Kelly Rowland looks amazing as always on the cover of Runway Magazine fall 2011 issue. The current baddest chick in the game opens up about going through an identity crisis as a child. Kelly shares her story about going to a predominantly white school and having issues with her complexion. “There’s so much peer pressure growing up, I had an identity crisis. I went to a predominantly white school and I was the only black girl. I can remember thinking: ‘I don’t want to be as dark as I am – I want to be a little fairer.’ I didn’t want to be me…Tina sat me in front of the mirror and said: ‘Girl, look at how pretty you are.’ She made me feel comfortable in my own skin.” Check out the behind the scenes footage from her cover shoot below. Mos Def has announced that he will be retiring his name in 2011 and changing it to Yasiin. M os says he will not be offended if you walk up to him and call him by his original rap name because it is the name he has built for years. At least he didn’t change it to “Swag” like Diddy! It should be noted that Mos Def is a Muslim so the name change may have had something to do with his religion.
