911 Is A Joke: Florida Man Arrested After Orlando Police Mistake Doughnut Crumbs For Meth

Florida Man Arrested After Orlando Police Mistake Doughnut Crumbs For Meth A Florida man who was arrested for drug possession when Orlando police thought glazed doughnut crumbs were methamphetamine remnants according to ABC News : “It’s a terrible feeling to go to jail when you have not done anything,” Dan Rushing, 64, of Orlando, told local ABC affiliate WFTV. “I just don’t want this to happen to somebody else.” He said police found the crumbs of his biweekly Krispy Kreme treat in his car and mistook the icing flakes for drugs after he was pulled over for a traffic violation. “Every other Wednesday, I stop at Krispy Kreme and get a doughnut there, and they found little — four little flakes of the icing,” Rushing said. “They said, ‘We found what we thought was crack cocaine in the beginning, but now we think it’s methamphetamines.’” He told ABC News today that he had just dropped his friend off at chemotherapy when he was pulled over by the police. “They said, ‘Would you mind if I search your car?’ and I said, ‘I don’t have anything to hide.’” “Then they said, ‘Well, do you want to tell me about anything illegal in your car?’” he said. He said he told them he had no idea what they were talking about, and then they produced four doughnut crumbs “no bigger than your thumbnail.” “I kept telling them that’s from a Krispy Kreme glazed doughnut,” he told ABC News. He said the police officer insisted that it was drugs and that it had tested positive as a controlled substance with a field kit. He said he was then arrested, jailed for 11 hours, strip-searched and denied his spinal injury medication, which he needs to take every six hours. “I’m not mad at this officer, but I just don’t know where her judgment was,” Rushing said. He said that he has retained an attorney and will be filing a lawsuit against the police department. “The sad thing is I’m finding out a lot of people have gone through this all over the country. A lot of these tests are giving false positives,” he said. A cop can’t recognize a doughnut when she sees it?!?!

World War Z Set Raided By SWAT Team, Brad Pitt Livid

Brad Pitt is reportedly irate over a SWAT team raid in a Budapest, Hungary, warehouse that held weapons being used in his upcoming zombie movie, World War Z . “The film is already over budget and over schedule,” a source says . “Brad is furious.” Police seized 85 fully-functional weapons, most of them automatic, military style assault rifles, saying “We can confirm weapons were confiscated at an airport.” The problem with the guns arose a source says, is that they came with paperwork claiming they were non-functional – but they’re actually in working order. “This morning a private plane brought guns wrapped in a parcel from a company to an individual [in Budapest],” said the police. “Guns such as these are extremely illegal to transport even if they were to used as stage guns, which hopefully they weren’t.” Brad Pitt is not to blame for the mixup. “The movie company employees must have made a mistake bringing the guns in without the Anti-Terrorism Unit’s permission,” says a police spokesman. “We’re interrogating witnesses now, getting closer to solving the firearms story.” The film starring Pitt, who nearly ignited World War J after his comments about being married to Jennifer Aniston , is scheduled for a December 2012 release.

G. Dep Says He Didn’t Know Shooting Victim Died

The former Bad Boy rapper says he didn’t think the man he confessed to shooting 17 years ago died from his injuries. By Paul Cantor G. Dep Photo: Denise Truscello/WireImage Just days after confessing to committing a murder 17 years ago, rapper G.Dep said he didn’t know his victim, 32-year-old John Henkel, who he shot three times after a botched robbery attempt back in 1993, had actually died. In an interview with The New York Post , Dep, born Trevell Coleman, said the police informed him of this fact when he walked into the 25th precinct to confess on Wednesday. “I was surprised — for some reason, I really didn’t think that he died,” Dep told the Post from jail. “When they told me, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m not going home after this.’ ” Manhattan District Attorney’s Office spokesperson Erin Duggan said Dep is charged with murder, and faces life in prison if convicted. Dep maintained that guilt drove him to confess to a crime that he initially appeared to get away with. “I didn’t think about it,” he said of his thought process at the time of the shooting. “That’s just the life I was living back then. [But] I started to wonder if all the bad things that happened to me in my life were karma for what I did . . . you start to think ‘My happiness is because of someone else’s sadness.’ I thought that if I turned myself in, it might give me closure.” By confessing, Dep went against the wishes of his family, and left others puzzled by his logic. “I told my mom and my girlfriend that I wanted to confess, and they both told me to leave it in the past,” he said. “People in [jail] don’t understand how you can confess. I’m just trying to get right with God. The only thing I regret is that I have to leave my kids.” NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly wasn’t wholly convinced. “Maybe he had a pang of conscience,” he said. “We’ll take it any way we can get it.” Citing law enforcement officials, the Post reports that Dep has been arrested over 30 times, most recently for trespassing with drugs on city housing property in November. Dep has also reportedly battled drug addiction. After his grandmother died four years ago, Dep is said to have turned to the drug PCP to help him cope. In September, he detailed his struggles with drug addiction in an interview with XXL magazine. “Things were going wild with the label,” he said. “I just kind of fell back into street mode. I can’t fault anybody. I just fell victim to my own gluttony.” The rapper was once part of the stable of artists on Diddy’s Bad Boy Records. He released his debut LP, Child of the Ghetto, in 2001, but was dropped a few years later. In 2004 he dropped a mixtape, The Deputy: The Sheriff Is Back in Town Volume 1, but has since maintained a low profile in the music scene. Related Artists G. Dep
