Carmen Electra’s Awesome Cleavage Show

I guess it only makes sense that Carmen Electra busted out some more of her ageless hotness at the Expendables 3 premiere, considering it’s a movie about a bunch of old action stars showing they’ve still got it. Because nobody’s still got it as much as Carmen here, and with all the big names they added for the sequel, I’m a little surprised Carmen wasn’t one of them. Because I’m pretty sure that those perfect funbags of hers were just as famous as either Stallone or Wesley Snipes in the late ’90s. And they probably saw more action too. » view all 27 photos Photos: WENN.com

Mel Gibson to Star as Villain in The Expendables 3

Mel Gibson is set to make an explosive movie comeback. The mostly hated upon actor will star in The Expendables 3 as that action film’s main villain, writer/producer Sylvester Stallone confirmed today. The announcement comes on the heels of a few other headlines related to the surefire blockbuster: Bruce Willis reportedly balked at a mere $3 million for a few days of work. He insisted on $4 million… and was axed from the franchise. But Harrison Ford is now on board! Antonio Banderas will also appear in The Expendables 3 , with Stallone referring to his former Assassins co-star as “a consummate actor and a gentleman” in a statement. We’ll take that as a veiled shot at Willis.

Harrison Ford: Expendables 3 and Indiana Jones 5? All In a Day’s Work!

Harrison Ford may not be fulfilling our dreams of taking over the  Star Wars VII movie single handily but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been making waves here lately. Earlier in the day, Ford made the entertainment headlines by saying he’d be on board for an  Indiana Jones 5 despite being 71 years old. “To me, what was interesting about the character was that he prevailed, that he had courage, that he had wit, that he had intelligence, that he was frightened, and that he still managed to survive. That I can do.” You know what Mr. Ford? I believe you. I’ll go right along with the idea of another  Indiana Jones movie. If it can be worked out that Schwarzenegger is Conan once again, surely we can bring back the fedora. However, the second news story of the day is a little less exciting. Maybe it’s because I’m a female. Maybe it’s because it isn’t something legendary like  Indiana Jones . Or maybe it’s simply because I’m burnt out over the “a new sequel each year” model Hollywood seems to be following of late. But this news that Harrison Ford has signed on for  The Expendables 3 does absolutely nothing for me but cause eye rolling.  Sylvester Stallone tweeted earlier (Stallone tweets?) that “WILLIS OUT… HARRISON FORD IN!!!! GREAT NEWS !!!!! Been waiting for this!!!!” Am I wrong or did Sylvester Stallone just go fangirl on us? Either way, it appears as if Bruce Willis is leaving the movie and Harrison Ford is stepping in his place.  Perhaps Willis saw the writing on the wall and it looked very similar to that of  Red 2 and he’s the smarter man here? We’ll have to see. The Expendables 3 has a planned release on April 15 of next year.

Sylvester Stallone Escapes Copyright Lawsuit, Probably With The Help Of A Rag-Tag Team of Lawyer Mercenaries

In case you were wondering, action movie cliches are probably public domain. We now know this because a lawsuit alleging that Sylvester Stallone plagiarized a script called The Cordoba Caper for The Expendables has been rejected by federal judge Jed Rakoff, essentially on those grounds. Corporate speechwriter Marcus Webb, writer of The Cordoba Caper , alleged that Stallone’s action hero supergroup film borrowed heavily from his own script, a claim Stallone denies. Stallone admits he based his draft on a different script entitled Barrow by David Callahan, but that he has never seen Webb’s. (Callahan is credited as co-writer on the final Expendables script.) The similarities between Webb’s and Stallone’s scripts are striking at first glance. The Cordoba Caper involves the adventures of highly trained soldiers of fortune, employed by a wealthy benefactor to take out a ruthless despot engaged in genocidal programs related activities. This obviously bears a striking resemblance to the plot of The Expendables , right down to the ‘rescuing a young woman’ subplot. The only problem? It also sounds a lot like about 500 other action films. The judge agreed, finding in his ruling that the plot points used in both films were “simple stock devices that are standard in action movies.” Even The Expendables ‘ most solid similarity to The Cordoba Caper – the villain in both stories is named ‘General Garza’ – was dismissed as such. “As defendants point out,” Rakoff said, “Garza is a common Hispanic surname.” Webb’s script was never picked up for development. He submitted it to several amateur screenwriting contests, none of which he won, prompting Judge Rakoff to note that, “It would require almost endless speculation” to conjure up the means by which Stallone would have laid eyes on it. The bad news? People apparently believe that The Expendables has something resembling a ]script.’ The good news? That screenplay you’ve been tooling with, about the rag-tag team of warriors brought together to right wrongs while delivering tired awesome one liners and dispensing endless rivers of bullet casings can probably go forward. At least you know Stallone won’t sue. [ Source: Variety ]

Expendables 3 Producer Wants Cage, Eastwood, Ford, And Snipes, ‘When He Comes Back From Prison’

Producer Avi Lerner dropped a handful of big names when asked which action heavyweights are being courted for the inevitable Expendables 3 ; I’m willing to bet at least one of them (*cough* Snipes *cough*) takes him up on the offer. “We’ve approached Clint Eastwood to be one of the guys, we’ve got a character in mind for him,” Lerner told Total Film. “We’re talking to Harrison Ford . [And we want] Wesley Snipes when he comes back from prison. I’ll give you one more name, we’ve got Nicolas Cage to play [one of the characters]… And we’re going to bring Mickey Rourke back, if he won’t be too crazy.” Which begs the question: When has Mickey Rourke not been “too crazy?” Is he still Mickey Rourke if he isn’t acting just a little insane?
