Earlier this week, Bobbi Kristina Brown passed away , six months after she was found unconscious in the bathtub of her Atlanta-area home. Bobbi Kristina’s funeral has been scheduled for Monday, but it seems that even though she’s finally at rest, the controversy surrounding the troubled 22-year-old is far from over. Earlier today, we reported that Nick Gordon is begging Bobby Brown to allow him to attend the funeral . Now, it seems other people in Bobbi Kristina’s life are threatening to skip the ceremony due to bizarre arrangements being made by Whitney Houston’s sister-in-law, Pat Houston. Radar Online is reporting that Pat is planning a “sweet 16-themed” funeral , and several friends and family members have already expressed their disapproval of the idea. Sources say famed singer and family friend Dionne Warwick has been the most vocal critic, even going so far as to tell Pat that she refuses to attend a funeral with such a macabre theme. “Dionne is planning a trip and threatening to not attend the funeral,” says one insider. “Pat Houston is taking over even though she should be making decisions with Bobby, and not doing it on her own.” Warwick has reportedly slammed the idea as “stupid and disrespectful to Bobbi Kristina,” but sources say Pat is insisting on the theme due to a conversation she once had with Krissi, in which the deceased daughter of Whitney expressed her regret over never having a traditional sweet 16 party. The New Hope Baptist Church Helps Bobbi Kristina’s Grandmother Deal With Her Tragic Loss As Cissy Houston continues to keep a bedside vigil for her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown, her church members told Bossip that she’s sought solace in the Lord’s house. Cissy Houston, 81, is a longtime, faithful member of the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ. Houston is often seen during services sitting in the church’s downstairs lounge, listening to New Hope’s head, the Rev. Joe A. Carter. She takes in services in private downstairs in order to not make a commotion. The Baptist house of worship is where her daughter, Whitney Houston , grew up, and where she was laid to rest almost three years ago. “She’s always here,” one New Hope member told Bossip. “Nine times out of ten, she’s here.” So dedicated is Cissy to New Hope Baptist, that she sang a solo for the funeral of the church’s oldest trustee the same week that she flew to Atlanta to be by Bobbi Kristina’s side. The church member told Bossip that Cissy’s devotion to the church is helping her deal with her daughter’s death and her granddaughter’s fragile state. “I guess that kind of helped relieve her,” the source, a longtime member, told Bossip. This Wednesday marks three years since Whitney Houston’s death. The Rev. Joe A Carter didn’t mention Cissy or Bobbi Kristina during Sunday’s sermon, or the one the week before, but parishioners acknowledged Cissy’s pride of place in the congregation. The close-knit churchgoers are fiercely protective of their most famous member. One member threatened a reporter Sunday who was asking questions about Cissy. The Rev. Carter did not return Bossip’s repeated requests for comment. Bobbi Kristina remains in a coma after a friend found her face down in her bathtub. Bizarrely, her mother died after being found in a bathtub in 2012. Meanwhile, Houston family cousin Dionne Warwick is continuing to recover from a nasty fall in the shower of her South Orange, NJ home. Warwick slipped Jan. 24, and underwent ankle surgery, recovering in the hospital for nearly two weeks. A source close to the singer told Bossip that she’s now at another medical facility, and Bobbi Kristina’s tub incident is still too raw for her to talk about. “It’s very, very personal,” the source quoted the singer as saying.

Houston Family Upset Over Clive Davis Planning Whitney Houston Biopic There has been talk of a Whitney Houston biopic being in works that date back to just a few weeks after Whitney passed, but now her former mentor Clive Davis is allegedly moving the project forward and not everybody in the Houston family is on board with his decision-making thus far. via National Inquirer BOBBI KRISTINA’s surprise wedding isn’t the only thing tearing Whitney Houston’s troubled family apart – they’re also bickering over a new movie about the tragic songbird’s life. The late diva’s daughter Bobbi Kristina, 20, supports a warts-and-all biopic being developed by Whitney’s mentor, music mogul Clive Davis, sources say. But Whitney’s mother Cissy Houston and her cousin Dionne Warwick strongly oppose the project unless they’re given full creative control, the sources add. “Clive is not giving in to their demands,” said an insider. “He’s told Whitney’s family that this movie is a labor of love for him, and he’s calling all the shots.” Davis wants multitalented Tyler Perry, the writer/producer and star of the “Madea” movies, to direct the film, with “Anchorman 2” actress Meagan Good playing Whitney, according to the source. But Warwick apparently has other ideas, insisting that Davis consider Whitney’s “Sparkle” co-star Jordin Sparks as well as pop star Rihanna. “But Clive has blown Cissy and Dionne off,” the insider added. “He feels that Meagan will bring dignity and gravitas to the role.” Meanwhile, Bobbi Kristina has grown close to Perry and is said to be siding with Davis. No surprise that this is becoming a control battle since Clive controlled much of Whitney’s career while her family controlled much of her personal life, so only time will tell who gets to be in the driver seat for her biopic.
