In case you missed it, the Brooklyn native met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell  and said we are beyond kneeling and it’s time for “actionable items.” It is also being reported that the rapper will be part owner of an NFL team. And now he’s going to be a part owner … It’s kind of despicable.” Eric Reid on news Jay-Z will be a part-owner. “Kind of despicable.” pic.twitter.com/6zDMdJIzwV — Joe Person (@josephperson) August 17, 2019 Jay has also been slammed by Jemele Hill, Dr.  cornell w. brooks , the former president of the  NAACP , and many more. According to Bleacher Report via NYTimes , Jay-Z will be forming a partnership with the NFL to create a social justice initiative and bring a much need boost the sleepy Super Bowl halftime show. Here’s what NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had to say about the new allegiance: “We don’t want people to come in and necessarily agree with us; we want people to come in and tell us what we can do better,” Goodell said. “I think that’s a core element of our relationship between the two organizations, and with Jay and I personally.” The Roc Nation jefe grande also spoke on his new business venture: “The NFL has a great big platform, and it has to be all-inclusive,” Jay-Z said, per Belson and Sisario. “They were willing to do some things, to make some changes, that we can do some good.” What do you think of Jay’s involvement with the league? He Gone: Kareem Hunt Released By Kansas City Chiefs After Video Of Him Violently Attacking Teen Girl Surfaces

Source: Diamond Images / Getty Kareem Hunt Released By Chiefs After Video Attacking Girl Surfaces Yesterday we reported on the security camera footage that captured Kansas City Chiefs star running back Kareem Hunt attacking and kicking a 19-year-old Cleveland girl to the ground inside his hotel. In response, the NFL put Hunt on the Commissioner’s exempt list which forbade Hunt from any team activities including practice, workouts, and games. But that wasn’t enough. A much stronger message than “sit on timeout in the corner and think about what you’ve done” needed to be sent. Whether it be a result of a moral conscious attack or the unwillingness to endure the white-hot public backlash that would surely ensue, we’ll never know, but in either case, the Chiefs decided to release Hunt from his NFL contract according to ESPN. He is no longer an NFL player. “Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt,” the Chiefs said in a statement. “At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately.” Last year Kareem Hunt lead the NFL in rushing and this season was among the league’s most explosive players across the board. Kareem is also an abuser of women as the video footage shows and for that he doesn’t deserve the privilege of playing in the NFL. The question is, do the other 31 teams in the league believe that…?

Kareem Hunt, NFL Star, Brutalizes Woman in Surveillance Video

Kareem Hunt, one of the top running backs in the National Football League, has been caught in the act. And the act is really quite awful. TMZ has obtained footage of Hunt violently beating a woman inside of a Cleveland hotel this past February. The surveillance footage is from February 10 at 3:22 a.m., to be exact, and it clearly depicts Hunt arguing with an unidentified 19-year old female. We see the Kansas City Chiefs All-Pro confronting his victim and then shoving her very hard, prior to the woman striking Hunt in the face. At this point, truly loses it: he pushes one of his friends into the woman and then kicks her while she's crouching on the floor. Law enforcement was called to the scene, but no arrests were made. Hunt, who led the entire league in rushing last year, was not suspended by the NFL nor disciplined in any significant way by the Chiefs. In August, team CEO Clark Hunt publicly stated in August he doubted Hunt would be suspended, meaning he was well aware of at least some kind of incident. We do not know if he saw this video or if anyone in the league office has seen the video. The situation is reminiscent of what transpired with Ray Rice. Also a talented running back in 2014, Rice was suspended for two games for punching his girlfriend. But then this CRAZY footage of Rice knocking her unconscious went public and the league increased its penalty, causing many to wonder why the NFL needed videographic evidence when Rice had already admitted to punching his loved one.  Commissioner Roger Goodell has become infamous for failing to appropriately deal with players who beat women. At the time of this Hill incident, the woman told police the entire thing started because Hunt kicked her out of his room after she refused to hook up with one of the men in his entourage. Sounds very classy of him. In December of 2014, meanwhile, Hunt's wide receiver teammate Tyreek Hill – then a star on Oklahoma State University’s football and track teams – was arrested and charged with domestic assault and battery by strangulation. According to reports, he allegedly punched and choked his girlfriend… who was pregnant at the time. Watch the video now to be very disgusted by Kareem Hunt.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver Says Players Must Stand For The National Anthem

See the article here:

Source: Ronald Martinez / Getty According to a memo obtained by the Associated Press, NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced that players and coaches will be expected to stand for the national anthem before games. The memo, distributed by Deputy Commissioner Mark Tatum, suggested all NBA teams “demonstrate your commitment to the NBA’s core values of equality, diversity, inclusion and serve as a unifying force in the community.” Instead of kneeling, Silver suggests, a proper way for teams to demonstrate would be featuring a pre-game video of players or community leaders speaking about important issues and snapshots of community events. “Many of our players have spoken out already about their plan to stand for the anthem,” Silver said in a statement. “And I think they understand how divisive an issue it is in our society right now.” Silver did not give any details on what would happen if a player were to kneel for the National Anthem, saying “If that were to happen, we’ll deal with it when it happens.” SOURCE: ESPN | IMAGE CREDIT: Getty
