Candy Spelling is a true Hollywood champion. On January 19th, Aaron Spelling's widow was getting into her car after dinner at West Hollywood celebrity haunt, Madeo when a TMZ videographer asked her about Tori Spelling's financial woes . The videographer brought up the $38,000 + lawsuit American Express filed against her daughter, who took out a loan last summer when money was tight. Tori also suffered burns after an accident at a local Benihana, which required medical attention. Candy remained expressionless as the videographer yammered on, as if she was all too aware of the position Tori and husband Dean McDermott have found themselves in. “Would you be willing to help her out?” The videographer asked. “I've been helping her out,” Candy answered. “I'm paying all her bills now. I'm not paying [for] extras like that.” “But she has a year of back payments,” the videographer pressed on. “I'm not paying any back payments,” Candy continued. “Just for the house and the kids' school, and the food.” “Why did she miss a bunch of payments?” “I don't know,” Candy replied breezily. “Extravagance, I guess.” Dean has reportedly asked Tori to consider filing for bankruptcy , since they owe money to other credit card companies as well. However, a source told Radar Online that Tori refuses to even discuss the possibility of bankruptcy,”
Yesterday, we reported that Tori Spelling is being sued by American Express for failure to pay her bill. Now, this isn’t a case of Tori’s check getting lost in the mail one month. The company alleges that Spelling owes more than $38,000, and hasn’t made a payment in over 8 months. According to the suit, she did write a check for $1,019 back in June, but it bounced. Now, Radar Online is reporting that the outstanding AmEx bill is just the tip of the Tori’s iceberg of mounting debt, and she and husband Dean McDermott may be forced to file for bankruptcy . “American Express provided a loan to Tori out of a line of credit she had,” says one insider. “The loan was needed because Tori and Dean had no money coming in last summer. She was hospitalized with burns on her arms, and was in pain for months.” The source is referring to an incident in which Tori burned herself when she fell on a grill at a Benihana restaurant. The injuries were reportedly minor, and something tells us that the real reason Tori didn’t have any money coming in last summer is that she doesn’t have a career. McDermott reportedly recognizes the seriousness of their financial situation, while Tori remains in denial: “Dean wants Tori to file for bankruptcy because there are other credit card companies that are owed money too,” the insider says. “It’s surprising that this was only the first company to file a lawsuit in an attempt to get the outstanding balance paid.” Even so, Tori refuses to endure the humiliation of making her financial struggles a matter of public record. “Tori refuses to even discuss the possibility of bankruptcy,” says the source. Is she really that worried about being embarrassed? Has she seen any of her reality shows?!

Retired supermodel and former America’s Next Top Model judge has become the latest woman to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault. In a new interview with Entertainment Tonight, Dickinson claims that Cosby drugged and raped her in Lake Tahoe following a business meeting in 1982. Dickinson is the 15th woman to come forward with allegations against Cosby. Earlier this week, a woman named Joan Tarshis accused Cosby of rape and provided shocking details of the comedian’s abuse in an interview with Inside Edition. Dickinson claims Cosby asked her to travel to Tahoe and have dinner with him, so that they could discuss the possibility of her appearing on The Cosby Show. According to Dickinson, Cosby offered her a glass of red wine and a pill, which he said was a painkiller that would help with her menstrual cramps. Dickinson now believes the pill was a powerful sedative: “The next morning I woke up, and I wasn’t wearing my pajamas,” Dickinson told ET. “And I remember before I passed out that I had been assaulted by this man.” “I’m doing this because it’s the right thing to do,” Dickinson says about coming forward. “I believe all of the other women.” Cosby has yet to respond publicly to the allegations. When asked about the charges during a recent NPR interview, Cosby simply went silent. Bill Cosby Memes Gone Horribly Awry 1. Stare at the Sweater Thanks a lot, Internet users. War Machine Attempts Suicide In Jail Cell The MMA Fighter who burst into his ex-girlfriend’s home and beat her within an inch of her life is having a hard time in jail, apparently. He made a near-successful suicide attempt on Tuesday evening before guards found and resuscitated him. Via ESPN : Former MMA fighter War Machine is in medical isolation in a Las Vegas jail after a suicide attempt earlier this week, police confirmed Thursday, according to multiple reports. A Clark County Detention Center guard found War Machine, formerly known as Jonathan Koppenhaver, on Tuesday night after he tried to hang himself, according to authorities. Police said Koppenhaver was unresponsive when found. Koppenhaver’s attorney, Brandon Sua, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that the fighter’s vital signs had “completely stopped” and that he was “pretty much dead” when found. Sua also said officials found “multiple” suicide notes in Koppenhaver’s cell. Koppenhaver, 32, is being held without bond on charges of attempted murder, domestic battery by strangulation, first-degree kidnapping and sexual assault, stemming from an alleged incident involving his ex-girlfriend and adult film actress Christy Mack on Aug. 8 at her Las Vegas residence. The professional mixed martial artist faces the possibility of life in prison. A preliminary hearing had been scheduled for Friday, but the Review-Journal reported that lawyers told a judge Wednesday that they wanted to try negotiate with prosecutors. Koppenhaver was extradited to Las Vegas from Ventura County, California, on Aug. 30, after he was arrested in a Los Angeles suburb. Sua told the Review-Journal that his client’s depression and anxiety had “increased since his August arrest.” SMH.
