Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley’s relationship may have started with a bunch of hurdles, but Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta showed that they were in it for the long haul. Dennis had been dropping hints about a proposal to Williams for quite some time, so she kept getting her hopes up only to be let down. Porsha and Dennis went out for dinner and drinks with Shamari and Ronnie DeVoe. That’s when Dennis opened up to Ronnie about his plans. “Oh, you’re gonna propose on Friday?!” Ronnie whispered in excitement. “Damn, son! You got it all mapped out?” “I got it mapped out. She don’t know,” Dennis replied before confirming that his romantic plans involved a helicopter ride. Thankfully, Lauren, Porsha’s sister was in the know from the get-go, so she was on hand to help out in any way she could. That meant keeping up the ruse that Porsha was on her way to a charity event. “For real, I’m legit scared,” Porsha said of getting on a helicopter. “I actually texted [Dennis] the other day, and I was like, ‘I don’t think I even wanna do the thing. Just cancel it. Let’s just do something else.’ And he sounded so disappointed that we weren’t gonna go. So I was like, ‘Okay, you know what? Fine. We’ll go.'” When the day arrived, Porsha and Dennis managed to get in and out of the helicopter without any issues. That was a huge positive given how scared Porsha was. Williams was concerned because there were no other people around. “They’re probably here already,” Dennis replied. “They can only fit one couple at a time.” Porsha totally bought it. “I’m glad I got my makeup done!” Porsha said as the duo walked into the high-class building. In a truly romantic moment, Porsha realized her favorite song was playing. When the pair got to the room, there were flowers, photographers and even the singer of her favorite song. “Would you like to be Mrs. McKinley?” Dennis said as he got down on one knee. Porsha gleefully accepted. “You don’t understand how many times we have sung this song in the car to each other,” Porsha said in a confessional. “I have my parts, he has his parts, and Lil’ Mo is here singing it to us! I’ve dreamed about how he was gonna propose. I thought he was gonna propose in Miami, I thought he was gonna propose here, I thought he was gonna propose there.” “But for him to do it like this with the helicopter and Lil’ Mo and all the flowers and — can we talk about the ring? He did that! Thank you, boo!” “Just thinking about how alone I was at first, and now,” Porsha said as she fought back tears. “No one will ever understand what it means for me to have gone through a miscarriage before, all by myself, without the person who made that child with me as my support, to now be pregnant and have the man who is the father of my child be so loving, so thoughtful. We’ve known for some time now that Derick Dillard is not Jim Bob Duggar’s favorite son-in-law. In fact, it’s been said that Jim Bob flat-out doesn’t like Derick — and frankly, it’s not hard to see why. After all, other than Josh, no one in the Duggar clan has done more to compromise the family business than Derick. The clearest evidence of Derick’s ineptitude is the fact that he got fired from Counting On and convinced his wife, Jill Duggar, to quit the show as a gesture of solidarity. But leaving his family without a source of income was just the first in a long line of eff-ups for Derick. From there, Derick’s bigoted social media tirades continued unabated, as he attacked other TLC stars such as Jazz Jennings ad Nate Berkus in the sort or ignorant tirades for which he’s become famous. Jim Bob and company probably didn’t object to the belief system behind Derick’s unhinged rants, but the Duggars likely took issue with the public nature of his hate speech. After all, not unlike the evangelical church that seems to have served as his business model, JB built an empire that’s based on strict adherence to a set of mostly arbitrary rules. These days, Jim Bob’s offspring — particularly his daughters — are flouting his guidelines left and right, and the patriarch reportedly blames the men they married. Jinger Duggar began wearing pants in defiance of the family dress code after she was granted permission by her husband, Jeremy Vuolo. And now, Jill Duggar is allowing her kids to enjoy secular entertainment — a massive no-no in the Duggars’ world. And not surprisingly, it seems the Duggars believe Derick is squarely to blame. And it seems D-Dill may have just confirmed their suspicions on social media. Earlier this week, a fan asked Derick, “Why don’t you guys get a TV?” “How do you know we don’t have one?” Derick replied. If you’re a longtime Counting On fan, then you’re probably already aware that the Duggars grew up in a house without television. In recent months, Jill and Derick have taken flak for allowing their children access to such popular children’s characters as Peppa the Pig. That may seem like just about the most innocent thing imaginable, but the Duggars are of the belief that all children’s entertainment that all children’s entertainment should have to do with fire and brimstone. According to recent Instagram post, Jen Harley may have given Ronnie Ortiz-Magro a black eye . In return, according to many social media users, Ronnie has given Jen… a diamond ring? Wait, WHAT?!? Yes, the rumor of an engagement between this VERY volatile couple has been making its way around the Internet. While this may seem difficult to believe, considering the numerous instances of actual assault between stars, Harley was spotted around Beverly Hills this week with the aforementioned diamond ring on her finger. Could this really mean that Ronnie popped life’s biggest question to his occasionally violent girlfriend ? Are we really about to see another Jersey Shore wedding, following The Situation’s nuptials just last week to his long-time lover, Lauren? It would make sense only in that Ronnie and Jen are parents to a little girl named Ariana and at least getting married would (maybe) provide her with a more steady home life. Then again, it would NOT make sense because Ronnie and Jen are clearly not right for each other. They yell and scream at each other and push and shove each other and we’re pretty sure Harley just recently tried to extort Ronnie by demanding $20,000 from him, as you can see by the exchange below. These two just don’t seem to communicate very well. Nevertheless, they continue to hang out. Earlier this month, Jen and Ronnie enjoyed a date at the Sugar Factory in Miami in celebration of the former’s birthday. So… what is the conclusion here? Are they engaged? No, writes The Blast . This website investigated the troubling rumor and noticed that Harley wore the same diamond ring on her finger several weeks ago in a different photo with Ronnie. It doesn’t appear to signify any agreement to get hitched. On most epsiodes of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation Season 2, we’ve witnessed Ronnie’s friends try to talk some sense into their co-star and good friend. They’ve seen how Jen treats him and listened to all the lame excuses Ronnie has made for why he refuses to leave her. At this point, most of the Jersey Shore castmates have given up on changing Ronnie’s mind, which is why we actually wouldn’t be shocked if he and Harley do end up as husband and wife at some point. They’re simply drawn to the drama. And they probably get along well in the sack, if you know what we mean. In August, Southern Charm star J.D. Madison was accused of sexual assault . The details of the allegations are … heinous. Another man was implicated, and it is that man’s actions that are bringing this case back into the spotlight. He is now accused of having shown up at the victim’s house and threatening her. J.D. Madison is accused of having drugged a woman and of having raped her once she lost consciousness. According to FITSNews , another man implicated in the assault, chiropractor Jay Schwartz, showed up at the unnamed victim’s home. “I’ve been trying to contact you,” he reported told her while standing at her doorway. He then apparently said: “I want to talk to you about what happened that night.” Instead of leaving when he realized that he was unwelcome, he apparently told her that he “has the messages from that night.” To make matters worse, when the woman tried to close her door, Jay allegedly placed his hand between the door and frame, propping the door open. It is at this point that he allegedly repeated what he had told her. Once he had finally departed, the woman contacted police — which is absolutely the right thing to do under those circumstances. Police then went to Schwartz’s home and asked him about the encounter. He reportedly agreed with the woman’s “assessment of their conversation.” Police then returned to her home where they gave her a copy of the No Trespassing order that had been issued to Schwartz. Truth be told, an instruction to not trespass on someone’s property is a very mild response, considering the circumstances. A man implicated in the drugging and sexual assault of a woman then showing up at that woman’s home and preventing her from closing her door? That sounds like a terrifying ordeal. It also sounds like a court could interpret it as witness tampering or witness intimidation. Southern Charm fans cannot help of being reminded that J.D. Madison’s good buddy Thomas Ravenel was recently arrested . Ravenel was arrested for assault and battery, and those who have connected the dots believe that the charges stem from the allegations by Nanny Dawn. She is one of two women who have accused Ravenel of sexual assault. Others have accused him of alarming behavior, saying that he seems like a perfect gentleman … right up until he becomes someone else altogether. Thomas Ravenel will not be returning to Southern Charm for Season 6. J.D. Madison was never a star of Southern Charm in the way that Ravenel was. Instead, Madison had a recurring role — but that role was ongoing for the first five seasons of the series. Some are asking if reality television in particular has a problem — if there is something about the genre that makes bad men gravitate towards it. We understand the arguments, but we are not so sure. Maybe, as more men are coming to realize, there are just a lot of terrible, predatory men out there. Not most men, but too many. Porsha Williams admitted a few weeks ago that she’s pregnant and scared . But at least the veteran Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member will not be pregnant, scared and alone . Quite the opposite, in fact, as Williams announced something pretty exciting via Instagram on Monday morning… … she’s ENGAGED! “I said YES….,” Porsha wrote as a caption to the Instagram image above, later adding: Matter of fact I said HELL YESSSS lol !! Indeed, Williams has agreed to marry boyfriend Dennis McKinley not long after announcing to the world that the couple is expecting its first child. How did the proposal transpire? The long-time Bravo personality was very happy to provide People Magazine with the details. “Dennis rented out a venue and took Porsha via helicopter there,” her rep told the aforementioned publication , adding that there were “candles and rose petals everywhere.” Sounds so romantic! But it actually got even better and more unique from there. The singer Lil’ Mo stunned Porsha by singing her favorite song, “4 Ever.” And then Williams and McKinley threw a “prayer party” for their impending child. “After they were officially engaged, they threw a Prayer party for Baby McKinley,” said this rep, adding: She doesn’t want any focus on the ring etc. but it’s huge and gorgeous! “Dennis had videographer & photographer and has been working on the proposal for two months.” It may not be all about the ring for Porsha Williams, but here is that ring! Williams is 37 years old and could not be more excited to be a mother in a few months time. But she has confessed to having a few concerns over such a late-in-life pregnancy. “I’ve had a miscarriage before in my past, which I’ve also been open about because I suffer with fibroids and had to have a myomectomy,” she said back in mid-September. The miscarriage took place six years ago and Porsha says this development is a “dream come true,” expounding as follows to People: “The thought of me getting that blessing after praying for it for so long and getting that blessing with someone who is just as excited as me – it’s Dennis’ first child, just like me – and it’s something we’ve both always wanted.” She and her now-fiance have known each other for years, but only started dating this year. Williams was previously married to former NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart, splitting in 2013 after two years of a somewhat contentious marriage. Season 11 of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, meanwhile, is expected to premiere on Bravo late this fall.
A star of The Big Bang Theory has some very big news to share: She’s engaged! About a year after we first wondered whether Kaley Cuoco would get married to boyfriend Karl Cook, the beautiful actress has gone ahead and answered our question. Well, she answered his question, to be accurate. And that question, of course, was whether she wanted to be his bride. In an emotional video Cook actually shared to Instagram, Cuoco breaks down in tears upon hearing the words she wanted Cook to say, barely able to even utter a response. “We’re engaged!” Cuoco tells the camera at one point, to which Karl replies: “You still haven’t said yes yet.” Yes! I say yes! I say yes!” she says back. She later told Cosmopolitan that the divorced “[changed] the way I look at marriage, and that makes me sad.” Thankfully, though, she has now found a man that makes her happy. Cuoco and Cook first sparked romance rumors in March of 2016. A month later, Cuoco shared a cozy picture of her with her boyfriend on Instagram, writing: “That’s what happy looks like.” The two share a love of horses in particular and animals in general. “They seem to be in a good spot right now. Right on the heels of news that Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth married after all comes another cause for celebration in Arkansas: Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell got engaged! The 22-year-old and his 18-year-old fiancee announced their courtship just a few months ago, and just made things even more official. When he proposed … at Joy-Anna Duggar’s wedding! People magazine was the first publication to confirm that he popped the question right after his little sister, 19, walked down the aisle. The pair, who met through their church, confirmed it. “We are super excited. It’s great to not be courting anymore, now we’re engaged!” Joseph Duggar and his beaming bride-to-be shared. “I’m so happy and so shocked. There’s so many words I want to say, but just shocked,” says Kendra, while Joseph revealed: “I was definitely nervous going into it, but I wasn’t afraid that she was going to say no, because she has said, ‘I’m just waiting on you!’” Not a lot of marriage proposals get turned down in Duggar Nation, it’s true. A courtship, after all, is basically a precursor to an engagement. When news of Joseph Duggar and Kendra Caldwell courting first surfaced in March, few expected they would not get engaged soon. We just weren’t expecting quite this soon! “We are so excited to share the news with others that we are courting,” Joseph said then. “Our families are close friends through church.” “This has allowed Kendra and me to get to know each other. As for talk that Joseph got Kendra Caldwell pregnant before marriage and that’s why this is being fast-tracked even by Duggar standards? It makes for great gossip … but that’s likely all it is. The Duggars stick to their guns when it comes to their dating and courtship rules. Much as we’d all love a great rebellion story along those lines, we’ll have to be content with mini-scandals like Jinger wearing shorts . Probably for the best. Daryl Easton, a magician best known for his awe-inspiring card tricks, was found dead inside Hollywood’s famed Magic Castle on Friday, according to various news outlets. He was 61 years old. The body of the entertainer was found in a closet of the popular private club, which offers upscale a dining experience and magic shows to attendees. It has been in business since 1963. A Hollywood police spokesman told the The New York Daily News that employees discovered Easton’s corpse inside a closet, wearing only his underwear. He had a bag over his head and appeared to have hanged himself. Cops have ruled the death a suicide. The Magic Castle has acknowledged Easton’s passing and paid tribute to the late magician on Facebook. “The magic community mourns the loss of one of our most beloved and talented performers and the AMA’s deepest regrets and heart-felt sympathy go out to Daryl’s family,” reads the social media statement. Continues the Facebook message, which you can rest in its entirety below: Daryl was a World Champion, first-place FISM Gold medal winning, close-up magician with over 40 years of experience in both performing and selling the finest magic in the world. Daryl performed as a headline act at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas for seven years fine tuning his already encyclopedic knowledge of magic. Daryl has performed literally thousands of shows for audiences as diverse as the Witch Doctors on the South Pacific island of Vanuatu to the movers and shakers of the political world at the Presidential Ball in Washington, D.C. In what can now be confirmed sadly as his final Facebook post, Easton sent his wishes to those affected by the deadly storm that affected southern California last week. “Thinking of all our SoCal friends,” he wrote on February 18. “Stay safe in this storm! I’ll be heading down that way myself tomorrow for a week at The Magic Castle.” “Sending lots of love to the magic community tonight!” wrote magician Joel Ward on Twitter in response to this sad news. Added Jonathan Steigman: “In the magic world, Daryl was world famous, one of the top creators, teachers and performers. Khloe Kardashian and Tristan Thompson sure have had quite the whirlwind romance, right? But to be fair, it seems like Khloe doesn’t know how to do romance any other way. After all, she married Lamar Odom a few weeks after meeting him, remember? So the fact that Khloe and Tristan have made it six months without a wedding is actually kind of impressive. But though they’ve made it this far, that doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll take their time before getting married. Because if we’re to believe the latest round of rumors (and all the rounds of rumors that have come before), an engagement will happen any minute now. Maybe even this very weekend! See, Khloe and Tristan are on vacation right now in Jamaica. We know because Khloe shared this photo of them together: She captioned it “My love” with a heart emoji. Adorable, right? And the beach they’re on looks absolutely gorgeous — a perfect spot for a proposal, we’d imagine. It sounds like Khloe has imagined the same thing. According to sources who spoke with Radar, she’s been “begging” Tristan to propose . “Khloe already has the exact ring picked out,” an insider said, “as well as the jeweler, and Tristan knows this.” But while Khloe seems so happy and so ready to take her relationship to the next level, her friends and family are reportedly not so psyched about it. They’re concerned because a couple of months ago another woman gave birth to Tristan’s child , and, you know, that’s a lot to take in. Another issue is that “Khloe is in Cleveland 90 percent of the time with him and she has completely ditched everyone.” The source says that Khloe is “so desperate to get re-married and start a family. It seems like that is all that she wants!” And, well, yeah. Khloe has made it clear for a long time now that she’s wanted to have a family. She wants to have a baby so much that we’ve heard she plans on getting pregnant this year, “with or without a man.” It’s looking more and more like she’s going to have a partner in this though, huh? If Khloe really is sure about Tristan, if she feels good about getting this serious this fast, then sure, a beautiful beach proposal this weekend would be great for her.
