ALAIN JOCARD/AFP/Getty Images Six Flags Is Replacing All Of Its Flags With American Flags From now on, only one flag will fly over the Six Flags Over Texas amusement park: An American flag. Park officials have confirmed that the six different flags that had previously flown over the park, including the Confederate States of America flag, will be replaced by six American flags. Curious, have they always used this version of the Confederate flag? pic.twitter.com/BoTifbSshA — Will Cain (@willcain) June 24, 2015 A Six Flags spokeswoman told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “We always choose to focus on celebrating the things that unite us versus those that divide us. As such, we have changed the flag displays in our parks to feature American flags.” The decision was made after the park received criticism for reportedly saying that it had no plans to remove the Confederate flag in light of the recent events in Charlottesville, VA. They will all only fly American flags from now on.
The Six Flags Over Georgia is deep under muddy water with the continued rain-fall flooding huge parts of Georgia. Helicopters photo have finally surface, showing the peaks of the huge roller-coasters rising up above the water.
