Popular ESPN reporter Erin Andrews is leaving the network, effective today. ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys confirmed that Andrews, who has been with the worldwide leader in sports since 2004, is a goner. Her contract expires today and the network was unable to reach an agreement on an extension with her. She will reportedly anchor Fox Sports’ college football coverage this fall. Fox declined immediate comment Friday night, but the network is making a major push into college football and Erin would represent a major “get.” This will be Fox’s first regular season of college football coverage. ESPN, in a statement wishing her the best in the future, said that Andrews “did great work for us and we made an aggressive offer to keep her.” In other news, Michael David Barrett, the perv who filmed Erin Andrews nude in her hotel room three years ago, is scheduled for release Tuesday.
