While his brother remains behind bars , Sas from #LHHATL is currently in the hospital. The rapper and son of Karen King took to Instagram today to share bloody pictures and videos of himself in a hospital gown after suffering a gunshot wound. According to Sas he was struck in the back of the head but he’s expected to recover. YIKES! Get well soon! Instagram
Someone we actually like… Ava Duvernay Hosts Queen Sugar Screening At The 2016 Essence Festival During this year’s 2016 Essence Music Festiva l, film impresario Ava Duvernay held a private screening for her forthcoming OWN series. Titled “Queen Sugar” the drama tells the story of a New Orleans based family facing harsh realities, scandals and day to day effects of the prison industrial complex. BOSSIP was in attendance for the screening and watched as Duverany excitedly introduced her cast consisting of mainly newcomers Rutina Wesley, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Kofi Siriboe, Omar Dorsey, Tina Lifford, Dondre Whitfield and Nicholas Ashe. Attendees included Common.. Janelle Monae Omari Hardwick and Michelle Williams. “Queen Sugar” will debut as a two-night event on Tuesday, September 6 and Wednesday, September 7 at 10PM ET/PT on OWN.
