Using her necklace, Katrina summons Abraham,” who warns them, “the moment a man uses the sword to kill, his soul and hence his life will be taken with it.” So basically, wield that sword and your future at your own risk. The team thusly concludes that the Sword of Methuselah must be used by Captain Irving, whose soul already belongs to the Horseman of War. He agrees. The Headless Horseman reveals that Moloch and Henry are at the four white trees, ominously warning them that the darkness is growing stronger. Hawley provides them several weapons and watches the Horseman as they venture into the trees, where Moloch’s demon army strikes with a vengeance. Using Methuselah’s sword, Irving destroys the Horseman but is wounded beyond the point of being saved himself. Abbie, enraged, decides to end Moloch. Moloch orders Henry to bring the witch to him, stating that the epic demise of Katrina will allow the final tree to burn, bringing about the End of Days. Henry obliges, but when Moloch cruelly states that neither he nor Abraham mean a thing to him, he strikes his master down with the Sword of Methuselah! Like we said earlier … wow! Is it 2015 yet?!
For some reason, Lindsay Lohan was invited to the GQ Awards in London earlier this week, where she proceeded to be her usual spoiled diva self and totally alienate everyone involved with organizing the event. The PR team for Fox’s sophomore series Sleepy Hollow sent out an email blast announcing “National Beheading Day” this week, and quickly felt the backlash. They also asked viewers to get hyped for the show’s DVD release by tweeting the hashtag #HeadlessDay, and needless to say, fans weren’t happy. After all, the campaign began just hours after the video of Steven Sotloff beheaded by ISIS hit the web, which on one hand was just poor timing, but still. It was no doubt meant as lighthearted fun to promote the Headless Horseman on a show about the fictional legend Ichabod Crane. This is obvious. Still, even before Sotloff was executed that same day, another American journalist, James Foley was killed by an Islamic State fighter in similar fashion. Clearly, Sleepy Hollow is not making light of mass murder, but ISIS’ graphic and brutal tactics have left an unsettled feeling across the globe in recent weeks. The network has since apologized and issued a sincere mea culpa “for the unfortunate timing of our Sleepy Hollow Headless Day announcement.” “The tragic news of Steven Sotloff’s death hit the web as the email was being sent. Our deepest sympathies are with him and his family.” “We don’t take the news lightly. I’m just looking forward to the second trimester. They say it’s better.” Clarkson said she and husband Brandon Blackstock were going to keep the impending child a secret for awhile longer… but she just couldn’t help herself. “I was just dying to tell people, but we were trying to wait until the end of my first trimester,” Kelly gushed. “But everybody kept talking about it and I had to cancel something because I’ve been so ill. I didn’t want people to think that I’m canceling because I’m lazy or something. In devastating news, a squirrel recently dropped his nut from atop a telephone pole when tragedy struck and a slight misstep sent his breakfast tumbling down. Incredibly, a photographer was there to document his stunned reaction: To answer the obligatory question: Yes. This is somehow a real photo . Ajeet Vikram, the photographer, said that the poor critter had just finished scurrying up the pole with his bounty at the moment of devastation – and disbelief. The 27-year-old from India set out to take photos of the sunrise that day, but happened to zero in on the squirrel and capture his expression of abject terror. “The squirrel was going up and down the pole, then suddenly climbed on the top and started to eat something. This made me want to take pictures,” he said. “The squirrel had some kind of nut, which he dropped. When I saw the [picture], I thought ‘Bingo.’ it was mind blowing. My friends all call me a real photographer now.” As for why he was intrigued by such a simple animal to start with? “I really like squirrels,” he said. “I think they look really innocent.” Particularly in life-changing moments of such raw emotion.
