Who Was Sent Home on American Idol?

Following performances by Adam Lambert and Diddy Dirty Money, the first American Idol finalist received the news he/she was fearful to hear tonight: it was time to go home. Who would the unlucky contestant be? Ashthon Jones, who sung Diana Ross one more time for the judges in an attempt to stave off elimination. Alas, it wasn’t meant to be, as Jennifer Lopez broke the news to the hopeful: “Not this time, baby, I’m sorry. And it was unanimous.” Jones proceeded to break down in tears and was comforted by her fellow finalists as the credits rolled. Did Ashthon Jones deserve to be eliminated this week?

Or Diddy Dirty Money? — has taken to the social networking site to voice his displeasure with the fact that NBC hasn’t asked him to appear in a sketch during the Robert De Niro-hosted Saturday Night Live this weekend. Get ready for a torrent of capital letters, friends!

American Idol Didi Benami Friend Who Died Will be Proud

American Idol contender Didi Benami dedicated her last song to her friend who died in 2005. Didi’s friend, Rebecca Joy Lier died on Dec. 14, 2005. Didi Benami sang the song by Fleetwood Mac. She was on American Idol Season 9 and had her audition with celebrity judge Avril Lavene. The American Idol TV series now moves on with 9 more contestants. For this episode, Diddy, Diddy Dirty Nine, Usher and Ruben Studdard performed for the sold out crowd. Diddy Dirty Money and Didi Go Home on American Idol

Diddy’s group, the Diddy Dirty Money entertains the millions of viewers and the crowds at American Idol but the real story is about how the 10 finalists to American Idol are now reduced to 9. They sang the song “Helo Good Morning.” Didi Benami, who sang What Becomes of the Broken Hearted went home with a broken heart. She was always the weaker member of the crew and many expected her to go home. Though she did have a strong following of loyalists, it was her time. Simon Cowell gave Didi Benami the news. It’s quite a coincidence that the day Diddy and his new group the Diddy Dirty Money comes onto the American Idol stage, that it would also be Didi that would go home. Maybe Didi can join Diddy’s group and they can call it the Diddy Didi Dirty Money or Didi Diddy Dirty Money. I apologize for that lame joke and will keep my day job.
