With all of that success, it’s hard to imagine that the Young Money MC once felt completely down on life. In the November issue of Cosmopolitan, the Harajuku Barbie opens up about a range of topics, including a particularly dark period when the MC actually considered taking her own life. “I kept having doors slammed on my face,” Minaj recalled of her pre-fame struggles. “I felt like nothing was working. I had moved out on my own, and here I was thinking I’d have to go home. It was one dead end after another. At one point, I was, like, ‘What would happen if I just didn’t wake up?’ That’s how I felt. Like maybe I should just take my life?” Having gotten past those low points, the MC tells the magazine that she has firm plans for a bright future. “I will have put out five albums and will have an Oscar and Grammys,” she predicted. “And I will be getting married and, a couple of years after that will have a bun in the oven. … My whole life is about being Nicki Minaj now. It’s a never-ending saga.” Fresh off the release of her collabo with Willow Smith, Minaj had some words of wisdom to share about the differences between her and another star: Lady Gaga. The Queens native said that while both embrace over-the-top fashion, for the MC, it’s not a 24/7 routine. “I think Gaga is freakin’ dope for that,” she said. “But I can’t be bothered. Nicki Minaj. She’s got a big ol’ badonkadonk butt. But did you know Harajuku Barbie also has a big ol’ front? Tit’s true! And oh, did she prove it this morning on Good Morning America , when her left breast popped out during a live performance. The epic nip slip lasted for about 15 seconds- long enough for the nip to fall out, the guys in the control room to notice and cut the feed, and STILL have that puppy flying free when they came back to the show. The breast part? This is the first nudity, accidental or not, that we’ve seen from the always sexy but usually skingy Nicki. ABC, no doubt terrified of all the FCC fines and angry letters from uptight killjoys that are coming their way, has already issued a statement of apology: “Although we had a five-second delay in place for the Nicki Minaj concert on GMA, the live East Coast feed of the concert regrettably included certain fleeting images of the performer that were taken out of later feeds of the broadcast in other time zones. We are sorry that this occurred,” ABC said in its statement. Don’t apologize, ABC- this is one of the best mornings Skin Central has had for a while! Nicki Minaj Mourns Cousin Nicholas Telemaque’s Death

By Rob Markman Nicki Minaj Photo: Bryan Bedder/ Getty Images What was supposed to be a day of celebration for Team Nicki was hit with tragedy after Nicki Minaj’s cousin Nicholas Telemaque was murdered near his home in Brooklyn, New York, on Monday. “Lived in Brooklyn his whole life. My precious cousin. My baby. Killed last nite,” Nicki tweeted , along with a photo of Telemaque. The Harajuku Barbie also wrote , “My cousin Nicholas. Also goes by Juse, or @brolicalcoholic. Murdered. Last nite. Near his home. Brooklyn, NY,” and attached another pic. Yesterday Minaj spent Independence Day performing in Winnipeg, Canada, as part of Britney Spears’ Femme Fatale tour and also celebrated the birthday of her rumored boyfriend, hypeman Safaree “SB” Samuels, to whom she tweeted a b-day message: “HappyBirthdaySB!!!!!!!! @scaffbeezy hope u like ya gift coon!!!!” Since tweeting about her cousin’s death, Minaj hasn’t sent any subsequent messages out through the social networking site as of this writing. On Monday, July 4, at approximately 2:40 a.m. ET, police responded to a call in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, where they found Telemaque, 27, with multiple gunshot wounds to the upper torso region. He was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival. The New York Daily News reported that Telemaque had just left C-PAC nightclub, just blocks from his home, when he was shot. Blink-182 Auction Off Rare Collectibles For Japan

The reunited pop punk trio’s Mark Hoppus has set up an eBay auction site on which he’s offering up a number of rare items in an effort to raise funds for the survivors of the massive 8.9-magnitude quake that hit the country on Thursday. Singer Hoppus has donated a raft of items, from the original handwritten lyrics sheet for the group’s early hit, “Rock Show,” which is already drawing bids in excess of $17,000, to used backstage passes, the band’s dressing-room sign from the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards and the orange sweater Hoppus wore in the “Dammit” video. At press time all items had gotten significant bids, including a “What’s My Age Again” promo CD ($2,025), the VMA sign ($3,050), the orange sweater ($2,226.99), a hand-painted Blink bunny figurine ($1,000) and the backstage pass ($905). Hoppus announced his intention to raise the funds on Friday, just hours after the quake struck, tweeting , “So sad for what’s happening in Japan. Gonna dig in the bins & find some old blink-182 items to auction for the Red Cross.” He then chronicled each item as it went up and solicited fans for requests on what things they’d be interested in bidding on. Hoppus joined a growing group of artists offering their assistance in raising funds for the Japanese people , including Lady Gaga , Linkin Park’s Mike Shinoda and actor Charlie Sheen. Considering she quickly ascended to rap royalty after Weezy signed her to his Young Money roster, she owes the New Orleans rapper a debt of gratitude. Hip-hop’s Harajuku Barbie recently told MTV News that she has already recorded a verse for her mentor’s new album, Tha Carter IV, due later this year. “I recorded something for Carter IV, and I recorded something with the Birdman recently,” Nicki told MTV News. The Birdman she’s referring to is Bryan “Baby” Williams, Cash Money Records co-founder and CEO, and a recording artist in his own right. Baby’s new album, Bigger Than Life, is due this year as well. Minaj spoke confidently about Wayne’s next album, which has so far spawned a single and video in “6 Foot 7 Foot,” featuring Cory Gunz. “I think Carter IV is gonna just be exceptional, of course,” Nicki said. “I think Wayne is definitely on his grind crazy right now. But yep, my Carter IV verse has been handed in officially.” Over the weekend, “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez revealed that Wayne is featured on her next single “I’m Into You,” from her forthcoming Love? album. And on Monday (March 14), Wayne popped up on a rough version of Kanye West’s “All of the Lights (Remix)” that hit the Internet. As for Nicki and Weezy’s new song, fans may get a live preview soon. Minaj will be heading out on the road with Wayne, as well as Rick Ross, Mixmaster Mike and Travis Barker, for the I Am Music II Tour , which kicks off Friday in Buffalo, New York. During that month, the Young Money darling will drop her debut album Pink Friday and celebrate Lil Wayne’s release from jail. In an interview with Funkmaster Flex , the Harajuku Barbie spoke about her latest visit with Weezy, the backlash to Will.I.Am’s VMA outfit and a recent attempt to scam her fans. “I went to see [Lil Wayne], like, five days ago,” she told the DJ. “I was on Rikers. First of all, his birthday is coming up in a few days. He was just very focused, but he was laughing the same way. He was just making me laugh.” Minaj admitted that she forgot to thank her mentor when she revealed her album title during a live chat with fans . “He said that people were writing him in jail saying, ‘We love Thank Me Later and we can’t wait for Pink Friday .’ So he said he was looking at the letters and was like, ‘What the hell is Pink Friday ?’ ” the rapper explained. “I didn’t even tell him that [was] my album name and stuff, and he found out in jail by fans writing him letters. So he was like, ‘OK, Nick, that’s the name of your album,’ and we were just having a great conversation.” Nicki then talked about the blowback her VMA performance partner, Will.I.Am, received for his all-black outfit, which included dark makeup . “You’re talking to me. And I live for doing stuff that is super crazy and outside the box, so I loved it,” she said. “People are always going to have an opinion. It’s like ‘Yo, let him do his thing.’ I think that Will.I.Am lived on a different planet. You can’t expect him to make common folk happy. Common folk ain’t never happy with anything. … They going to pick everything apart.” The Peas frontman wasn’t the only guy she spoke about. When asked if she thought teen heartthrob Justin Bieber had a crush on her, she joked, “I think so. I think he had a little jungle fever. You know what I mean? I had to let the young boy know.” The two shared a cheek kiss during the 2010 VMAs. Before Minaj left, she took some time to address a recent controversy surrounding an upcoming concert at Montclair State University in New Jersey. She is being billed as the event’s headliner, even though she isn’t performing. “I didn’t have anything to do with it,” she said. “People are going around pretending that they are able to book me. They’re acting like they can sign paperwork and get me to do clubs, but in fact, I’ve never met these people a day in my life. I don’t know who these people are.” Nicki explained that she woke up one day and found fans tweeting about it. “I thought that it was a joke and then I clicked on it and it was dead serious, so I had to shut that down.” For now, the singer has recruited a legal team to look into the matter and said that she’ll post her actual tour dates on her Twitter or official website . “I’m so tired of people getting scammed,” she said.
