We can debate all day whether or not MTV glorifies teen pregnancy , but one of its more infamous reality stars certainly doesn’t make her life look appealing. Teen Mom star Amber Portwood is once again in the spotlight, and it’s not because her baby daughter’s so darn cute. It’s because of – you guessed it – RAGE. We reported recently about Amber’s ex, Gary Shirley , creepin’ on random girls. Turns out he’s started dating one of them, and the situation came to a head. Amber Portwood, Gary Shirley and Leah in less turbulent times . “Gary and his new girl were hanging out on Friday night and Amber was late night texting him like she always does,” a source close to the situation said. “His date thought it was inappropriate, the things Amber said, so she called and told her to quit trying to get him to hang out because he’s moved on.” Portwood has also moved on with Clinton Yunker , but friends close to the reality TV star say she still holds out hope of getting back with Gary Shirley. “Amber was jealous that Gary’s been with other girls since they broke up,” the source said . “Gary’s new girlfriend is way prettier than Amber and it drives her crazy. She even asked her what someone as pretty as her would want with Gary.” Portwood was so upset that she went over to Shirley’s house and demanded that he delete his new girlfriend’s phone number from his cell phone. “Gary really likes this new girl, but he was mad at her for telling Amber they were dating and stirring the pot … he knows the way Amber can be.” “The whole thing was really weird because then all of a sudden Amber Portwood flipped the switch and started trying to befriend Gary’s new girl.” Portwood was charged with domestic abuse following the airing of an episode of Teen Mom where she hit Shirley and the Indiana Department of Child Protective Services temporarily removed their daughter Leah from her home. Leah is now back home with Amber , but remains under DCS supervision. “Amber insisted on doing a three-way call with Gary and his new girl but got angry when she heard the way he was talking to the new girl because she said it was ‘how he used to talk to me,'” the insider said … and so the saga goes.

Elizabeth Edwards’ cancer fight has taken a turn for the worse. With the disease spreading to her liver, the wife of John Edwards revealed that she is resting at home and no longer seeking treatment for the disease. “Elizabeth has been advised by her doctors that further treatment of her cancer would be unproductive,” the Edwards family says in a statement. On Monday, the ailing Edwards posted a Facebook message to her friends that can be tragically interpreted as a farewell of sorts. She writes: “I have been sustained by three saving graces – my family, my friends, and a faith in the power of resilience and hope. These graces have carried me through difficult times and have brought more joy to the good times than I ever could have imagined.” “The days of our lives, for all of us, are numbered. We know that.” “It isn’t possible to put into words the love and gratitude I feel to everyone who has and continues to support and inspire me every day,” Elizabeth Edwards continued. “To you I simply say: you know. With love, Elizabeth.” Edwards, who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2004, was briefly hospitalized last week after not feeling well over Thanksgiving. Doctors said her cancer had metastasized to the liver. Family members – including adult daughter Cate, a Washington lawyer, and her brother and sister, Jay and Nancy Anania – rushed home to be with her. Elizabeth and John Edwards, the two-time White House hopeful who has been estranged from her following the infamous birth of his love child with Rielle Hunter , also have two younger children together, Jack and Emma. Having been through some of the worst possible events in her marriage, Elizabeth Edwards feels a connection to a fellow scorned wife, Sandra Bullock. “I’m not just a cuckolded wife,” John Edwards’ ex tells Matt Lauer. “I think about Sandra Bullock – who I don’t know – what an incredible year she had.” “She won an Academy Award for an incredible performance, and more than that, took that story and integrated it into her own life in a healthy happy way.” The Blind Side star secretly adopted baby son Louis back in January, before learning that Jesse James cheated on her and filing to divorce her husband. Which is part of Elizabeth’s problem – you hear more about the latter. “And yet, the stories you hear are not about all those great successes, but about the failure of her marriage,” Edwards continues. “That’s not who she is… I assume she wants to reclaim who she is in the same way I want to reclaim who I am.” BLIND SIDED : Elizabeth feels a connection with Sandra . Elizabeth and John Edwards legally separated in January after he basically savaged their lives ; the former North Carolina senator had recently admitted that he’d fathered a baby girl, Quinn, with weird videographer mistress Rielle Hunter. Having seen Rielle Hunter sit-down for an interview on Oprah , Elizabeth tells Lauer: “I still think this person is so completely unlike me that it’s hard to imagine the same person could marry me and be attracted to that woman, as well.” Of John, whom she will likely divorce next year, she says, “I think I did marry a marvelous man… he changed over time. He’s no longer the person who I married. I still admire an enormous number of things about him.” “John’s conduct through this whole thing was terrible and it makes people want him to pay for it,” Elizabeth says . “On a personal level, he’s paid a lot.” Fighting metastatic, stage-four breast cancer, with tumors spreading to her legs, spine and skull, she says she can’t think about her younger kids (Emma, 12, and Jack, 10) growing up without a mom. “I don’t let my head go that place,” she says. Sandra Bullock’s husband, Jesse James, has issued a vague public apology to his wife and children, following a woman’s claims that he had an affair with her. Michelle “Bombshell” McGee accuses James of hitting that repeatedly. In his “apology,” James never directly admits to having an affair, match, but says, “There is only one person to blame for this whole situation, and that is me.” Yeah. No $h!t. Who does this guy think he is, Tiger Woods?! Did Jesse James cheat on Sandra Bullock with Michelle McGee, a supposed tattoo model and mother of two? He hasn’t admitted it in so many words, but it looks like it. The Monster Garage star claims says a “vast majority” of the allegations made against him are “untrue and unfounded,” but goes on to say that, “It’s because of my poor judgment that I deserve everything bad that is coming my way.” Seriously dude. Stop channeling Tiger. While dodging cheating allegations , Jesse concludes, “This has caused my wife and kids pain and embarrassment beyond comprehension and I am extremely saddened to have brought this on them. She developed terminal cancer. Her husband used that to garner sympathy while running for U.S. president, all while cheating on her with Rielle Hunter. He then knocked Rielle up, lied about it many times, and may have even used political campaign funds to perpetuate a cover-up. Yet she stood by him. His former aide came across a John Edwards sex tape . Rielle posed like a total hoe in GQ magazine and basically said that the affair was all his wife’s fault. How long until Elizabeth Edwards takes this b!tch out?! The Rielle Hunter GQ pictures had to be the last straw. She ripped Elizabeth and says she and John Edwards were in love. Will this private hell even end? People magazine asks how much more Elizabeth can take, but read between the lines. What they’re really asking is: What’s she going to do about it? We think that the best defense is a good offense. We’re not suggesting Elizabeth actually kill Rielle Hunter , or insinuating it’s even crossed her mind, but come on. She’s got to get revenge somehow, some way. What better way to finish this soap opera, right? She can divorce John and take all his money, but that skank Rielle? She deserves something far, far worse. Okay, maybe not actual, physical violence. But at least having the fancy house she lives in (and John Edwards paid for) toilet papered to high heaven.
