Guess she wasn’t worried about Diddy too much… Jennifer Lopez Opens Up On Split From Ben Affleck Just days after revealing emotional and verbal abuse at the hands of one of her many exes, Jennifer Lopez is delving deeper into her first major heartbreak that inadvertently led to her longest-running marriage . Via PageSix : Jennifer Lopez was heartbroken when her relationship with Ben Affleck ended in 2004 — but also quick to move on with her now ex-husband, Marc Anthony. In an interview with Marria Shriver airing Monday and Tuesday on “Today,” Lopez opened up about both relationships. “Right away when you broke up with Ben Affleck, Marc Anthony was there, like, two days later, and you were in,” recalled Shriver, referring to Lopez ending her relationship with Affleck in January and beginning her quick courtship with Anthony soon after. By June 2004 the singers were married. “Right, you’re absolutely right,” said the “American Idol” judge. “It was probably my first big heartbreak, and to have one of my best friends who I’d known for years who I actually love and did have chemistry with come into my life and say, ‘I’m here.’ What you need to know is, nobody can save you or heal you. Only you can do that for you.” Lopez, who has a string of exes — including three ex-husbands — has said in recent months that she’s taking a break from men for a bit. “I’m open to love, but right now, I think it’s better to just be on my own for a minute and learn more about myself,” the 45-year-old told Shriver. In Lopez’s new memoir, “True Love,” out Nov. 4, she details the painful time in her life when she realized her marriage to Anthony was coming to an end. “My kids were only like three years old at the time and the whole thing was heartbreaking and it’s so funny how life is like that sometimes,” the singer told Meredith Vieira in an interview airing Monday. “You are having tremendous highs and at the same time you are going through, probably the worst moment of my life at that moment.” In her book, Lopez also writes about suffering from mental, emotional and verbal abuse in the past, but doesn’t specify which of her exes were abusive. “I’ve never gotten a black eye or a busted lip, but I’ve been in relationships where I have felt abused in way or another: mentally, emotionally, verbally,” she writes. “I know what it feels like for your soul to be diminished by the way your loved one is treating you.” She’s just airing out ALL her personal business, huh? On one occasion she instructed a man, Dean Hicks, to knock at her front door and then burst in and ‘rape’ her. But Berry, a temporary administrator from Grove Park, south east London, didn’t give Mr Hicks her own address, but that of a female acquaintance, who cannot be identified for legal reasons. ‘How did she do it? She went on various sex chat websites. She pretended she was [the victim], she gave [the victim’s] address, she used her name, she gave the registration of her car which was going to be parked outside, pretended to be her. ‘She then told the men to come round and engage in a fantasy rape game with her, basically to rape her.’ Not only was she determined to get her colleague assaulted, she was doing so at the cost of some innocent superfreak looking for a little random rough cougar action. We’re sure he’ll get a nice severance package if things don’t work out J.Lo Says She’s Not Certain Whether Or Not She Will Marry Casper Smart Via People After a year away from American Idol, Jennifer Lopez is returning to the judges’ panel a changed woman. “That was such a transformative year for me in so many ways,” Lopez told reporters Monday ahead of Wednesday’s premiere of Idol’s 13th season. “I had just divorced, I went on tour with the kids, and I left Idol. All my security blankets were gone, and I was out there doing something I had never done before.” But as she travelled the globe on her first world tour, she relied on support from her mother and boyfriend Casper Smart, whom Lopez called “fantastic” with her twins Emme and Max, 5. “I was surrounded by love and family,” said Lopez, 44. “I really grew. My goal was not to come out the other side and just survive it but grow as a human being as well as an artist, and I felt I did. I learned a lot.” One thing Lopez has learned is to accept that she is someone who prefers to be in a relationship. “I’m one of those people who does not like to be alone,” she said. “I have no shame saying that at this point in my life. I think we have to own who we are.” As for the broom-jumping… “I don’t know. We’ll see. I don’t know,” she said when asked if she would like to get married for the fourth time. “You know, I’ve always believed in that institution. I believe in it, but it is difficult. I’ve had my challenges, but at the same time I believe in love, and I think that is the main thing.” Sounds like she’s not ready for her fourth divorce quite yet…we’ll give her some time. They had a close talk in the water and she had a big smile on her face. Afterwards they laid together on their beach bed for the afternoon. She looked so young and beautiful.
