UPDATE: Abducted Georgia Teen Found Alive And Unharmed Several Miles Outside Metro Atlanta!

Jesus took the whee l Atlanta Teen Who Was Kidnapped Earlier Today Has Been Found Via FoxNews A 14-year-old Georgia girl who was abducted from her home near Atlanta has been found alive, authorities said. Clayton County Police Chief Gregory Porter told reporters that Ayvani Hope Perez was in “good health” and was being evaluated after being dropped off in Conyers, roughly 20 miles east of Atlanta. “This is a good day,” Porter said during an afternoon press conference. “She is safe … she is safe.” Two suspects are in custody, said Porter, adding that investigators are “looking at” other suspects as well. It remains unclear whether the girl and her family were targeted or if the attack was random, Porter said. Not sure that we can buy that this was “random”. Rick Maxwell, the FBI Atlanta Field Office’s special agent in charge, declining to discuss the alleged kidnapping. A motive for the incident has not yet been determined, he said. “We have not determined the relationship between these individuals at this time,” Maxwell told reporters. Maxwell identified the suspects as Wildrego Jackson, 29, of Atlanta, and Juan Alberto Contreras-Rodriguez, a 40-year-old Mexican national who is being held on immigration-related charges. The two suspects detailed in police sketches released earlier by police are not the same men arrested Wednesday, Maxwell said. We’re glad that Ayvani is in good health, but something about this whole story seems very fishy… Image via FOX Continue reading

What The Hell?? Tour Guide Re-Tells Terrifying Story Of Being Swallowed Alive By A Hippo!

Whoa… Tour Guide Shares Story Of Being Swallowed Alive By Hippo This is some WILD ish….. via Huffington Post “There was a terrible, sulphurous smell, like rotten eggs, and a tremendous pressure against my chest,” Paul Templer said, recalling the moment he realized he had been swallowed by a hippopotamus. At the time, Templer was 27, a river guide taking groups of tourists down the Zambezi river near Victoria Falls, along the border of Zambia and Zimbabwe. His near-death story appeared in The Guardian’s “Experience” series on Friday and has since grabbed headlines around the world. “I remember looking up through 10 feet of water at the green and yellow light playing on the surface, and wondering which of us could hold his breath the longest,” he wrote in The Guardian. “Blood rose from my body in clouds, and a sense of resignation overwhelmed me. I’ve no idea how long we stayed under — time passes very slowly when you’re in a hippo’s mouth.” The hippo’s teeth savaged Templer’s chest and left arm. But he told The Chicago Tribune in an earlier interview that he still counts himself very lucky. “I went straight down his throat. It smelled like death,” Templer said in the Tribune. And yet, when the hippo “bit into my lungs he missed my heart. He missed my liver and kidneys.” Although Templer carried a .357-caliber Magnum firearm, he told the Tribune he never got a chance to pull it. After repeated bites, Templer managed to get ashore, but his wounds included a bite so deep it revealed part of his lung. No idea how he lived to tell about this! Shutterstock

Boston Bombing Suspects Battle Police, Kill MIT Officer; One Suspect Dead, One at Large

Armed with explosives and guns, the Boston Marathon bombing suspects battled law enforcement officers in a Boston suburb early Friday morning. The two men unleashed chaos and killed an MIT campus officer before police took one of the men into custody and the other fled, officials said. The suspect taken into custody later died. Officials identified the man on the run as the “white-hat” suspect, referring to the photos released by the FBI Thursday. Authorities warned he should be considered armed and dangerous. The standoff with the suspects in Watertown, Mass., erupted after the fatal shooting of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology police officer. A transit police officer was also wounded in the Watertown firefight. Officials in Watertown were warning residents to “stay in their homes and not open their doors unless a police officer is there,” according to reports. “There is a terrorist on the loose,” said one officer at an impromptu press conference at about 4:30 a.m. Friday morning, after the intense battle. The suspect at large is believed to be the man who physically placed the bags containing the homemade bombs which killed 3 and injured 170 on Monday. He is described as “dressed in a grey hoodie, light skinned male, brown curly hair,” with international links and having been in the country legally a year. The suspects approached the MIT officer and shot him in head, sources said, then stole the MIT officer’s cruiser, robbed a nearby 7-11 and carjacked a Mercedes. They briefly kidnapped the driver of the SUV, and the suspects threw explosives out the window of the moving car in what was a harrowing and chaotic scene. The dead suspect had an improvised explosive device strapped to his chest and law enforcement sources warned that the suspect on the run may as well. The intense situation in Watertown followed an hours-long lockdown at MIT, where the campus police officer was shot and killed while investigating. A disturbance was reported on the Cambridge campus. It is not clear exactly what, but the suspects are believed to have killed the MIT officer and fled. Even as police swept the campus, there were reports of a violent car chase and then an extremely heavy police presence in Watertown, four miles away. The events began unfolding with reports of shots fired on the MIT campus at 10:48 p.m. ET, and the situation remained “active and extremely dangerous” for hours. It was later reported that a campus officer had been killed. Watertown resident Andrew Kitzenberg described the police shootout outside his house that followed when officials tracked down the Boston bombing suspects . “They engaged in gunfire for a few minutes,” he told NBC News. “They were also utilizing bombs, which sounded and looked like grenades, [during] the gunfight.” “They also had what looked like a pressure-cooker bomb.” Kitzenberg said two people took cover between a black Mercedes SUV and a sedan, and began shooting 70 or 80 yards toward six Watertown police vehicles. “It was a firefight,” the witness added. “There was a long exchange of gunfire.” One of the shooters then ran toward the cops, while the other got into the SUV. The person on foot later fell to the ground, either tackled or shot. The other drove the SUV through the line of police cars at the end of the street, he added. Kitzenberg said that while he had a “very clear view of the shooters,” he couldn’t see their faces but described them as “average size, average height.” Story developing … UPDATE : The two bombing suspects are brothers, aged 19 and 20, and legal permanent U.S. residents of Chechen origin, law enforcement sources say.

3-Young Goons Arrested In Death Of 14-Year Old Paul Sampleton: Shot To Death Over Basketball Shoes In The ATL [Video]

Two 15-Year old’s and one 18-Year old boy were arrested for the shooting death of Atlanta teen, Paul Sampleton: Channel 2 Action News has learned Gwinnett County police have arrested and charged three people in connection with the murder of 14-year-old Paul Sampleton. Police believe the teen was killed over high-end sneakers. Two of the suspects are just teens themselves, but have been charged as adults. Sampleton attended Grayson High School and was a star athlete who dreamed of playing Division 1 football. Sampleton was shot multiple times inside his home on Haynescrest Court on Dec. 19. His father discovered him bound and gagged. Channel 2′s Kerry Kavanaugh has followed this story since Sampleton was killed. Since then, Channel 2 Action News has uncovered several aspects of the case, but held off on reporting as to not compromise the case at the request of detectives. Friday, for the first time, Kavanaugh sat down with all the detectives working the case to discuss what led up to the arrests. Police have charged 15-year-old Larnell Sillah with felony murder. Investigators would not elaborate on the role he played. Police said Sillah and Sampleton both attended Grayson High School. Police believe they were acquaintances, not friends. Police have also charged 15-year-old Achiel Morgan and 18-year-old Romaine Stewart with the planning of the crime. Police said definitively that the motive in the case was Sampleton’s collection of high-end sneakers. Sampleton was involved in what’s known among teenagers as the “shoe game.” He collected and traded the shoes. Friends and classmates said Sampleton was known for having one of the biggest and best collections in the game. “They were aware that he had nice things. They were aware that he traded in these high end sneakers,” said Cpl. Jake Smith with the Gwinnett County Police Department. According to a search warrant obtained by Channel 2, the day of the shooting, several pairs of high-end sneakers were stolen, including the pair Sampleton was wearing that day. Police served multiple search warrants at the same home on Farmstead Court in Grayson, not far from where Sampleton lived with his mother. Police said witnesses spotted a silver BMW in the neighborhood the day of the shooting. It was registered to a person at the Farmstead Court address. “Essentially we had a witness in the neighborhood where the homicide happened who saw the vehicle,” Smith said. Stephanie Stone, Paul’s mother, told Kavanaugh the arrests in her son’s murder won’t bring him back. But she said now she can begin to heal. “I just felt a sense of relief, a sense of euphoria. It was just like a smile had been planted on my face,” said Stone. “I am so glad that we’re on the road for closure.” Stone said her son’s death never had to happen. “It is sad that you got three young black men that are going to spend the rest of their lives behind bars, or whatever may come for them, over material things,” Stone said. As for the parents of the men that were arrested, Stone said she has no sympathy for them. “I’m not going to say that I feel bad for those parents. I’m not, because I feel bad for me. These parents are the ones raising these types of children. They’re raising them,” Stone said. The investigation continues into other suspects.
