Britney Spears: Pretty Much Loaded

Britney Spears has done well for herself in the last few years. The singer’s conservatorship and marketing machine have made a killing since December of 2008, when the conservators took over $2,826,362.68. Exactly one year later, Britney’s assets controlled by the conservators swelled to $27,500,000, thanks largely to Britney’s wildly successful Circus Tour. It’s good to be Britney Spears. Especially on medication . The figures are deceiving in that conservators only control a portion of Britney’s total estate – namely her business expenses . She has a lot of money and property in her various trusts and other business entitites the conservators do not control. Basically, she’s even richer than that figure indicates.

Dr. Dre, Eminem & Skylar Grey: "I Need a Doctor" Music Video – Watch Now!

The music video for Dr. Dre’s new single, “I Need a Doctor,” which he performed at the Grammys with Eminem and Rihanna, has officially been released. Featuring Eminem and Skylar Grey, whose vocals are stunning, the work is more than seven minutes long, with Dre himself largely absent until the end. Partly a tribute to Dre himself by protege Eminem, “I Need a Doctor” is also a memoriam of sorts to Dre’s son, Andre Dr., who tragically died in 2008. It ends with Dre standing over Eazy E’s grave, as well. Watch it here: Dr. Dre – I Need A Doctor (Feat. Eminem and Skylar Grey)

Skylar Grey On Her Role In Dr. Dre’s ‘I Need A Doctor’

Singer/songwriter also discusses her newfound, post-Grammy performance fame with ‘RapFix Live.’ By D.L. Chandler, with reporting by Sway Calloway Skylar Grey Photo: MTV News Ever since her breakout performance on the 2011 Grammy Awards alongside Eminem and Dr. Dre, singer/songwriter Skylar Grey has exploded onto the scene and shows no signs of letting up. The 25-year-old Wisconsin native joined “RapFix Live” on Thursday afternoon after the world premiere of Dre’s video for “I Need a Doctor,” which features the dark-haired beauty’s urgent and haunting vocals. MTV News asked the red-hot songstress about her role in Dre’s new video for the second single from his final opus, Detox, but not before pointing out Skylar’s newfound notoriety. “Ever since the Grammy performance, we’ve been bombarded with people wanting to work with me, and interviews. It’s been pretty crazy,” Grey said. We asked the buzzing young vocalist about her role in the dramatic and epic video, in which she appears as a ghostly apparition. “My role in the video is not necessarily what you would expect,” shared Skylar. “I play a doctor, but it makes sense because I’m the rehabilitation doctor and [I’m] kind of bringing Dr. Dre back to life.” While Grey doesn’t consider herself an actor, she praised both Eminem and Dre for their performances in the video. “I thought that they were good, really good,” Skylar said. “I’ve seen Em do cameos in movies, and well, Em did ‘8 Mile,’ and I think he’s really talented in that area.” Grey is currently working with Alex da Kid on her debut album. Alex Da Kid Talks About Skylar Grey’s Debut Album

‘I Need a Doctor’ singer’s project will be first release on producer’s new label, he tells ‘RapFix Live.’ By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway Alex Da Kid in a Skpe interview Thursday Photo: MTV News Alex Da Kid and Skylar Grey have a proven track record, from their work together on Eminem’s chart-topper “Love the Way You Lie” and current hits “Words I Never Said” by Lupe Fiasco and “I Need a Doctor” by Dr. Dre. Now the duo — he, a producer and she, a songwriter — are teaming up to work on Grey’s debut album. The still-untitled project will be the first release on the British import’s new label. “I’m working on Skylar’s project, and I’m really excited about that,” he said during Thursday’s (February 24) Dr. Dre edition of “RapFix Live.” “She’s the first artist signed to my label. I’m just wrapping up my label situation right now, and that’s my main focus.” Alex Da Kid also has credits working with B.o.B and Paramore (“Airplanes”), Nicki Minaj (“Massive Attack”) and T.I. (“Castle Walls”); Grey penned the chorus for each track. “It’s just a creative experience being in the studio with different people,” Grey said of the pair’s work . “I’m not from the hip-hop world, but I think that’s what works for the sound that we got: the combination of the alternative chorus mixed with the hip-hop verses.” Although he has hopes to work across various genres and has been in the studio with artists as varied as Rob Thomas and Rihanna, ADK said he wants to make sure he doesn’t spread himself too thin. “I definitely want to take one thing at a time,” he said. “I don’t want to overload and work with everyone and dilute my sound. I want to fully focus on everything that I do. So that’s the next thing on the list.” What do you think of Alex and Skylar’s collabos so far? Let us know in the comments! Everybody knows how much of a perfectionist he is: He’s been working on his album for 11 years. For him to bring me in, trust me, not micro-manage me, and let me bring what I do to the table, I can’t even describe how that makes me feel. “I think it’s gonna be huge,” he added “It’s just my opinion, but it’s one of my favorite songs that I did and just what it means for hip-hop.” Don’t miss “RapFix Live: Dr. Dre’s ‘I Need a Doctor’ Video Premiere” with Skylar Grey and Alex Da Kid at 6 p.m. tonight on MTV.com. Justin Bieber Reveals Birthday Plans, Talks Haircut

‘I’m just going to relax,’ singer says of his plans. By Jocelyn Vena Justin Bieber eating cheesecake Photo: Getty Images Justin Bieber turns 17 on March 1, and he’s revealing what his plans are for the big day. “I only have, like, four days, so I’m just going to relax, because I start my world tour starting on [March 4] — so just going to mentally prepare and just relax,” Justin told “Entertainment Tonight.” “No birthday bash. … Hopefully my grandparents will be out here and I’ll be able to spend time, a little bit, with them. My grandma makes the best cheesecake — cherry cheesecake. She made that for my 13th birthday.” Of course, Bieber’s birthday isn’t the only thing making headlines these days. His new haircut has also been causing quite the hoopla, but Bieber seems to be brushing it off. “I just wanted to [cut my hair], that’s all. Not really a big reason; I just woke up and said, ‘I don’t want this anymore,’ so I just cut it,” he said. “It’s not really about that. You know, the fans really liked it, but they’ll like me no matter what, because I think it’s about the music. I’m really excited to see what the fans overseas think and take it day by day.” Bieber will re-release his 3-D flick “Never Say Never” this weekend. “It’s 40 minutes of extra footage, so it’s basically like a new movie,” he says. “It’s real exciting, because it shows me and my friends more and it shows a different part of the concert, so it’s going to be great. Hopefully all the fans will go back and watch it.” Next week, in addition to his birthday, Bieber will also kick off his European tour . “I’m excited to see what [Willow Smith] brings to the table,” he said. “We start on March 4, so she’s really excited, and she told me that she can’t wait — and she’s adorable — so I can’t wait. “I have such great people around me and such good family,” he added. “I just want to be a good role model to people, and to be able to just make good music. … I’m going to make mistakes, but it’s about learning from them and becoming better. … My movie shows that anything is possible and dreams do come true. … Remember to always stay humble and always be gracious and anything can happen.” What do you think about Bieber’s new ‘do?
