The number of permits issued for adult films fell 90% last year to just 40 permits compared with 2012, when the law was introduced, the Los Angeles Times reported on Wednesday. “We’ve seen a dramatic drop in permits,” Paul Audley, president of FilmLA, told the paper. “It is a cause for concern that people who are manning the cameras, lights and other things on those sets are not working anymore.” Voters in LA County backed the ban after the Aids Healthcare Foundation, an advocacy group, argued that unsafe sex on sets spread HIV and other diseases. The industry protested in vain that it conducted regular health screenings and that audiences and performers tended to prefer porn without condoms. The state senate is due to vote this month on whether to widen the ban to all of California. Several porn producers said they had moved production to other parts of southern California, as well as Nevada, Florida and eastern Europe, where there is less regulation. The exodus follows the migration of mainstream Hollywood feature films and TV dramas to states and countries with lower costs and generous tax breaks. The “runaway production”, as it has been dubbed, has left LA’s once formidable army of grips, electricians, camera operators, set decorators and caterers struggling for work. “It’s not helpful to have another segment of the industry leave the region,” said Audley. The adult entertainment industry’s advocacy group, the Free Speech Coalition, has attributed occasional HIV infections among performers to off-set behaviour. It said condoms were unnecessary – because of regular health screenings – and unpopular. With bright lights and prolonged periods of penetration condoms aggravate friction, causing discomfort and making it more difficult to maintain erections, Diane Duke, the group’s CEO, told the Guardian last year. “And yes, consumers seem to prefer non-condom movies.” Damn…is seeing your favorite flick-stars be safe really that unappealing? Either way…how do you plan to get through this freaky-flick shortage?

Righto Loaded magazine has got there piece titled “10 Hottest New Loaded Girls” up nd going. Now I am not to take that magazines thunder so I will list the girls but will not place them all up. You can jump over to Loaded to see the pics. No wait I will as this is my blog and I choose to express my opinions. The girls are – Hannah Martin – a girl that I have done a million posts about in the last couple of years. She is still hot. Em Diamond – never heard of her before, but is really, really stunning. Might be one of the finds of the 2010. Stacey Massey – Page 3 girl and all good. Kelly Hall – Page 3 ideol winner 2009. Gets better with each shoot. Am more of a fan then I think I am. Emma Glover – great model that was under used in 2009. Given the shot this should be a good year for Emma. Jessica Weekly – no longer the “little secret” for FRONT magazine fans. She may set a future standard in “alt-model” circles in making it more mainstream. Sahar – once agian another model that could make the alternative mainstream! Chloe Saxon – another Page 3 model that has kind of floated around for a bit in the background. Emily O’Hara – did a post on this girl a few months back. One of the best models to be ignored in 2009, hopefully this year is goes alot better. Darcy Palmer – another great model that reminds me of Sam Cooke & Danni Wells. Now that is a nice run down for these girls. It will be interesting to see who is still in the eyes of the world as the year progresses. The everlasting Lucy Pinder has gotten herself another small set of pics in Nuts magazine. I guess some will be out there saying in a sarcastic tone “great”, but for those fans who have gained a pathalogical obsession with her, they will be stoked. The thing is when you think about Ms. Pinder has been around for a while now. Being discovered on a beach, keeping those boobs hidden for so long then one day showing them to the world much to everyones happiness. In many cases Lucy Pinder was the first of the “new wave” of models that essentially pushed aside the previous generation away. I think that with this girl many of the models that you see would have not even been considered in previous eras. It will be an interesting year, 2010, for Lucy Pinder and current batch of glamour models as with the rise of the “alt-model” now starting to gain momentum, thus becoming more mainstream, a model in the Kitty Lea/Vikki Blows mold only needs to hit the right note and it all changes. These pics are a slight indication of the things to come – darker tone, edgier style, lots of black. I am not writing her and the others off, but just making a point that all things come to an end.
