents and former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher. “Mr. Ziglar was the same guy behind the closed doors as he was preparing for his presentations to thousands of people that he was when sitting at the kitchen table,” Hellwig said. Ziglar started his fulltime career in motivational speaking when he was in his 40s. His first book, “See You at the Top,” was published in 1975, when he was 49. “He got saved at the age of 42, which means that he accepted Jesus Christ as his savior,” Hellwig said. “Ever since that day is what he said was the turning point of his life.” “The last 41 years of his life he lived fully with that as his mission. He also had the uncanny ability to make everyone he ran into feel like they were his friend.” A World War II veteran from Yazoo City, Miss., he went to work in sales for a series of companies, where his interest in motivational speaking grew. Ziglar’s company, which features more than a dozen speakers advocating the “Ziglar Way” in his vein, offers motivation and performance training. One of his many well-known books, “Confessions of a Grieving Christian,” was written after the 1995 death of his oldest daughter, Suzan, at the age of 46. Another daughter, Julie Ziglar Norman, co-wrote “Embrace the Struggle,” a book that described how his life changed after he suffered a brain injury 2007. In addition to his daughter, Ziglar is survived by his wife Jean, with whom he celebrated 66 years of marriage Monday; his son, Tom Ziglar; and daughter Cindy Oates.

Wednesday’s CBS Evening News, without Katie Couric, uniquely amongst the broadcast network evening newscasts tied Discovery Channel hostage-taker/bomber James Lee to Al Gore and, even more miraculously, highlighted how Tony Blair, in his new book, describes George W. Bush as “intelligent.” Reporter Wyatt Andrews relayed in his story on the incident in suburban DC: In an anti-corporate protest two years ago, Lee was arrested while throwing cash outside of Discovery’s offices. He said in court he had been moved to save the planet, partly by Al Gore’s documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. Neither ABC nor NBC mentioned Gore’s inspiration. (ABC’s Pierre Thomas on World News: Lee “has protested at the Discovery Channel repeatedly, raising concerns about the environment and over-population.” NBC’s Tom Costello on Nightly News referred to Lee “handing out a rambling leaflet that called on Discovery to devote more programming to global warming and animal extinction.”) Later in the newscast, fill-in anchor Harry Smith squeezed in a short note about A Journey: My Political Life : “Tony Blair’s long-awaited memoir is out tonight and it includes the former British Prime Minister’s take on some of the famous and powerful. President Bush: ‘Intelligent,’ ‘knew exactly what he wanted’…” Washington, DC area viewers, however, didn’t learn who Gore inspired or Blair admired since WUSA-TV channel 9, CBS’s Gannett-owned DC affiliate, didn’t carry Wednesday’s CBS Evening News, electing to stay with local coverage of the Silver Spring, Maryland events.

The Newest and youngest British Prime Minister David Cameron in nearly 200 years. Here’s the full text of his speech: ”Her Majesty the Queen has asked me to form a new government and I have accepted. ”Before I talk about that new government, let me say something about the one that has just passed. ”Compared with a decade ago, this country is more open at home and more compassionate abroad and that is something we should all be grateful for and on behalf of the whole country I’d like to pay tribute to the outgoing prime minister for his long record of dedicated public service. ”In terms of the future, our country has a hung parliament where no party has an overall majority and we have some deep and pressing problems – a huge deficit, deep social problems, a political system in need of reform. ”For those reasons I aim to form a proper and full coalition between the Conservatives and the Liberal Democrats. ”I believe that is the right way to provide this country with the strong, the stable, the good and decent government that I think we need so badly. ”Nick Clegg and I are both political leaders that want to put aside party differences and work hard for the common good and for the national interest. ”I believe that is the best way to get the strong government that we need, decisive government that we need today. ”I came into politics because I love this country. I think its best days still lie ahead and I believe deeply in public service. ”And I think the service our country needs right now is to face up to our really big challenges, to confront our problems, to take difficult decisions, to lead people through those difficult decisions, so that together we can reach better times ahead. ”One of the tasks that we clearly have is to rebuild trust in our political system. Yes that’s about cleaning up expenses, yes that is about reforming parliament, and yes it is about making sure people are in control – and that the politicians are always their servant and never their masters. ”But I believe it is also something else. It is about being honest about what government can achieve. Real change is not what government can do on its own – real change is when everyone pulls together, comes together, works together, where we all exercise our responsibilities to ourselves, to our families, to our communities and to others. “And I want to help try and build a more responsible society here in Britain. One where we don’t just ask what are my entitlements, but what are my responsibilities. “One where we don’t ask what am I just owed, but more what can I give. “And a guide for that society – that those that can should, and those who can’t we will always help. “I want to make sure that my government always looks after the elderly, the frail the poorest in our country. “We must take everyone through with us on some of the difficult decisions we have ahead. “Above all it will be a government that is built on some clear values. Values of freedom, values of fairness, and values of responsibility. “I want us to build an economy that rewards work. I want us to build a society with stronger families and stronger communities. And I want a political system that people can trust and look up to once again. “This is going to be hard and difficult work. A coalition will throw up all sorts of challenges. “But I believe together we can provide that strong and stable government that our country needs based on those values – rebuilding family, rebuilding community, above all, rebuilding responsibility in our country. “Those are the things I care about. It has currently reached to 45% from 15%. Today’s debate is considered as the last chance for Gordon Brown to regain party position. Some experts would say that it is an electoral suicide. It’s the time to justify yourself rather than use comments to people. When Brown came to know about the error he has committed, he started to worry for it wasn’t intentional; however, the damage has been done and all he must to is to justify himself to the public.
