Elizabeth Olsen Signs On to Play an Adulteress in Racy New Role [PIC]

Soon people will have to start calling Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen ” Elizabeth Olsen ‘s older sisters.” 2011 has been a breakout year for the willowy young actress- she’s already getting awards buzz for her performance in the psychological drama Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011), and now she’s signed on to appear in another type of awards bait- the costume drama. Elizabeth is set to star as the tit-ular character in Therese Raquin , about a young girl forced into a loveless marriage by her overbearing aunt (played by Glenn Close ), the result of which is a bosom-heaving, bodice-ripping knockout of an extramarital affair.The film is being described as a “dark, erotic thriller” (our favorite kind!) and will shoot in the spring. Therese Raquin has been adapted for the screen once before, in a 1980 BBC miniseries that featured Kate Nelligan nude, so here’s hoping that Elizabeth follows in Kate’s footsteps and rips off that bodice post haste.
