American fans may still be celebrating Alex Morgan’s game-winning goal , which sent the United States into a Gold Medal showdown with Japan on Thursday. But Christine Sinclair, who netted a hat trick for Canada in this semifinal soccer matchup, has a very different reaction to the outcome. She feels screwed by the referees. “We’re disappointed and upset. We felt that the referee took it away from us,” the Canadian captain tells the AFP. “We feel like we didn’t lose, we feel like it was taken from us. It’s a shame in a game like that, which is so important, that the ref decided the result before the game started.” Sinclair’s beef stems from two key penalties called against Canada: First, a very unusual time-wasting penalty was called against goalie Erin McLeod. It resulted in a free kick for the U.S., which led to another controversial call, this one a hand ball. “In an important match it’s a disappointment that the referee had such an impact on it. We feel cheated,” Sinclair said. Canadian coach John Herdman backs up his star, referring to the whistle blows as “bizarre” and adding: “If the United States were honest, they’d know they got lucky.”

Lady Gaga and Taylor Kinney are going strong these days. The star left no doubt about that with a photo she posted for her fans, clearly showing the couple wearing very little and kissing in a swimming pool. Gaga’s social networking site for fans, LittleMonsters (dot) com, has become a hub of “art, acceptance, monsters, and Gaga.” Sums it up basically. Check out the latest pic, showing them naked or darn close: In recent weeks, we’ve been treated to pics of Lady Gaga naked and having a slumber party with Lindsay Lohan (not at the same time, fortunately). This one may take the cake, though. Taylor Kinney is quite a catch, with or without a bathing suit. Gaga snared herself a certified hunk right there. Kinney and Gaga met on the set of her video for “You and I.” The model and actor has been on Vampire Diaries and will soon star on Chicago Fire . Appropriate, for one-half of this red-hot smoldering couple, if you catch our drift. Our drift here is that the NBC program is about firefighters.
Miley Cyrus is pretty good at social networking…and all the more interesting as far as I’m concerned now that she’s engaged, because you see all young girls who get engaged, do it because they still believe love actually exists, and those who believe in love, especially while rocking a ring on their finger, usually believe in ass play….making these hard nip pics all the more interesting…. Things get experimental when fame forces you to be a reclusive.
Trey Songz Warns Fans About Fake Skype Accounts Somebody has been makin love faces with Trey Songz fans on Skype…..but it wasn’t Trey. He recently put the perpetrators on blast via his Facebook page. Trey Songz says that purportedly some individual(s) are impersonating him on Skype in the hope of getting attention from women. In a news statement earlier, Trey Songz said that he has learned about the trouble. “If you think you are skyping with me, you are wrong” the hitmaker told his female fans today. He advised news about the troubles of social networking and celebrity impersonation. “Fans please be cautious while socially networking.” Trey Songz added that he is perplexed how loyal fans would mistaken his face with some other guy. But he added “Don’t understand how something so visual can be mistaken”. He added simply “be safe.” The singer posted to his Facebook account the names of two Skype accounts he claims were used to allegedly impersonate him. We’re glad Trey put these fakes and their man-thirst on blast and everything, but we’re kind with Trey on this one. How can you be fooled on Skype??? Has this ever happened to you, Bossip readers? Having had the chance to work with one of his heroes, Paul Newman (in 1989’s Fat Man and Little Boy ), John Cusack turned to a Newman classic for a round of Movieline’s My Favorite Scene . “There’s a scene of Paul Newman in The Verdict that I would use as the best example of economy and what a close-up is supposed to mean,” Cusack explained during our chat for The Raven . “It’s the example where the film does what no other art form can do – a book can’t do it, and theater can’t do it, it’s only for film, and it’s the best example of it.” Pay attention, kids – Professor Cusack’s Film Language 101 is in session. Really, a Cusack class in film history wouldn’t be so farfetched; In addition to acting, writing, producing, and Tweeting , Cusack’s also a keen student of cinema – so much so, he jokes, he could teach a class (“On other people’s films,” he adds). When put to the Movieline challenge, he didn’t hesitate to draw upon one of the best scenes in Sidney Lumet ’s 1982 courtroom classic. “It’s Sidney Lumet and Paul Newman and David Mamet at their finest,” he began. “Paul Newman plays this ambulance-chasing lawyer whose client has been turned into a vegetable, and the hospital is trying to settle out of court because they’re protecting the doctors from a malpractice suit. It’s a big ethical dilemma. He goes to take a picture of his client, this woman who he hasn’t seen, and she’s on a life support machine – she’s been turned into a vegetable.” “You hear the breathing and breathing, and he takes the pictures,” he continued, “and then, as they develop, he has a moment of conscience. He sits down and he looks at the pictures and he looks at her, and you can see his entire life – all the compromises he’s made, all the short-cuts, all the lies – come crashing down on him.” “It’s still a wide shot, and from the back a nurse comes in and says, ‘Sir, you can’t be in here.’ And then you cut in close on Paul Newman and Paul Newman says three words: He says ‘I’m her attorney.’ And in those three words, what washes over his face tells the entire story, and it tells as much as a novel could ever tell.” Watch the scene below at the 6:40 mark. “If I was to teach what film can be, and what a close-up is supposed to be, and what great acting, directing, and writing is supposed to be, I would use that scene,” Cusack said. “It all comes together and it’s probably the best close-up that I’ve ever seen. I think it’s Newman’s finest hour – one of his many masterful pieces of acting.” Couldn’t agree more. Flashback: The Verdict was indeed nominated for five Oscars, including Best Director, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor (James Mason), and Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Picture, but was eclipsed that year by a Gandhi near-sweep. The Raven , meanwhile, hits theaters next Friday, April 27 — stay tuned for Movieline’s full interview with Cusack. Read more My Favorite Scenes. Follow Jen Yamato on Twitter . Okay, Terryl Whitlatch: We’ll forgive you now for Jar Jar Binks . Take a gander at the neat-o sketches by the illustrator and Lucasfilm creature creator (who’s responsible for concocting the most annoying character known to the Star Wars universe and maybe mankind) in which members of Marvel’s The Avengers are re-envisioned… as dinosaurs. Why not? Hulkasaurus! Captain Paramerica (Aka Parasaurolophus Rogers)! Kind of brilliant, if random. And yes, I’d pay to see a dino version of The Avengers in a heartbeat. After today’s big Rich Ross news , I can’t pass up the chance to share a Rick Ross item. As in “Freeway” Rick Ross, the notorious ’80s drug lord with ties to Iran-Contra/social networking guru/film producer who has a Nick Cassavetes -penned biopic in the works (not to be confused with Rick Ro$$ the rapper). It’s early yet, but with Scarface producer Martin Bregman allegedly interested, the former drug kingpin gave Shadow & Act an update on the project. Ross and his business partner/attorney/former deputy D.A. Antonio Moore discussed the status of Ross’ biopic, written and set to be directed by Cassavetes: Ross : Let me tell you…I was out of jail one week and I was sitting in the office with Michael Lynton from Sony Pictures, Ari Emanuel from William Morris Endeavor’s office, Jeff Berg, Spencer Baumgarten of CAA and there was another guy who was the president of Universal Pictures at the time but I can’t remember his name…All these guys tried to tell me my movie wasn’t that valuable and I should cut ties with it, let them take it and do it the way they thought it should be done. Moore : I was at the Jeff Berg meeting myself and what he said was this story is very much “new content” and Hollywood right now is having major problems finding new content that resonates. He also said the script right now, which was written by Nick Cassavetes (screenwriter of Blow , director of Johnny Q and The Notebook ), has four nominations. We’ve made contacts with several black actors who we want in the picture, like Mike Epps, but most notably we’ve made a connection with Jamie Foxx. We’re in discussions to get him to play the lead possibly. He’s read the script and talked to Rick about it. One week out of prison and Hollywood was sniffing around. Of course. “It’s like the film Blow but with crack,” Moore explained. (Fun!) “It has narration and it tells the story from three different perspectives.” Ross’s Freeway Productions, meanwhile, has already produced its first feature — the horror pic The Lost Coast Tapes . ‘I was just flattered that they thought me worthy of such a responsibility,’ Ne-Yo tells MTV News of his new SVP role. By Rob Markman Ne-Yo Photo: WireImage Ne-Yo never sought to be a music executive, but when Motown approached him to become the senior vice president of A&R , he couldn’t say no. “Sometimes the music that feeds your soul isn’t necessarily the music that feeds your family. So I never envied those cats who had to make those types of decisions,” Ne-Yo told MTV News. On Tuesday, news broke that Ne-Yo made a move from Def Jam, where he started his career, to Motown, where he will now record and help to develop new talent. The Grammy Award-winning singer explained to MTV News that he still has close ties to Def Jam, which like Motown falls under the Universal umbrella. It was Universal Republic and Island Def Jam Motown chairman/CEO Barry Weiss and senior vice president of Motown Ethiopia Habtemariam who were instrumental in bringing Ne-Yo over in an effort to re-brand the storied label that Berry Gordy started back in 1959. “They sat me down and talked to me about the whole revitalization of Motown, bringing Motown back to its original glory,” Ne-Yo said. “I gotta say, beyond anything else, I was just flattered that they thought me worthy of such a responsibility.” Music legends like Diana Ross, the Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Smokey Robinson all at one time recorded for Motown. “It’s great big shoes to fill. I was told at one point the title that I now hold is the title that Smokey Robinson held when he was there,” he said. Yes, he’s been named an executive, but the “So Sick” singer has not lost his passion for music. His upcoming fifth album, which was originally titled The Cracks in Mr. Perfect, has now taken a new turn. Though fully confident in his new material, Ne-Yo said he’s undecided on a title. For now, he is just creating. “As I’m writing and recording records, the project would take on a whole new personality within itself. That’s just the creative process,” he said. “So as of right now, there is no title for the album. I’m still working on that … the running title was The Cracks in Mr. Perfect, but I’m in a whole ‘nother head space now.” Related Artists Ne-Yo
British boy band talks to MTV News about ‘amazing’ U.S. tour. By Jocelyn Vena The Wanted Photo: MTV News As British boy band the Wanted embark on a U.S. tour, the five guys are eating up all the love they’ve been receiving Stateside. In fact, they kind of can’t get enough of all the American fans they have met since kicking off their tour last week. “Unbelievable, like we never expected it,” Max George told MTV News about the shows, which have included sold-out dates. “The States is one territory in the world we always wanted to crack, and that’s like the ultimate. It’s been amazing.” The Wanted — made up of George, Tom Parker, Siva Kaneswaran, Jay McGuiness and Nathan Sykes — formed in 2009 and quickly became popular enough in the U.K. to snag touring dates with Justin Bieber . Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, has since taken them under his managerial wing, accelerating their rise to American popularity. In fact, they even opened for Britney Spears for a date on her Femme Fatale Tour. They are currently out promoting their single “Glad You Came.” Parker said he’s overwhelmed by the response the guys have been getting city after city since coming over, which includes a performance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.” “It’s all been really quick, actually, and we’ve only been over here for a week and we’ve seen it grow massively in just a week,” he said of the group’s popularity. “Well that’s the power of the Internet; social networking crosses over into so many different territories that for us it’s been crucial.” Kaneswaran added that the guys have also been connecting to audiences and fans thanks to “the power of music, music defines an act.” As the guys continue to weave spells over American audiences, they weighed in on what makes U.S. fans different from the ones back home. “The American fans are so optimistic, very intense,” George said. “They’re just really enthusiastic. I get a massive buzz off American people. I think it’s really refreshing.” With several weeks left on their trek around America, McGuiness teased future audiences of what they should expect at one of their shows. “I think just don’t go expecting the perfect, polished, most beautiful set of things ever,” he said. “Basically it’s five guys and this absolutely rocking band. Our band is badass and we sing our heads off and it gets sweaty.” The guys are here promoting their album Battleground. Their U.S. tour will wrap up on February 8 in Los Angeles before they kick off an arena tour on February 15 in their native England. “We were always hopeful it would go as good as it started off to be,” McGuiness added. “But you never know how a new territory is going to react. I feel like there is an element of luck involved.” Are you planning on seeing the Wanted live? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists The Wanted
