Katy Perry Talks ‘Gorgeous’ Video For ‘Teenage Dream’

‘I got to cast all my friends,’ writes singer, who shot the sexy clip in her California hometown. By Jocelyn Vena Josh Kloss and Katy Perry on the set of her “Teenage Dream” music video Photo: Eric Ford/Danny Mayer/ On Location News Katy Perry has made it known that she wants to be “one of those … teenage wet dreams,” and her “California Gurls” video has certainly set the bar high for the singer, who is set to release her new album, Teenage Dream, next month. So for “Teenage Dream,” the album’s second single, Perry headed to the beach. In photos taken from the video shoot for the title track, Perry is seen canoodling with a hot guy in a hotel pool in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California. The guy is rumored to be actor Josh Kloss. In another still, leaked online , a bikini-clad Perry is kneeling in the sand, looking up at a scantily clad man, presumably Kloss. Perry tweeted about the clip as well, writing , “Cut, copy, print, moving on! That’s a wrap for Teenage Dream! So gorgeous, I really can’t wait to see what [director] Yoann Lemoine makes of it all!!! In my hometown. I got to cast all my friends in the new music vid for Teenage Dream = amazing insanity.” Previewed at a listening party last month, the radio-friendly title track picks up right where “California Gurls” leaves off. With a strong beat to back her up, Perry sings about a boy who makes her feel like a teenager again. “I wrote that song in Santa Barbara and it was a very pure moment for me, because that’s where I’m from,” she told MTV News in early June. “And it was, like, where I started my creative juices. And also it kind of exudes this euphoric feeling because everybody remembers what their teenage dreams were — all the girls that were on your poster walls.” Are you excited to see the new video from Katy Perry? Adam Lambert’s ‘If I Had You’ Video Frolics In Politics

New video aims to celebrate how dancing and partying bring everyone together. By James Montgomery Adam Lambert on the set of his “If I Had You” video Photo: Eric Ford/On Location News A few months ago — back when he was still the reigning “American Idol” runner-up — Adam Lambert told MTV News about the meaning of his latest single, “If I Had You,” the video for which has just premiered on VH1.com . “Basically, what it’s saying is no matter what color your skin is, no matter what religion you are, no matter what your sexuality is … we can all party together,” he said. “And all this other stuff — money, success, fortune, fashion, glam — it’s all great, but it doesn’t mean anything if you’re not connecting.” Clearly, Lambert was thinking big with the song, which meant that it needed an equally epic video. Early sneak peeks had him rocking spiked shoulder pads and gallivanting through a forest, and Lambert himself promised that things would get “kind of psychedelic.” And on Monday (June 14), we finally got to see the finished project, an over-the-top affair that’s, yes, kind of psychedelic and even a tad bit political. Though mostly, it’s just a pretty awesome Euro-pop video. The clip opens with Lambert — in a leather duster coat and gloriously braided pseudo-rattail — storming his way down a forest path. Whether he and director Bryan Barber intended it to or not, the scene recalls Men Without Hats’ classic video for “The Safety Dance” (all that’s missing is the lute-playing little person). From there, Lambert discoverers a clearing in the forest, one packed with party people — of all races, colors, creeds and proclivities, naturally — who are all in the midst of a totally excellent celebration. (Most of said party people are actually Lambert’s friends, from his days performing with L.A.’s “Zodiac Show.”) Overtaken, Lambert has no choice but to join in on the fun, and from there, things get psychedelic, all brightly blurring colors and whooshing chemtrails and, uh, Allison Iraheta. And the message is pretty clear (if not a tad bit idealistic): Humanity can, in fact, put their differences aside and just dance. Perhaps that’s the way to solve all of our global conflicts. Who’s to say Lambert’s not right? Like all great pop stars, he’s not afraid to dream. Share your reviews and interpretations of Adam Lambert’s “If I Had You” video in the comments. Ke$ha Dances With Snakes For ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ Video

‘This is the video where I really got to play with animals and a hot bearded guy in the desert,’ the singer says. By Jocelyn Vena Ke$ha on the set of her “Your Love Is My Drug” video Photo: Eric Ford/ On Location News Recently, photos of Ke$ha prancing around the desert for her “Your Love Is My Drug” video hit the Web and fans immediately began to wonder what the singer had planned for the clip. MTV News got a few details from the singer herself about the sexy video. “In my video for ‘Your Love Is My Drug,’ it has a lot of animals in it, so that’s exciting ’cause I’m a huge animal lover and I get to actually, like, hang out and ride and perform with animals,” she said about the clip, shot in Lancaster, California, last week. “For more details, check out my video,” she added. However, we were able to get a few more details out of the singer. “I am wearing an animal mask,” Ke$ha continued. “I’ll give away one of them. I do get to perform glowing in the dark, in a cave, with a python wrapped around my body. So if that’s not sexy, I don’t know what is.” She says the video will also help to clear up any theories as to why she named her debut Animal. “I love animals — that’s why my record’s called Animal. People have their theories about why I called my record Animal — it’s really just because I’m obsessed with animals and I feel like I am an animal and I want to bring that out in people,” she said. “So this is the video where I really got to play with animals and a hot bearded guy in the desert. It’s so good! Just watch it!” Are you excited to see Ke$ha’s new video? Let us know in the comments below! Ke$ha Hits The Desert For ‘Your Love Is My Drug’ Video

‘Tik Tok’ singer filmed third video from Animal LP. By Jocelyn Vena Ke$ha on the set of her “Your Love Is My Drug” video Photo: Eric Ford/ On Location News Ke$ha is gearing up to tour with Rihanna this summer , but not before taking time out to shoot the third video from her Animal album, “Your Love Is My Drug.” The clip was filmed on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week and features Ke$ha hanging out in the California desert. The video reportedly “follows Ke$ha on a fun journey through an animated world” and was shot in Lancaster, California. In it, Ke$ha is seen dancing and performing near sand dunes while wearing a khaki-colored bathing suit; she’s also seen wrapped in what appears to be a fishing net. While she was all on her lonesome during the sunset scenes, once the sun went down, she filmed a kissing scene with an unidentified guy next to a campfire. Later on, Ke$ha performed — under black lights while wearing body paint — near some giant rock boulders. The video follows up Ke$ha’s other clips for her hits “Tik Tok” and “Blah Blah Blah.” Ke$ha actually worked with her mom, Pebe Sebert, on several Animal tracks, including “Your Love Is My Drug.” She’s previously described the track as one that a track that delves into the sordid details of her love life. “I wrote a few songs with my mom, who’s a sick writer, and taught me everything I know about songwriting,” she said. “My mom and I are best friends, so it really comes naturally. She taught me how to write my first song. I can also be really honest with her. We’re like best friends and there are no really forbidden topics.” Are you looking forward to Ke$ha’s new video?
