Back in July, Amber Portwood was arrested on domestic violence charges after allegedly assaulting boyfriend Andrew Glennon. At the time, several of Portwood's Teen Mom OG castmates stood by her side, including Catelynn Lowell, who tweeted that fans should wait until they have all the facts and refrain from rushing to judgment. Of course, Lowell's comments were made prior to the release of shocking new audio recordings in which Portwood can be heard threatening to stab Glennon . Now, Catelynn is speaking out again — but instead of defending Amber, she's defending victims everywhere. Take a look: 1. The Best of Friends Few people can relate to the unique struggles Amber and Catelynn have faced over the course of the past decade, so it should come as no surprise that the reality stars developed a close friendship. 2. When Loyalty Creates Problems In that way, it makes sense that — along with the rest of the Moms — Catelynn’s first instinct was to defend and support her longtime friend. 3. At one time or another, just about every star in the Teen Mom universe has publicly griped about the demands of the show. Whether it’s the haters, the editing, or the never-ending feuds among co-stars, it seems the six-figure gig isn’t as cushy as many fans seem to believe. Prior to being fired from Teen Mom OG , Farrah Abraham probably did the most complaining.’ She was closely followed by Jenelle Evans, who was later axed from Teen Mom 2. (Though it’s worth noting that Jenelle’s firing had less to do with her complaints and more to do with allowing her husband to murder the family dog .) But none of those cases have prevented Kailyn Lowry from speaking her mind about the unique challenges faced by young moms in the spotlight. To be fair, Kail’s comments are not complaints so much as observations about her complicated relationship with the show. After all, she couldn’t really pursue secondary careers as a podcaster and memoirist if she weren’t willing to be totally honest and candid with her fans. No one wants to buy an autobiography that’s really just a thinly-veiled 300-page advertisement for MTV. In keeping with her long history of being real with fans, Kail spoke her truth in a recent interview with Hollywood Life . Asked about the ongoing issue of the annual reunion show taping, Kail revealed that she took a stand by refusing to bring her children with her to the marathon filming sessions. “I started refusing to bring the kids because of all the drama and I think the other cast members felt the same way or they had the same reservations around the same time,” she told the outlet. Yes, Kail is essentially Teen Mom 2 ‘s de facto labor leader, winning new rights for the other moms and setting an example as to how they should interact with their bosses. “And it was just a huge, as far as the reunion segments go, they were long days,” she added. “We were all in the studio with the kids for like 12 hours. So it just didn’t make sense to have us all there and do it that way. So I started saying, ‘Well, I’m not bringing my kids.’” Of course, Kail says she might be inclined to think of the situation differently now that circumstances have changed (read: Jenelle Evans got fired ). “Well, now that we’ve done it a little bit differently I would like to film a reunion segment with my kids so I don’t know, we’ll see about this year,” she told Hollywood Life . Some fans have suggested that Kail’s decision might be a bit of a bummer for the kids of TM2. After all, the reunions were one of the only times they all got to see one another — and it’s not like the kids at school can relate to their situation. But Kail insists that’s a non-issue as there was very little interaction among the offspring at the tapings. “The kids don’t see each other — they don’t remember each other,” she said. The young men voiced a strong urge to give back to their local communities, almost like it was their duty. They also appreciated, more than anything, the burden lifted that debt brings to so many people in America. Because of this, it makes their biggest and brightest dreams seem so much more achievable. The Met Gala is Kim Kardashian’s favorite red-carpet event of the year. It is basically what she lives for and with her equally brand obsessed husband by her side, she made up one half of the most anticipated couple of fashion’s biggest night. And even though Kanye didn’t give us much to ooh & ahh over (literally, he wore a $40 black zip-up jacket) Kim’s look caught everyone — and I mean everyone’s attention. While Kanye flashed probably the most affordable look at the gala — which was themed “Camp: Notes on Fashion” inspired by a seminal 1964 essay by Susan Sontag — his reality star wife, of course, meant business. Kim donned a custom beaded latex Thierry Mugler dress that took EIGHT months to create. “This is the first time in 20 years Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Mugler,” Kim told Vogue on Monday. “So to come and design this gown for me is such an honor.” “This is about eight months in the making… he envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping,” she said. And while she definitely conquered the unique, damp look — people could not stop talking about her extremely tiny waist. After Kim strutted her humongous booty and was literally dripping in crystals on the ~pink~ carpet of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art — everyone instantly went nuts. US Magazine reports that former Bachelorette Melissa Rycroft inspired a controversy of her own by criticizing the reality star’s frame . On Monday, May 6 — hours after Kardashian’s appearance — Rycroft posted a side-by-side comparison of Kim’s 2019 and 2015 gala looks. “Not natural … and not something young ones should be looking up to,” the Bachelorette alum wrote in her caption, referring to Kardashian’s hour-glass silhouette. “Not to mention it doesn’t even look right,” she said adding the hashtag #metgalafail. ( Ouch) It’s 2019, haven’t we learned to stop judging one another’s bodies, at least publicly that is? Even if it doesn’t physically make any sense at all? Within moments, Instagram commenters slammed Rycroft over her controversial post. “Girl, I love you, but do we have to call out and shame other women on looks?” one wrote. “Can you imagine if someone did a side by side of you?” another follower asked. “Maybe young girls shouldn’t strive to look like this, but they shouldn’t strive to drag women in side by side pics on the internet either.” “They should strive to love themselves and love others,” concluded that A+ commentary. A third person weighed in writing, “Don’t do this. Women should be able to dress in whatever way makes them feel good!” “She was pregnant on the left. She works out every day and documents it.” “I don’t think it’s up to us to judge her.” Kim’s trainer Melissa Alcantara was not having any of the unnecessary body shaming and took to Instagram to defend her star client. “To make things clear 1. This dress is corseted,” she wrote in her IG Stories. “BUT 2. Kim trains her ass off 6 days a f–king week, she wakes up early AF and is dedicated.” “3. I paved the road for her but SHE did the work!” Alcantara continued: “MOST IMPORTANTLY I don’t give a s–t about your opinions on her body, if you think she is fake or not!” “I see her every morning, I see her train and I see her sweat and I see all the work she does outside the gym and THAT is commendable!” After all of the backlash and hate comments Rycroft began receiving she opened up in a video she posted to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, May 7. “I don’t like feeling like I’m in trouble.” she shared. Before talking to her fans she wrote, “Guess I’m going to have to talk about the Kardashian drama I somehow created with my post yesterday.” “I have a lot to say about this, so I’ll have to do it on this week’s podcast to get it all out…” While the Logically Irrational podcast co-host did not approve of the reality star’s ensemble, Kim got the approval from those who really matter! That’s right — her famous siblings obviously had her back and completely supported her fab look. “You are my queen,” younger sister Khloe commented on the KKW Beauty founder’s post from the event. Older Sis Kourtney added, “Sheeeeeesh.” And while Kourt and Khloe were not in attendance — Kylie, Kendall and Kris Jenner all rocked the “Super Bowl” of fashion right there along with Kim, of course, flashing their own unique and killer looks. We often like to ask the following question about the Duggar Family: Who is pregnant at the moment? But ongoing circumstances have forced us to consider amending this query a slight bit and asking the following instead… … who is NOT pregnant at the moment?!? We barely even say this in jest, considering the influx of Duggars currently in an expecting state. As previously reported, Kendra Duggar (née Caldwell), Jessa Seewald (née Duggar) and Anna Duggar (née Keller) are ALL pregnant right now, as Joy-Anna Duggar and Amy Duggar. We’re not kidding. All five of these women are knocked up. Three of them, meanwhile, came together in the same place this week, posing with matriarch Michelle Duggar for a rather unique photograph. “Mother/Daughter panel at the @familyconfs,” Michelle wrote on her family’s Instagram Story on Thursday, May 2. The 19 Kids and Counting alum could be seen on stage at this event with her three expecting daughters… as well as Lauren Duggar (née Swanson), Abbie Duggar (née Burnett) and Jana Duggar. It’s a lot to keep track of, we know, but here’s the scary thing: More Duggar pregnancies may be on the way, according to Anna Duggar ! Day told PEOPLE , “It’s a tricky balance getting the slope just right without severe angles, so the water stays in one place! Only the best fabricator can accomplish this.” She added that the unique bathroom sink is made of quartz, which she estimates would cost around $15,000 to use on the countertop, the custom slope and the 6-inch mitered edge.
