Earlier this week, millions of 19 Kids and Counting fans were shocked to learn that Josh Duggar was named in a sexual abuse case that had been successfully hidden from the public for over a decade. Details emerged rapidly, and we soon learned that Duggar was accused of molesting five girls , including his own sisters, and that his parents were aware of the alleged activity. Sources say Jim Bob Duggar “did what he thought was right” after learning of his son’s abusive actions and had a then-15-year-old Josh admitted to a facility to receive psychological treatment. Radar Online is now reporting that Josh spent four months at the Basic Life Principles Training Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. The facility was founded by Bill Gothard , the Duggar family’s former minister, who was forced to resign in disgrace after several female employees accused him of sexual misconduct. Many former employees and “patients” have spoken out against Gothard’s various facilities, and a recent report by the Indiana Civil Liberties Union described the Indianapolis center as “an appalling shadow world where these kids almost disappear.” “I really don’t remember the circumstances on why Josh came to our center,” says former director Harold Walker said, “He came down…they used to work at the center, the entire family did.” It’s likely that very few employees knew the exact reasons for Josh’s stint at the Little Rock center. While several Duggars have utilized Gothard’s treatment facilities in the past, there’s no record of any of them staying overnight, much less for four months like Josh did.
