Chord Overstreet let his music do the emotional talking over the weekend. The Glee star, who is yet to comment publicly on the death of Cory Monteith , played an unknown and unnamed acoustic song at The Roxy in Los Angeles, simply telling fans “This one is for you, Cory.” Listen now: Chord Overstreet Plays Song for Cory Monteith Late last week, Ryan Murphy revealed his show’s plans to honor Monteith and the character of Finn on Glee Season 5 , while Fox pushed the September premiere back a week. Monteith’s body, meanwhile, has been cremated and the official autopsy lists his cause of death as a mixture of heroin and alcohol. We continue to send our best wishes to Cory’s loved ones.

Dennis Farina Dies at 69

Dennis Farina, a veteran actor most recently seen on two episodes of New Girl , passed away today at the age of 69. The star’s publicist confirmed the news to The Associated Press and said his client died of a blood clot in his long while inside his Scottdale, Arizona home. Farina helped anchor such iconic films as Get Shorty , Snatch and Midnight Run . He also appeared on HBO’s Luck and stopped by the aforementioned Fox sitcom as Nick Miller’s dad. Farina has three adult children from his marriage to Patricia Farina, from whom he split in 1980. He also has two granddaughters and four grandsons. Our thoughts go out to his loved one and we’ll update this story with the cause of death when that information becomes available.

“There’s a great story about Clint Eastwood in Unforgiven ,” said Dennis Farina, in New York recently to discuss his gritty, sensational aging-hustler drama The Last Rites of Joe May . “Clint Eastwood had that script for 15 years and he felt like he wasn’t ready to make it until he got much older, and he understood it better. I’m 68 now, so there’s a certain credibility that comes with just being 60 or 70 years old and your understanding of life.”
