Jobs: New Poster Has a Rather Colorful Ashton Kutcher

Steve Jobs himself was a colorful character so it seems only right that in this new Jobs poster, Ashton Kutcher gets the full spectrum treatment. After seeing the  Jobs trailer , there was no doubt that not only does Ashton Kutcher look a lot like Steve Jobs, but also Josh Gad bears a striking resemblance to Steve Wozniak. The new images from the film released today just drive that point home. Check out plenty more Jobs images after the jump!   It’d be easy to think you throw some 70’s era clothes on a couple guys and they could maybe pass for Jobs and Wozniak but I think we can all agree, casting made a great call with these two actors. Not too long to wait for this biopic as  Jobs opens on August 16th.  Looking for more movie pics? Check out new  R.I.P.D.  images now!

Captain America’s Opening Weekend Wasn’t Bigger Than Thor

Not unexpected , but slightly disappointing nonetheless: according to final box office numbers released on Monday, Captain America: First Avenger did not have the biggest opening weekend of any superhero film released in 2011. That title still belongs to Thor — the Norse god earned almost $700,000 more than Captain America did during his initial frame. On the bright side, here’s guessing plucky underdog Steve Rogers wouldn’t have it any other way. [ LAT /Company Town ]

Friday Box Office: Good Night

Score one for the traditionalists! Maybe. If Date Night (a better than expected $9.5 million on Friday) can hold off Clash of the Titans ($7.8 million) for the remainder of the weekend it will become only the fourth non-3D film released this year to lead the box office. And they said two dimensions were dead. Elsewhere: don’t look now, but the assumed disappointment that was How to Train Your Dragon experienced a scant 19% drop from Friday-to-Friday and has slowly become one of the biggest hits in 2010. Dreamworks Animation CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg is writing that “Suck it, Pixar!” e-mail right about now. The top-five after the jump.
