Duggar Family: Raking in Money with Instagram Ads!

The Duggar family is rich. Jim Bob made his fortune through real estate investments, and after all of their reality television ups and downs, he's worth over $3 million. But 19 Kids and Counting isn't on television anymore, and Counting On doesn't rake in the same kind of money. But this family of over 30 members has found another revenue stream. Fans believe that the Duggars are engaging in Instagram ads, like so many other reality stars. Curiously, they don't seem to tag what appear to be product endorsements — usually of food — as #ads, but these posts are not subtle. At all. Perhaps the Duggars are violating FTC regulations because they believe that they're above secular laws. It's possible that they're just getting free products, but the volume of the posts seems to indicate to some fans that the Duggars must be getting paid for these promotions. Take a look: 1. First of all, the Duggars LOVE Chick-fil-A They’re not even remotely subtle about it. This strikes many fans as a clear sign that they’re getting more than just free food out of this deal. 2. There’s a difference betwen Instagramming your meal … … And product placement. This, folks, looks like a straight-up endorsement to many Duggar fans. 3. Even Josh Duggar’s gotten in on the action Which, you know, kind of reads like a Jared from Subway situation. But since these are unofficial ads, Chick-fil-A has avoided the backlash. 4. But the Duggars love more than just one restaurant that fits their brand Jill Duggar tagged this whole milk brand in her captions, and alert fans note that it all really looks like a paid endorsement. 5. Derick helps out with these alleged promotions, too You know, Derick claimed that they don’t get paid for their roles on Counting On, so plugging a restaurant is certainly one way to make money. When fans get wise to your dubious requests for “mission funds,” that is. 6. Not the worst thing that we’ve seen in an IHOP parking lot… Not only did they photograph themselves standing in front of the restaurant, they heaped praises on how affordable it was for their family to eat there. Counting On Recap: Joseph Duggar Courts Kendra Caldwell!

On the season premiere of Counting On, the Duggar family caught us up on all the latest wedding, baby and courtship news in Tontitown. If you follow them at all, then you know that the last few months have been extraordinarily busy in those regards, even by their standards. Watch Counting On Season 5 Episode 1 Online Fittingly just days after Joseph Duggar married Kendra Caldwell in Arkansas, the season premiere gave us all the back story on the couple. Minus the part where Joe bumped out Jedidiah and stole his girl . You heard that one here and only here. But back to the TLC series … On Counting On Season 5 Episode 1 , we went all the way back to where Joseph was born … where he asked Kendra to enter into a courtship. The idea being that she would start a new life with him, at the place where his life began. Gotta hand it to the Duggars on these proposals. Court-posals? Is that a thing we can make happen? In any case, Jessa Duggar called Joseph’s idea “sweet” and “thoughtful,” though his older brother John-David was less than impressed. “I wouldn’t call it romantic,” JD said, noting that the home where he was born is … no longer there. “Take her to a car auction, then a slab of concrete.” “That’s … that’s different.” He did indeed take her to a car auction as an excuse to be on that side of town; Kendra’s dad and some of his family served as chaperones. “I wanted to do it sooner to surprise her,” Joe said of asking Kendra if he can court her, adding that she was expecting it to take longer. Why? It’s unclear, given the breakneck pace in which the family moves when it comes to relationships, but apparently this was a surprise. Joseph was “trying to act cool” and “be as normal as possible” before ultimately taking her to where the home once stood and … He pulled out a ring, asked if she would take this next step with him in life, and Kendra said yes, which he said was a major relief. “I didn’t know you were going to ask me today!” Caldwell said, blown away by the gesture and the timing. “I had no idea … It’s so exciting!” As for what you’re all wondering: Joseph’s sisters all received necklaces as a courting gift, which is customary apparently, but his gift of a ring was his own unique twist. As a symbol he’s not looking for anyone else and is “waiting for her” (for a matter of weeks, most likely), he placed it on her ring finger. On the right hand, not the left. If you watch Counting On online , you know that with this exciting milestone reached, the couple may now side-hug, as per Duggar tradition. That may not sound like much, but until that courtship – which is essentially a pre-engagement, ring or not – there is no touching. Period. As for their courtship rules? Every couple has their own version of the same playbook when it comes to this issue (though all of them are similarly stringent). Joe and Kendra’s twist? Agreeing not to hold hands with one another or be alone together until they’re married … and that’s not all: Side-hugs are only allowed to last three seconds or less. Honestly. A five-second side hug would be borderline dangerous, you know. When asked if they would have a long or short courtship, the side-hugging duo said they’re taking things “one day at a time.” In other words, super short. On Counting On Season 3 Episode 11 , Jinger Duggar’s wedding finally arrived, but where there any uninvited guests, or other surprises? What did we learn from this special, behind-the-scenes TV event? Watch Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 3 Episode 11 Online If you watch Jill & Jessa Counting On online , you will see that as Jeremy and his friends got ready for the ceremony, something was amiss. Or missing, to be more accurate. Some were lacking items from their suits, making you wonder if they don’t get dressed for a wedding every day or something. Geez! In any event, by the time the group photos were taken, everyone was dressed, and handsome, and love was in the air on this afternoon. The former soccer star called it “a dream come true” that his father, who called it “one of the greatest joys,” was officiating the wedding. As Jeremy and Jinger got ready, they passed notes back and forth via the younger kids. No texting. Old fashioned hand-written notes. Of course, Jim Bob is probably on the duo’s group texts anyway, so in a way going retro and cutting him out is also very futuristic. Ironic. Anyway, Michelle predicted that Jim Bob, for all his flaws and often-deserved criticism, was a softie who would cry at Jinger’s wedding . She was correct. Within seconds of seeing Jinger, Jim Bob teared up. “You’re so beautiful,” he said to his daughter, who proceeded to walk down the aisle. In a quiet moment, they prayed, and Jinger gave her dad – the central figure in her life until now – a handkerchief with a message on it. “You are the first man that I ever loved. Know that when you give me away today, I will always be your little girl,” it read, very sweetly. Jeremy was already crying himself. During the ceremony, they lit the unity candle, then ended things with passionate kiss. Per Duggar courtship rules, it was their first ever. “I was just blown away by how beautiful and gorgeous and majestic she was … is!” Jeremy said, while his new wife gushed over him: “I was just so overwhelmed with joy and gratefulness, and I just could not wait to be his wife. The 19-year-old revealed that she is indeed in a relationship with Austin Forsyth. “I’m Joy Duggar, and this is my friend Austin,” she reported from a scenic mountain vista, introducing her new boyfriend to the masses. “And I just asked Joy to enter a courtship with me,” Austin added. “And I said yes!” Joy responded, and it seems like a good fit. The two have already “known each other for about 15 years,” and he chose this location specifically to begin a courtship with her there. Counting On Season 3 Episode 6 Recap: Welcome … to the Main Event!

Tuesday on Counting On Season 3 Episode 6 , Ben Seewald joined forces with NFL stars to give back to the Northwest Arkansas community. Also, Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo planned a trip to New York City. Come along as THG recaps all of these key events and more. Watch Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 3 Episode 6 Online “Sports can be a great avenue to invest in kid’s lives,” Ben told producers in the not-so-articulate fashion fans have come to know and love. Ben is usually a source of boundless optimism for wife Jessa and the other people in his life, but last night’s episode featured a rare moment of self-doubt for the 21-year-old. “If the camp doesn’t go well, I’m going to feel pretty bad,” Ben said at one point. Fortunately, with the help of former Steelers and Colts linebacker Steve Conley, the camp went off without a hitch. Crisis of self-confidence averted! Elsewhere in the episode, Jinger Duggar prepared for a trip to the East Coast with fiance Jeremy Vuolo. Of course, this was before Jinger and Jeremy got engaged . So yes, Jinger traveled with a whole crew of chaperones (Michelle, Jessa, Ben, and even Baby Spurgeon). The Duggar devoted may have already known this as the trip that prompted Jinger’s hair crisis . Jinger Duggar: Curling Iron Crisis! More importantly, however, it’s also the trip on which Jeremy popped the question. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to see that moment in last night’s installment. But that doesn’t mean the episode ended on a cliffhanger. If you watch Jill & Jessa Counting On online , you are keenly aware that Jeremy has already made his intentions very clear to Jim Bob Duggar and the rest of Jinger’s family. Just to drive the point home, he made certain to point out that he was packing the ring that he and JB had picked out for the occasion. “I’ve got a small surprise for Jinger you could say,” Jeremy told the cameras with a smirk. Ben told the cameras, “Jinger has no idea what’s coming for her!” We think she might have an inkling Ben. Y’all haven’t exactly been subtle in keeping in plotting this little surprise. In other contrived plot lines, Jana Duggar set out to redecorate the guesthouse in preparation for Jill and Derick returning from abroad. Hey, other people have to do something while the Jinger and Jeremy show marches on, right? It’s reaching the point that Jinger’s siblings might be more eager for her to just go ahead and get married than she is. On second thought, no one is more eager for Jinger’s wedding than Jinger is. Tuesday night on Jill & Jessa: Counting On Season 2 Episode 4, there was secret baby shower in the works courtesy of Joy-Anna Duggar. There was also a treehouse involved, and more insight into the family’s dating – sorry, courting – process, which is always … something. Watch Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 2 Episode 4 Online Picking up where last week left off, Jill & Jessa Counting On Season 2 Episode 4 offered us more behind-the-scenes looks at Duggar life. Specifically, Joy-Anna Duggar and family friend Sierra were hard at work preparing a baby shower for another friend, Kristen Young. Kristen and her husband, Justin, run Tacos 4 Life – a favorite local hangout of Ben Seewald and Jessa Duggar, among other Duggars. Meanwhile, some other family members were in treehouse building mode, and in the case of John-David, waxing poetic about his future. “I’m in a position where I am somewhat financially independent,” Jana Duggar’s twin brother, a pilot and firefighter, beamed. “I’m making an income. I’ve got a place to live.” “Hopefully,” added the 26-year-old, “one day I’ll get married, have some kids of my own and build my own tree fort maybe.” John-David didn’t specify when, or with whom, of course, and the topic of Joy-Anna Duggar courting also came up on this episode. Josiah Duggar, whose own failed courtship with Marjorie Jackson made headlines, and Joseph Duggar weighed in on that subject. For anyone to get near Joy-Anna, “he’d almost have to be the perfect guy, and he would go through a lot of testing,” Joseph said. Joy-Anna Duggar Talks Courtship in Counting On Preview “I think if guys come around, they’re going to have to get through a few guys,” Josiah added, equally protective of his sister. “I say if a guy shows up to court Joy, there will definitely be a lot of us standing back a little bit kind of checking him out.” Joy-Anna’s sister Jinger Duggar chimed in, “I think there are some men that have maybe expressed some interest in her. “She has a great personality,” added Jinger, who’s also single herself, “and so now we’re just trying to see where life leads.” In any case, when asked if she could see herself entering a courtship, Joy-Anna (above) simply smiled and said … not a lot. Back to Operation Treehouse, Jessa, Joy, Sierra and Anna Duggar went shopping for kitchen equipment, but that mission fell apart. Soon, it became a personal shopping trip for Jessa, Sierra and Anna at the thrift store, where Jessa mused on the Duggar dress code: “Duggar modesty standard is being covered from the neck to the knees, so most dresses are going to need some sleeves added,” she said. “Or maybe a little length, too, if they’re too short.” She’s not kidding. There’s your refresher if you needed it. Finally, it was time for the baby shower for Kristen, and Sierra headed out to pick up the unsuspecting, expectant friend of the family. One wonders if Kristen was really in the dark. If you watch Jill and Jessa: Counting On online , you’ll see that they were hardly secretive. It’s a small town where people know everything, and details of the treehouse plot leaked months ago. Would a baby shower be secret? Not important, of course. It’s all about getting together and celebrating family, friends and the miracle of life. And Joy being in charge. “I don’t think Sierra has ever left me in charge of a party by myself, so this is going to be fun. I want to do it right for her,” Joy stated. And, obviously, “I want to do something that is good for Kristen, too.” So what happened when Kristen took off the mandatory blindfold? She was definitely surprised, or faked it really well! She totes burst into tears upon seeing all the family and friends awaiting her arrival. Many games, cream-cheese-Oreo-powdered-sugar balls and prayer circles later, the Duggars closed out the event as a great success. Good times as always in Tontitown. Jill & Jessa "Counting On" Ratings: Duggars DOMINATE For TLC!

The Duggar family is controversial to put it mildly, but the return of Jill & Jessa: Counting On proved that they are still a draw for TLC. A big draw. Tuesday’s premiere drew 1.9 million viewers, with even more tuning in to watch Jill and Jessa: Counting On online throughout the week. That’s an impressive total for any series airing on a cable network, but for the Duggars, who were off the small screen for nearly a year? It marked a hugely successful comeback, all things considered. When 19 Kids and Counting , the precursor to Counting On , aired its final episodes in 2015, they were pulling in around 2 million viewers. Despite Josh Duggar’s sex scandals sidelining the family for most of the next 12 months, Jill, Jessa and their siblings are proving resilient. For his part, Josh is still persona non grata on Counting On . His long-suffering wife, Anna Duggar, did all of the talking, going into great detail about the extreme pain he caused by cheating on her. We learned that Anna visited him in rehab and that this gave her hope, which she relayed to her family, though trust issues still remain. Indeed, the new series seems to be focusing on the family healing and moving on … with Josh and parents Jim Bob and Michelle MIA. View Slideshow: 19 Things We Hope to See on Jill & Jessa: Counting On Like any other TV show, Counting On is counting on sponsors, many of whom found the Duggars radioactive last spring and summer. It seems many advertisers have come back around, however, but it’s no accident that Josh (and his parents) did not appear on screen. TMZ even reported that the Duggar family is not allowed to let Josh film with them and that doing so would be a breach of contract. Dillon King says no one trusts him . Apparently TLC concurs. Time will tell if he makes a return at some point, possibly as part of his long road to redemption. But don’t mark your calendars for it. Instead, expect topics such as whether Jana Duggar is courting (ditto Jinger or John-David) to become plot points on the new season. There are so many options for a family that has its faults, to be sure, but retains a strong following because they are real and relatable. Even with a growing chorus of critics hammering them for every move, the next generation of Duggars is back and better than ever. By and large, we would say this is very positive to see. You can love the Duggars or hate them, but at least Jana, Jinger, and their J-named siblings aren’t paying a price for things they didn’t do. Khloe Kardashian Confronted James Harden About Cheating Accusations, Source Claims

The rumored relationship between Khloe Kardashian and James Harden is only a few weeks old, but it’s already a source of endless gossip and drama. Last week, we reported that Harden was caught cheating when an Australian model claimed she slept with the Houston Rockets star after he spent a week in Hawaii hooking up with Khloe. Now, Radar Online is reporting that Khloe confronted James about the accusations – and things didn’t go exactly as she’d planned: “After the woman went public claiming she hooked up with James after he started dating Khloe, there was a confrontation,” says one insider. “James denied hooking up with the woman, but Khloe just doesn’t believe him.” The source claims that Khloe had expected James to come clean, but he gave evasive answers to all of her questions. She now reportedly feels that she’s “doomed” to stay single. The insider says Khloe is concerned about how much younger Harden is (he’s 25; she’s 31), but she’s been attempteing to force the relationship against her better instincts, as she feels that it’s a bad time for her to be alone: “Khloe had really wanted to be in a new solid, healthy relationship by the time her divorce was made final,” the source claims. “She just feels very unlucky in love.” Frankly, we think she just needs to relax. Anyone who’s seen Khloe’s cover for the new issue of Complex knows that it won’t be hard for her to find a new dude.
