The ESPN reporter Erin Andrews has been receiving death threats according to her lawyer. Last September, a number of threatening e-mails concerning Andrews have been sent to Don Patrick, a sportscaster. Just until recently, the e-mails were turning violent starting last month. The e-mails which were received in March were specific and violent, and they even identified the location and the process of the planned murder. Andrews first came to know about these e-mails on Thursday morning. Dan Patrick, formerly working at ESPN, provided and revealed the existence of the threats to Andrews. Currently, Andrews is provided with round-the-clock security for her safety. Marshall B. Grossman, her lawyer, requested to heightened security at CBS Television City in Los Angeles, where Andrews is one of the contenders on the show “Dancing with the Stars.” Michael David Barrett, pleaded guilty to a federal stalking charge in December. The prosecutors accused him of changing hotel peepholes to enable him to shoot video of Andrews while naked. In March, a federal judge sentenced him to two and a half years imprisonment.
