Noah Cyrus is making like older sister Miley Cyrus . No, the 13-year old isn’t Twerking with any giant stuffed animals. But the young star has gotten herself a unique haircut and been forced to defend it against critics around the Internet. First, the half-shaven hair look: Now, the hate… With numerous followers giving Noah a hard time over the ‘do, Cyrus took to Instagram and defended herself with a long message. “Everyone please stop hating on me,” she wrote. “I’m my own person I can do whatever I want. Please stop being so mean. “Do you think I enjoy reading comments tell[ing] me I’m ugly and I’m trying to be someone I’m not when I’m only being myself. I can’t believe the words people are saying to me right now. Please I beg of you just stop.” Miley, of course, also received series criticism when she cut and dyed her hair in August 2012. Ever wonder what the electro-hits of Daft Punk would sound like in a cappella form? Arlington, Tex., based quintet Pentatonix has answered that time-honored question. The group, who achieved quasi-fame on the reality show The Sing-Off , is known for its a cappella covers of music you would never expect to hear that way. It’s their thing. But this effort raises the bar for sure, especially with the added factor of the crazy outfits and blue contacts they’re wearing whilst performing. You’ve never seen a “Stronger” performance by an a cappella group than this one, so “Get Lucky” and check it out “One More Time” (sorry) below! Daft Punk – Pentatonix
We’ve seen Electro photos before but now, in a big way, Jaime Foxx has been officially introduced as Electro in the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man 2. For their Comic-Con preview edition, Entertainment Weekly went competely in your face with Electro and Spider-Man himself squaring off. So now that we’ve seen Foxx’s Electro and the new Spidey suit, when do we get an official picture of Paul Giamatti as Rhino ? Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens on April 17, 2014.
In March, I wrote about how Robert Downey Jr. is about as close to indispensable as you can get to Marvel Studios ‘ lucrative superhero movie franchise — and now here’s proof from the man himself. In a very entertaining profile of the Iron Man 3 star in the May issue of GQ , Downey confirms to writer Chris Heath that his payday on The Avengers was in the $50-million ballpark. The exchange between the actor and the writer is a thing of beauty: $50-Million Iron Man “Whatever contract Downey signed when he agreed to appear in multiple movies as Iron Man allowed him a share of The Avengers’ payday far bigger than anyone could have anticipated. The Hollywood Reporter recently suggested that the true figure was around $50 million . It’s not the kind of thing most actors are prepared to talk about, but I ask Downey anyway. “Yeah,” he says, smiling. Is that number about right? “Yeah.” A broader smile. That’s amazing. “Isn’t that crazy?” he says. “They’re so pissed. I can’t believe it. I’m what’s known as ‘a strategic cost.’ ” Strategic cost! I bet that term was invented by the Nathan Thurm -like lawyer or public-relations consultant who came up with the term “collateral damage.” In other words, Downey is so valuable to Marvel that it’s better to swallow hard and open up the Disney coffers rather than attempt to hardball him into accepting to a less-than-mindblowing figure. In other words, Disney is not going to risk losing him. One of the Best Why does that make me smile? It’s partly because Downey is one of the great Hollywood comeback stories of all time, and I want to see that narrative arc continue trending upward. But I wouldn’t care so much about his personal story if he weren’t so damn compelling on screen. He knows it, too. Downey says he’ll be ” shocked ” (italics, courtesy of GQ ) if he doesn’t win at least one Oscar during his career and comparing himself to the current generation actors, he tells the magazine: “I’m probably one of the best. …But it’s not that big a deal. It’s not like this is the greatest swath or generation of actors that has ever come down the pike.” I don’t find that cocky. I find it authentic and true. Besides, as Downey also points out: “Nothing pleases me more than when somebody who was awe-inspired to be working with me realizes I’m just another schmuck that they’re bored of hanging out with on a set. I love that moment. I like it when that persistent illusion is smashed.” Okay, well, he’s probably being modest there. More on Robert Downey Jr.: Which ‘Avengers’ Cast Members Are Most Expendable? If that LED hoodie that you see in the above photo is part of Jamie Foxx’s Electro costume for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 , then doesn’t he remind you of another shocking villain: Star Wars uber-baddie Darth Sidious ? Part of the resemblance has to do with the hunched way in which Foxx is carrying himself and holding his hands in the photo, but look at the comparison below: Freaky, no? According to an interview Foxx gave to BlackFilm in December and other photos I’ve seen of him on the set, he’ll look nothing like the Sith lord when he emerges from that item of clothing. Fox appears to have subtle lightning-bolt-like veins on his neck and face. (Sidious looks like a more humanoid version of Yoda.) And he’s said that he’ll have “bolts and stuff in my arms when they are hanging me upside down and trying to figure out what [happened].” Not sure if Foxx means lightning bolts or actual Frankenstein-like bolts , but, if his upside-down scenes are anything like the ones he had in Django Unchained , I guess we’ll also find out if those bolts are everywhere on his body, if you know what I mean. Now, I’d love to see a shot of Paul Giamatti as the Rhino — as long as he doesn’t look like Dexter Jettster . Shocking Similarity: [ Blackfilm ] Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Last we heard from Santigold, the electro artist was channeling M.I.A. and throwing shade at Lady Gaga and Katy Perry in her crudely-animated “Big Mouth” video. Today comes the much more harmonious (both musically and thematically) “Disparate Youth”, the lead single from her sophomore album Master of My Make-Believe. The single will hit iTunes on … More » Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Idolator Discovery Date : 20/02/2012 15:49 Number of articles : 3
