“The Get Down” Gets Cancelled After One Season Bad news for fans of “The Get Down.” The Baz Luhrmann produced musical drama, starring Jaden Smith, apparently was a high cost for Netflix, racking in at about $120 million just for the first season alone. According to Deadspin , the show’s cost led to multiple production delays, which resulted in season one being split into two 6-episode bundles. Producer Baz, who’s most famous for directing films like “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet,” “Moulin Rouge,” and “The Great Gatsby,” said in a Facebook post following that a big part of the cancellation comes from his inability to commit to dedicating his full time to a second season, because he has other movie projects that need his attention. “This exclusivity has understandably become a sticking point for Netflix and Sony, who have been tremendous partners and supporters of the show. It kills me that I can’t split myself into two and make myself available to both productions… But the simple truth is, I make movies.” It’s very rare that a Netflix series doesn’t return for a second season. Mo’Nique Responds To Adrienne Bailon’s Keep-It-Real Criticism Mo’Nique has A LOT to say on her nearly decade-old beef with Lee Daniels, Tyler Perry, and Oprah Winfrey over the hard left her movie career took after “Precious.” While discussing the drama, the ladies of ‘The Real’ questioned if Mo’Nique’s potty-mouthed tirades were really the best course of action — either for closure, healing, or moving forward in her own career. Authorities were once again called to Justin Bieber’s mansion in Calabasas last night. A few weeks after neighbors phoned the cops three times due to excessive noise from a party at the singer’s home, sources confirm to TMZ that a member of Bieber’s security team called 911 around 3 a.m. because an unidentified female had passed out. Paramedics were dispatched to the premises, but called off 15 minutes later after being told someone was taking the 20-year old woman to the hospital. The woman, reportedly, ended up regaining consciousness and going home instead of to the hospital. We know Bieber was home at the time of the 911 call and we know another rager was taking place inside. Alcohol was involved. As for strippers and naked beer pong ? It’s unclear at this time. But Justin may wanna tone it down a bit in the future. At this rate, something terrible will soon take place at one of his shindigs.

She said is herself. “Have you thought about adding more to the group?” David Letterman asked the star this week. “Oh, sure,” Roberts replied, flashing her megawatt smile. “Any chance?” Letterman prodded. “No,” she respoded flatly. The acclaimed actress said she will be spending Christmas at home with the kids and her husband Danny Moder, “counting fingers toes and blessings.” Right now, however, the kids are focusing on school. “God, I hate homework. I hated it when I had to do it and now I hate it when they have to do it,” she said. “When they come home from school, I want them back.” Roberts insisted to Letterman that her children are unaware that their mother is one of the most famous women in the world, which we actually believe. In fact, a lot of people didn’t know she had kids. “They know I’m their mother and they know that I work in show business, as does their father,” she said of Danny Moder, who works as a cameraman. That’s about it, though. And more power to her for living out of the spotlight and letting them lead a normal life, despite her worldwide fame and fortune.
