At the Save Our Schools march in DC last weekend, the Oscar nominee was asked if fear over losing his job inspired him to be better at that job – an indirect way of criticizing the tenure system – and replied: “You think job insecurity is what makes me work hard? Katy Perry cannot be stopped. The singer’s first movie role (voiceover only, granted) helped The Smurfs earn a tie for first place at the box office this weekend, while the singer has also made music history on the Billboard chart: “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” is Katy’s fifth single off “Teenage Dream” to hit number-one on Billboard’s Pop Song chart, making her the only artist in the chart’s nearly 20-year history to accomplish such a feat.
