Ronnie Chasen Murder Case Officially Closed

Hollywood publicist Ronnie Chasen, who was killed in December, was murdered by a lone gunman, acting alone, during an attempted robbery. That was the assessment of police in the immediate aftermath of the tragedy, and the determination of officials who closed the case this week. After sifting through over 150,000 pieces of evidence, police this week officially shut down their investigation , reports the Beverly Hills Courier. Chasen, 64, was shot multiple times while driving her Mercedes early November 16 after leaving an afterparty for the premiere of Burlesque . The gunman, Harold Martin Smith, later killed himself December 1 as officers were attempting to take him in for questioning in the case. Afterwards, unsubstantiated rumors emerged that she’d been the target of a professional hit, but it was determined to be a failed robbery. The gun used to commit Chasen’s murder – she was shot four times – had been stolen from a police officer during a previous burglary.

Chris Brown Performs Live on Today Show

Fresh off battling another scandalous report (a bogus one, it should be pointed out), Chris Brown took the stage this morning and did what he does best. Performing live on Today, CB delivered renditions of “Yeah 3x” and “She Ain’t You,” along with his smash hit “Forever,” in front of a New York audience. The title of Brown’s new album F.A.M.E. stands for forgiving all my enemies and/or fans are my everything – two mantras he should always stick by. Letting go of the past and the haters is key. So is living life in a positive way that – coupled with performances like this – will make his fans proud: Chris Brown – She Ain’t You (Live on Today) Chris Brown – Forever (Live on Today) Chris Brown – Yeah 3X (Live on Today)
