He also mentions, ad nauseam, that his daddy wasn’t always around. That makes sense, right? After all, Daddy Dennis was in Memphis while Drake and his mother were in Toronto. So naturally we all assumed this was a true reflection of the former Degrassi star’s life. Dennis Graham took to Nick Cannon’s show to talk about his relationship with Drake and he had this to say: “I have always been with Drake. I said, ‘Drake why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.’ And he goes ‘Dad, it sells records.’” Well, then. Source: Under Armour / Under Armour The New York Knick’s Dennis Smith Jr . might’ve struck out at the 2019 NBA Slam Dunk Contest, but the hoopers in his old stomping grounds of Fayetteville, NC were still winners at the end of NBA All-Star Weekend. In conjunction with Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks & Recreation, Dennis Smith Jr. and Under Armour went to DSJ’s hometown and treated the city to a carnival-style celebration as part of the unveiling of two refurbished basketball courts at the Smith Recreation Center. Seabrook Park at Smith Recreation Center is where Dennis grew up learning and growing his unique brand of basketball. Countless hours spent on these courts molded Dennis into the athlete he’s become – in his never ending pursuit of getting better. Now, with Under Armour, Dennis has the opportunity to pay it back and pave a way forward for the next generation of Fayetteville dreamers, helping to completely refurbish and revitalize the two courts he grew up playing on. And now he’s made it possible for someone else from his old home to follow in his footsteps and make their way to the NBA. Back in January, we learned that Southern Charm star Kathryn Dennis is dating singer Hunter Price . In a new photo, Kathryn is gushing about her current man and how happy he makes her. At the same time, she is taking a well-deserved swipe at her disgraced ex, Thomas Ravenel. In a new photo, Kathryn Dennis lounges on a large, comfortable chair while facing boyfriend Hunter Price. Though she has avoided direct, public jabs at ex Thomas Ravenel outside of their custody battle, it is difficult to read her caption as anything but. “Didn’t think I’d smile like this again but there you are,” Kathryn writes. Then, so that there can be no mistake, she tags Hunter in her captions. She punctuates her post with a tasteful black heart emoji. This is so sweet! And Kathryn was not the only one who took to Instagram to gush about the photo and her feelings surrounding it. Hunter also shared the image with his followers, though his caption was a little different. “My best friend,” he writes alongside the picture, coupled with a snowflake emoji. Like Kathryn, Hunter mostly uses his Instagram for photos of himself. He is a Country musician, and that is what his followers want to see. He and Kathryn interrupt the flow of their pages with photos of each other on rare occassions, but followers want to see those, too. For the record, Hunter also recently shared a screenshot to brag about Khloe Kardashian having “liked” one of his posts. It’s tempting to poke fun at him for that excitement, but who among us wouldn’t do the same? Sure, Hunter is a Country musician and his lady love is a reality star. But stars are still allowed to get starstruck. And it’s clear that Hunter and Kathryn are over the moon about each other. Saying that it’s been a while since Ashley smiled would be hyperbolic. But she has been going through a time with ex Thomas Ravenel, and that began before this custody battle. For that matter, it began before Thomas was publicly accused of rape by multiple women, let alone arrested over one of the incidents. About a year ago, Southern Charm viewers watched as Thomas and then-girlfriend Ashley seemed determine to make Kathryn’s life miserable. Kathryn, in turn, displayed a remarkable amount of chill, which earned her praise from viewers and castmates alike. But now, she’s fighting for custody of her children, and Thomas isn’t going down without a fight. In a very public Instagram post last year, Thomas Ravenel brutally admonished Ashley for disparaging Kathryn. In court documents, however, Thomas accuses Kathryn of being a drug fiend who trades and buys drugs from everyone in her orbit. (He even accuses her of swapping drugs with producers and castmates on Southern Charm ) Kathryn has years worth of drug tests that disprove that, but Thomas also claims that she purchases synthetic urine, so none of those tests count. It’s good that she has sources of comfort during this difficult time, and that one of those supportive loved ones is Hunter Price. This custody battle is probably going to get worse before it’s over. Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley’s relationship may have started with a bunch of hurdles, but Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta showed that they were in it for the long haul. Dennis had been dropping hints about a proposal to Williams for quite some time, so she kept getting her hopes up only to be let down. Porsha and Dennis went out for dinner and drinks with Shamari and Ronnie DeVoe. That’s when Dennis opened up to Ronnie about his plans. “Oh, you’re gonna propose on Friday?!” Ronnie whispered in excitement. “Damn, son! You got it all mapped out?” “I got it mapped out. She don’t know,” Dennis replied before confirming that his romantic plans involved a helicopter ride. Thankfully, Lauren, Porsha’s sister was in the know from the get-go, so she was on hand to help out in any way she could. That meant keeping up the ruse that Porsha was on her way to a charity event. “For real, I’m legit scared,” Porsha said of getting on a helicopter. “I actually texted [Dennis] the other day, and I was like, ‘I don’t think I even wanna do the thing. Just cancel it. Let’s just do something else.’ And he sounded so disappointed that we weren’t gonna go. So I was like, ‘Okay, you know what? Fine. We’ll go.'” When the day arrived, Porsha and Dennis managed to get in and out of the helicopter without any issues. That was a huge positive given how scared Porsha was. Williams was concerned because there were no other people around. “They’re probably here already,” Dennis replied. “They can only fit one couple at a time.” Porsha totally bought it. “I’m glad I got my makeup done!” Porsha said as the duo walked into the high-class building. In a truly romantic moment, Porsha realized her favorite song was playing. When the pair got to the room, there were flowers, photographers and even the singer of her favorite song. “Would you like to be Mrs. McKinley?” Dennis said as he got down on one knee. Porsha gleefully accepted. “You don’t understand how many times we have sung this song in the car to each other,” Porsha said in a confessional. “I have my parts, he has his parts, and Lil’ Mo is here singing it to us! I’ve dreamed about how he was gonna propose. I thought he was gonna propose in Miami, I thought he was gonna propose here, I thought he was gonna propose there.” “But for him to do it like this with the helicopter and Lil’ Mo and all the flowers and — can we talk about the ring? He did that! Thank you, boo!” “Just thinking about how alone I was at first, and now,” Porsha said as she fought back tears. “No one will ever understand what it means for me to have gone through a miscarriage before, all by myself, without the person who made that child with me as my support, to now be pregnant and have the man who is the father of my child be so loving, so thoughtful. It means the world to me.” Elsewhere on this romantic installment: – Kand and Todd continued their quest to have another child. Todd was still on the fence of taking the surrogacy route, but started to question everything when they met Shandi, a potential person who could carry their child. – Eva tried to find the perfect dress for her upcoming wedding, but she was shocked to learn the one she had her eye on could not be made in time. – Nene and Gregg couldn’t stop arguing, and Nene started to wonder whether their relationship was, once again, about to come to an end. Disgraced former Southern Charm star Thomas Ravenel will stand trial for sexual assault , and he is also being sued for the same incident. His baby mama and ex, Kathryn Dennis, is making the best of Christmas for their two very young children. She even shared a series of sweet Christmas photos. See them for yourself: “Real life,” Kathryn Dennis captioned this short series of pictures. In the pictures, she poses alongside her very young children. Her daughter, Kensington Calhoun Ravenel, is four years old. Her son, Saint Julien Rembert Ravenel, is is only two. As you can see, both are decked out in festive attire for the occassion. Kathryn also put the photos into context and sent a message with her tags. “#Christmasfamilyphoto,” Kathryn writes. “#reality.” She is a star of reality television, but Kathryn places herself among a growing number of reality stars who use social media to share this message: Reality television is not real life. Not for the first time, Kathryn is reminding her fans and followers that what they see on camera is just that. It’s entertainment. Her real life — her reality — revolves around her two precious children. Of course, there are other, less pleasant parts of Kathryn’s life these days. She is engaged in a court battle for primary custody of Kensie and Saint. According to Kathryn’s court filings, Thomas goes through “periods of impulsive and uncontrollable bouts of anger.” That is something that matches up with what multiple people, including his own friends and former castmates, have said. Kathryn’s court documents say that Thomas struggles with “extreme narcissism and anger management problems.” Per the court accusation, she also accuses him of relying “upon the use of full-time nannies.” And that is not the end of it. Court documents allege that Thomas “has drunk alcohol to excess, mixed with prescription drugs, that has caused him to be impaired.” Partying on your own time is fine, but she says that Thomas has done this “during periods of time in which he had custody of the children.” That might be mitigated if he is relying upon full-time nannies, but ti’s not exactly encouraging. Combined with everything else, including the two accusations of sexual assault, and it doesn’t paint a pretty picture of Thomas as a man or as a father. Thomas, however, hit back. Thomas argued that Kathryn made these court arguments “in bad faith.” He went on to argue that Kathryn did so “for the purpose of garnering media attention.” Thomas even alleged that Kathryn was bent toward “creating material for her storyline on Southern Charm and ensuring her marketability as a ‘reality TV star.'” Kathryn’s priority is her children. Everything else is secondary. Because celebrity court battles are so very public, it is not uncommon for one party to argue that the other is just trying to feed a media frenzy. Sometimes, the men who make these arguments are just bad dudes. One thing that we should point out about these Christmas photos is that we don’t know who took them. It could be anyone — hired help, a friend, or any family member. It could also be Thomas Ravenel himself. Sometimes, parents set aside their differences on holidays, especially when young children are involved. That said, it appears that Thomas and Kathryn held separate Christmases for their children at separate homes. A wise decision. We begin the episode with Porsha’s revelation that she won’t be telling the group or even Dennis’ mother about her baby just yet since it’s still early. But speaking of Dennis’s mother, Porsha is definitely still trying to impress her. However, Mama Dennis is still keeping her eye on Porsha and definitely wants to know what her thoughts are about prenups. Now let’s cut to the trip. It ends up becoming a girls trip to Destin, Fl. So many of the guys end up dropping out, for various reasons, that Gregg doesn’t want to be the only man present and drops out too. That’s how it becomes the ladies’ takeover. They all meet at Kandi’s house and drive to Florida. They play games to pass the time, starting with truth or dare. Here we go… Shamari is up first, and her dare is to let the nearest woman suck her fingers. That would be Eva, who is actually game. Shamari tells Eva she got a nice little tongue on her. Eva and Kandi get a similar dare, which is to talk dirty to your man on speakerphone. Both situations are a bust. But then, Porsha picks truth and that opens the floodgates for instant messiness. NeNe starts it off by asking Porsha if Dennis dated someone on the bus or someone that knows someone on the bus. Nene knew she was being messy too. So, the topic comes up again and Malo jumps in asking Kandi to clarify. Kandi reiterates for the billionth time that she knows someone who dated him off and on over the last 6 months but then adds that she thinks they were dealing with each other as recently as a month and a half ago, in what was described as a casual fling. Porsha doubles down, claiming that they’ve been in a monogamous relationship. Then Kandi blows up Porsha’s spot and says that she saw Porsha boo’d up with another guy just three months prior to her getting all serious with Dennis. We all knew there was something fishy going on. Finally, the group settles into the house and then continues the messiness over dinner. This time, Cynthia initiates a discussion with Eva. Basically, she wanted to know why Eva went on a bachelorette trip to Miami (which was right before this trip) and didn’t invite any of them, especially NeNe, who is actually in her wedding, and Eva claims is like her big sister. Eva says it was a surprise trip, but not like a suprise, surprise, then Porsha pipes up saying she was actually invited so now and now they’re looking at her like: This does strike NeNe as shady but she doesn’t seem to take it too hard. We move on and Shamari says she feels some type of way about Porsha trying to shade her style at the Bailey Q, only it wasn’t Porsha that shaded her, it was Eva. They don’t even remember who shades who and Eva didn’t even remember shading her. Anyway, they settle that score peacefully and manage to get through dinner smoothly. But next week, it’s looking like things will get tense between Shamari and Marlo. After widespread speculation, the RHOA star announced that she and her businessman bae Dennis McKinley are getting married. Porsha made it official on Instagram with pics from the proposal at Atlanta’s Ventanas event space. Porsha’s ring is a whopping THIRTEEN CARATS and was designed by Richie Rich at Leon Diamond in New York. Interestingly enough Porsha and Dennis were seen leaving the jewelry store back in July. Carole Radziwil is no longer a member of The Real Housewives family. But the former Bravo star still chimed in this evening in response to a major loss for someone within this family. We’re talking, of course, about Dennis Shields. The 51-year old, known well to The Real Housewives of New York City viewers as the on-again/off-again boyfriend of Bethenny Frankel, was found dead on Friday morning. According to a number of outlets, Shields appeared to have overdosed on prescription pills, with various sources saying he actually asked his assistant to give him a dose of Narcan around 9 a.m. on Friday because he knew something was amiss. Narcan is a drug that is used to combat the effects of an opioid overdose. Sadly, the request came too late. Shields fell unconscious and was pronounced dead a short time later. An autopsy is pending, but it is believed that Shields overdosed on oxycodone. Frankel, who just discussed her relationship with Shields on the latest episode of the aforementioned Bravo series , has not yet commented on this tragedy. But her main nemesis on the program has gone ahead and released a statement. Via Twitter, Radziwill acknowledged Shields’ passing and said the following: I just heard the sad news about Dennis. He was a good man. My condolences to all his family and friends. So tragic. Radzwill is the first of Frankel’s costars to speak on the Shields’ passing. The journalist announced last month that she’s leaving the program after six seasons, telling Us Weekly: “I have decided to return to what I do best: journalism and producing.” Many fans of this franchise believe that Radzwill was either forced out by producers due to her feud with Frankel or left due to this rivalry. Either way, things between Carole and Bethenny have been contentious for a long time now. But an awful event such as this pushes all of that tension to the side. It puts things into perspective. Frankel and Shields starting dating in 2016, about 30 years after they first met. The two stayed in touch over all those decades, eventually getting together at Shields separated from his wife and Frankel divorced Jason Hoppy. The romance was up and down and was often chronicled on The Real Housewives of New York City. On the August 8 installment of this series, Frankel confided in Dorinda Medley, saying she needed a break: “I didn’t say it to Dennis, but in my own mind, I said, ’90 days. I’m not saying a word to Dennis for 90 days.’ It’s a really hard thing to realize that someone you love, it doesn’t mean they’re the right person, “And I wish he was.” Shields was still technically married to his estranged wife Jill at the time of his death. This is what she said soon after the news became public: “We are all heartbroken. Dennis was, and will always be, the love of my life. His spirit lives on in our children. Please respect our family’s privacy at this time.” The NYPD, meanwhile, has confirmed hat “police responded to a 911 call of an aided male inside of 721 5th Avenue. Upon arrival, they discovered the unconscious male at the location. E “MS responded and pronounced the man deceased.” We send our condolences to the loved one sof Dennis Shields. Williams suffers from thyroid issues as well as graves disease, months ago she fainted while filming. Doctors have ordered her to take a vacation so she can feel better.
