NYPD Sergeant Who Shot Unarmed Man Fired After Planting Knife At Scene

Raymond Boyd/Michael Ochs Archives/Getty Images NYPD Sergeant Fired After Shooting Unarmed Man, Planting Knife Before Picking It Back Up A police sergeant who shot an unarmed man in the face has been fired—but not criminally charged. The New York Times reports that Ritchard Blake was under investigation in connection with the off-duty shooting of a man that’s been deemed his “love rival.” According to reports, Blake shot Thavone Santone Aug. 2 in East New York and video surveillance footage showed Blake, patting down Santana, as if looking for a weapon. When Blake didn’t find a weapon he was seen on surveillance footage pulling a sheath knife out of his back pocket and dropping it out of its covering beside Mr. Santana, reports the New York Times. Sergeant Blake then picked it back up. The two men reportedly knew each other and were involved in an ongoing dispute over a woman, the mother of Blake’s 10 year-old son. Santana survived the shooting and is currently recovering.

Annabelle Neilson Dies; Ladies of London Star Was 49

Annabelle Neilson, a former star on Bravo’s reality show Ladies of London and a famous British aristocrat, was found dead last week, sources have confirmed. She was 49 years old. As of this writing, no cause of death has been announced or determined. The London Metropolitan Police told Us Weekly that officers were called to Neilson’s address on last Thursday, July 12, after a woman had been “found deceased at the location.” Per the authorities, Neilson’s death is not being treated as suspicious. No foul play is believed to have taken place. Neilson appeared on seasons 1 and 2 of the aforementioned Bravo hit prior to announcing her departure from the series in 2015. She starred alongside full-time cast members Caroline Stanbury, Marissa Hermer, Juliet Angus, Caprice Bourret and Noelle Reno for the first season of the show, which premiered in 2014. “Good buy to Ladies of London these are the ladies I love and are my real friends!!” Neilson wrote alongside an Instagram photo of herself and Kate Moss in November 2015. She added at the time: “im blessed and greatfull to say fair well!! I wouldn’t say it’s been a ride, possibly a disappointment but we all make mistakes … See you on the other side ❤❤❤❤❤out.” In addition to being a reality star, Neilson worked as a model before her passing. She was close friends with Moss and Naomi Campbell, as well as the late fashion designer Alexander McQueen… whose suicide in 2010 completely devastated her. Neilson was actually the last person to see him alive. “He was my brother, my boyfriend, my soulmate. Most of the time people called me Mrs McQueen. Quite often we were sharing a bed,” Neilson told the Daily Mail in 2015, adding back then: “The truth is I was happier with Lee than with anyone else. He asked me to marry him towards the end and I said no. I wish now that I had said yes.” Elsewhere, Neilson released a series of children’s books. She told MyBaba in 2015 that her inspiration behind the series was largely based on her experience with dyslexia. “Angry Me is a character based on me in part as a child with severe dyslexia – but I think Angry Me evokes the frustrations and feelings for children when they can’t release such a powerful emotion as anger and it can be so many different things that a child can struggle with,” Neilson told the outlet at the time. She continued: “Other characters have been based around friends, some family, some godchildren. “You do look for inspiration amongst the people close to you.” View Slideshow: 28 Reality Stars Who Died Way Too Young Neilson was also honest in the past about becoming addicted to heroin after being beaten severely at the age of 16. “The attack lasted for two hours. I was tied to a tree and continually beaten. I looked like the elephant girl by the end of it,” she told the Daily Mail in 2015, candidly admitting to the newspaper: “I managed to escape with my life but I needed reconstructive surgery because my face was so disfigured. “After that, I fell into a serious depression and became a heroin addict because it provided an escape bubble and was the only way I could cope.” In 1994 Annabelle married wealthy banker Nat Rothschild in Las Vegas, before divorcing in 1997. She does not leave behind any children. May Annabelle Neilson rest in peace. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2018: In Memoriam

Little People, Big World: When Is It Coming Back?

When Jeremy and Audrey Roloff announced that they were quitting Little People, Big World , some fans feared that Tori and Zach Roloff would quit, too . The first piece of good news is that they’re not. Auj and Jer may be leaving, but most of their family is sticking with the show. The second piece of good news is that we now know when the series is returning. This season of Little People, Big World has come to a close. But, while discussing her son Jeremy and his wife Audrey’s departure from the series, family matriarch Amy Roloff dished on when fans can look forward to seeing the next season. “Season 14 is being filmed right now,” Amy reveals. Remember, it can take days to film even one episode of a reality show. Amy then says that she expects that Season 14 “will air late this season or spring.” We think that, by “season,” she meant to say year . Of course, we already knew that they were filming again. Tori Roloff has made sure that fans are aware that the cameras and producers are on Roloff Farms, following the family members who are still part of the show. Tori shared multiple behind-the-scenes glimpses at her and her husband, back at work filming for Little People, Big World . When a couple of a show’s stars announce that they’re moving on to different pastures, it’s important for remaining cast members to reassure fans that the show will continue. Nothing does that better than photographic evidence. They’re something about pictures that just feels realer to your average fan than any verbal assurances ever could. Viewers will still get to see a lot, even with the remaining Roloffs. For starters, baby Jackson Roloff will have plenty more milestones in the coming months which, we hope, will be captured on film and shared on the show. (Also, baby Jackson was recently injured while practicing walking. Poor little guy. He’s only 13 months old) We’ve seen so much of Jackson on social media, including his process of learning to swim. We can’t wait to see more of Jackson (and of course, his parents and grandparents) in Season 14! It’s not like not appearing on the show is the end of the world. As with Jacob Roloff and his fiancee, Isabel, viewers will be able to keep an eye on Audrey and Jeremy through social media. If anything, perhaps this will free Auj and Jer to post even more photos of precious little Ember Jean, since they won’t need to hold back for the show’s sake. (Some reality stars withold major life events as much as possible until they air on TV) We don’t know if she’ll actually reappear on Little People, Big World . But you can bet that she’ll spend more time with her extended family, including her slightly older cousin, Jackson. Based upon Amy’s words, it sounds like they haven’t even penciled in a precise date. But she’s been at this for 13 seasons already. If she says that the new season will premiere later this year or during the first half of next year, we’re inclined to believe her. Unlike scripted television, reality television often follows its own schedule that has more to do with the lifestyles of the stars but also the scheduling convenience of the network. Footage can sit around for months without being aired. Let’s hope that we get to see more of the Roloffs on television as soon as is reasonably possible. So … preferably this year, please. But, if need be, we can wait. View Slideshow: Audrey and Jeremy Roloff: 19 Moments We’ll Never, Ever Forget

Eric Garner’s Mother Gwen Says She Can’t Forgive Cops After Son’s Death

New Series “Two Sides” Examines The Lives & Legacies Of Those Who Died In Police Custody & Sparked Social Change The mother of Eric Garner said she still wrestles with forgiving the police officers who killed her son three years ago. “I pray every night to forgive,” Gwen Carr said of her son Eric Garner’s death. “Because you have to forgive for yourself. But when someone takes your child away, it’s so hard. I pray to God every night to forgive me because I haven’t forgiven them.” Garner died in the midst of an arrest in 2014, and his final words, “I can’t breathe,” ignited protests around the world. Carr said the lack of accountability in the death of Garner, a married father, makes it even worse. “Maybe in time when justice comes,” she said, “I will have a better sense of forgiveness in my heart. Because there has been no justice.” Garner’s life, death and the movement it sparked is one of the subjects of “Two Sides,” a new docu-series from TV One that examines four cases – Eric Garner, John Crawford, Sandra Bland and Ezell Ford – that became symbols in the social justice fight. Instead of reenactments, the series uses actual footage from the incidents and goes in-depth with the people who were involved. Oscar winner Viola Davis is one of the series’ executive producers, and her producing partner Lemuel Plummer said his goal for “Two Sides” was to “bridge the gap between black and blue.” “Two Sides” courtesy of TV One “We’re not taking a biased approach,” Plummer said, “We’re hearing from all sides. We want the audience walking away understanding why this is happening, and why police officers end up making these decisions.” Shante Needham, the sister of Sandra Bland, agreed with Carr, and said every day has been a struggle since losing her sibling, especially when she sees more cases of people dying at the hands of police officers. “Well of course, we have to forgive if we say we are children of God,” Needham said. “But it’s the act of forgetting. I still ask three years later, ‘Why?’ Why did they do this to my sister?” Needham added that she hoped viewers would see the show as a call to action. “When you see something, speak up,” she said. “Stop letting things go under the rug…so our kids and grandkids don’t have to come up in the manner we have.” “Two Sides” will air Jan. 22 on TV One. Sue Grafton Dies; Beloved Mystery Writer Was 77

For millions of readers, the alphabet now ends with “y.” Perhaps that’s a fitting tribute to a woman who devoted her life to entertaining the masses with perplexing mysteries.  Sue Grafton, the author best known for the Kinsey Milhone “alphabet mysteries” has passed away at the age of 77. She had reportedly been battling cancer. Grafton came to readers’ attention in 1982 with the first Milhone book, A Is for Alibi . It took her five years to write the book, and sales were sluggish at first. Grafton didn’t publish the second book in the series until, B Is for Burglar until 1985. Shortly after the book hit stores, a glowing review in Newsweek forever altered the course of Grafton’s life and career: “It just undid me,” the author said in an interview. “‘Gosh, someone’s paying attention.’ Then I started doing a book a year.” Yes, from 1985 on, Grafton has published a new Milhone mystery every single year. Her latest,  Y is for Yesterday was released in August of this year. In one of her final interviews, Grafton stated that she was looking forward to completing the series: “I think it will be interesting to have a day and a week and a month and a year that isn’t already spoken for,” she said. “The last, actually, 38 years, I’ve known exactly what I’m doing next. And this is a little moment of freedom – if I can come up with a storyline for Z is for Zero , which remains to be seen.” Sadly, readers will never find out what Grafton had in store for the series’ conclusion. Her loved ones say the author abhorred the ideas of ghostwriters and adaptations, and they’ll honor her wishes to be the only one at the helm of the Milhone series. News of Grafton’s passing was made public today, via a loving tribute posted on social media by her daughter Jamie: “I am sorry to tell you all that Sue passed away last night after a two year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family, including her devoted and adoring husband Steve,” the post reads. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam “Although we knew this was coming, it was unexpected and fast. She had been fine up until just a few days ago, and then things moved quickly.  “Sue always said that she would continue writing as long as she had the juice. Many of you also know that she was adamant that her books would never be turned into movies or TV shows, and in that same vein, she would never allow a ghost writer to write in her name. “Because of all of those things, and out of the deep abiding love and respect for our dear sweet Sue, as far as we in the family are concerned, the alphabet now ends at Y.” Tributes from tens of thousands of readers have made Grafton one of day’s top trending topics on Twitter.

Bella Thorne Does Classic Vintage Style Lingerie

I woulnd’t consider Bella Thorne a classic beauty or a chick I’d think could sport classic vintage lingerie, but I will let her have fun with it, but hopefully she gets back to what she is great at and that is teasing, pleasing and acting like a social media sl%t. She could have at least given us one tongue pic in this series.
