Bill Cosby: I Applaud Eddie Murphy For Not Mocking Me!

Bill Cosby has mostly been in the news recently for allegedly drugging and molesting over 30 different women. Now he’s coming forward to thank Eddie Murphy who rejected an offer to impersonate Cosby during the SNL 40 reunion show. Every time Bill Cosby googles himself these days, he just keeps on getting bad news ( two more women accused him of drugging/abusing them just this week). So yeah … more bad news. It was probably nice, from Cosby’s point of view, that his fellow comedian Eddie Murphy declined the opportunity to lampoon Cosby during the SNL taping earlier this week. Cosby said via a spokesman , “I am very appreciative of Eddie and I applaud his actions.” The action he’s applauding here is Eddie’s in -action during the SNL 40 show. Instead, Cosby’s former cast-mate, Kenan Thompson did the impression of Cosby during the Celebrity Jeopardy bit. This is the second time a major comedian has come to Cosby’s aide. Roseanne Bar also recently said she’s pulling for him and hoping that he can ” make it right .” Of course, nobody is claiming he’s innocent, although he has yet to be officially charged by a court of law. Cosby really is a sacred cow within the comedy community, if allegedly raping over 30 women can’t even get him a little bit of ribbing during a sketch show. Cosby has famously refused to defend himself against the allegations. But he “applauds” Eddie Murphy’s actions? It’s as if Eddie was giving some speech or marching in a picket-line against a grave injustice. Hey Bill Cosby, you’re lucky you’re NOT IN JAIL!!! Malcolm Jamal-Warner: Bill Cosby is the Real Victim Here!

Throughout the eight-season run of the classic sitcom that bears his name, Bill Cosby literally played the role of a father figure to Malcolm Jamal-Warner. Beginning when he was just 14 years old, Warner played Theo Huxtable, the only son of Cosby’s Dr. Cliff Huxtable, and the sometimes funny, sometimes heartfelt scenes in which Cliff imparted his fatherly wisdom to Theo quickly became the stuff of TV legend. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that Warner is sticking by his TV dad in the face of dozens of rape accusations against Cosby . What certainly is a surprise, however, is the fact that Warner saw fit to compare Cosby’s current woes with the trauma suffered by victims of sexual assault. “Just as it’s painful to hear any woman talk about sexual assault, whether true or not,” Warner said in a recent interview with Billboard. “It’s just as painful to watch my friend and mentor go through this.” We’re hoping that Warner didn’t intend to make such an offensive comparison between Cosby’s situation and the plight of his alleged victims, but it’s hard to imagine what else he might have meant by that comment. Already, Camille Cosby defended her husband , and Bill’s daughter Evin Cosby attacked his accusers online, and in both cases, the women either implied or stated flat-out that the alleged victims are nothing buy lying opportunists. Warner’s remarks might be even more offensive, however, as in his effort to avoid addressing the victims’ claims directly, he trivializes the suffering of all sexual assault victims.  Again, his statements seem more ill-considered than malicious, but we think the smartest strategy for Warner going forward would be to simply avoid any discussion of this atrocious situation unless he has a more compassionate insight to contribute. Bill Cosby: New Accuser Claims Comedian Drugged Her, Licked Her Toes in 2008

Yet another woman has come forward to accuse Bill Cosby of sexual assault. Chloe Goins claims that she was drugged and awoke to find Cosby licking her toes during a party at the Playboy Mansion in 2008. Goins says she attended the party at the invitation of Playboy founder Hugh Hefner. She claims that Hefner introduced her to Cosby and then offered her a drink. She was just 18 years old at the time.  “I wasn’t really supposed to drink because of my age,” Goins tells the Daily Mail. “Everything kind of went a little foggy. I started feeling sick to my stomach and just dizzy.” Goins says the comic escorted her to a bedroom where she later woke up naked to find Cosby fondling her feet and masturbating. “I came to and remember seeing this big man crouched over me,” she says. “It was Bill Cosby, and he was at my feet, kind of licking and kissing them and I think he bit my toe and that’s what woke me up.” Goins claims that Cosby ran from the room when he realized that she was awake. More than 20 women have now accused Cosby of sexual assault . Cosby has remained largely silent on the issue, but he gave a bizarre statement on Sunday, telling the New York Post that he expects the “black media” to remain neutral  in its coverage of the accusations. Bill Cosby Sexual Assault Claims to Be Investigated by LAPD

As you’re probably aware, Bill Cosby has been accused of sexual assault by a number of women in recent weeks.  Most of the alleged incidents took place several decades ago, meaning they’re beyond the statute of limitations for prosecution. Even so, TMZ is reporting that the Los Angeles Police Department is planning to investigate Judy Huth’s claim that Cosby assaulted her when she was just 15 years old. A spokesman for the department has reportedly stated that the department “has an obligation to investigate all crimes when a victim comes forward.” Sources say authorities are hoping that if they look into Huth’s claims and find them to be valid, the investigation might prompt other victims to come forward. However, there remains a good chance that even if police determine Cosby is guilty of the various sex crimes he’s been accused of, the TV icon might never see the inside of a courtroom. Attorney Gloria Allred has attempted to circumvent the statute of limitations issue by challenging Cosby to put up $100 million to prove his innocence. Allred has publicly asked Cosby to place the money in a trust for his victims, and allow a panel of retired judges to determine if he’s guilty or not. Cosby has yet to respond to the challenge. The Bill Cosby sex scandal continues to worsen, with new allegations surfacing seemingly every day. Last week, former Law & Order actress Michelle Hurd accused Cosby of sexual assault , thus becoming the 18th woman to do so. Since then, even more allegations have surfaced, including one from a former Cosby Show staffer who claims he was tasked with offering money to women who had been victimized by Cosby’s lewd behavior. The flood of allegations has led many to wonder how Cosby managed to maintain his image as America’s favorite sitcom dad for so many decades. A report that surfaced earlier today may offer some insight into the tactics Cosby employed in order to manipulate the media: In today’s New York Post, columnist Richard Johnson accuses Cosby of selling out his own daughter in order to protect his reputation. Johnson claims an unidentified friend of his worked at the National Enquirer in 1989, and was preparing to run a story about Cosby’s habit of “swinging” (participating in wife-swapping and other non-traditional sex practices) with legendary entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. Johnson’s source says the story was pulled at the last minute in favor of a report about Cosby’s then 23-year-old daughter Erinn, and her struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. “My editor told me that daddy Cosby was the source,” the insider days. “He ratted out his own flesh and blood.” Aside from vaguely referencing his current troubles while performing on stage, Cosby has remained silent about the many charges against him. Michelle Hurd: Law & Order Actress Accuses Bill Cosby of Sexual Abuse

Yet another woman has come forward alleging that she was sexually abused by comedy legend Bill Cosby , thus bringing the total number of accusers to 18. Hurd made the accusation in a lengthy post on her Facebook page: “I wasn’t going to say anything,” Hurd writes. “But I can’t believe some of the things I’ve been reading, so here is my personal experience.” “I did stand-in work on The Cosby Show back in the day and YES, Bill Cosby was VERY inappropriate with me.” Hurd goes on to describe how Cosby touched her inappropriately, invited her into his dressing room, and asked her to shower at his house. “I dodged the ultimate bullet with him when he asked me to come to his house, take a shower so we could blow dry my hair and see what it looked like straightened,” Hurd writes. “At that point my own red flags went off and I told him, ‘No, I’ll just come to work tomorrow with my hair straightened.'” She adds that he instructed her, “‘NEVER tell anyone what we do together.'” Hurd claims that another actress on the show was drugged while visiting Cosby’s house. Hurd’s story comes on the heels of similar accusations made by  Carla Ferrigno and Terese Serignese  on Friday. Cosby has denied the allegations through his attorney. Carla Ferrigno, Terese Serignese: Two More Women Accuse Bill Cosby of Sexual Assault

Earlier this month, decades-old Bill Cosby rape allegations resurfaced when comedian Hannibal Buress referenced the dark chapter in Cosby’s past during his stand-up routine. In the weeks since, several more women have come forward with shocking charges against Cosby. First, a former actress named Joan Tarshis provided shocking details of an alleged encounter with Cosby in 1969. Later the same day, former supermodel Janice Dickinson accused Cosby of sexual assault , claiming the legendary comic drugged and raped her in 1982. Today, two more women have independently come forward with similar accusations against Cosby. A Florida woman named Terese Serignese, and Carla Ferrigno – the wife of actor Lou Ferrigno – both gave interviews within the last 24 hours in which they accused Cosby of assaulting them. Serignese says Cosby offered her free tickets and backstage passes to his comedy show in 1976. When she met up with him after the performance, he gave her two quaaludes, which she says she felt pressured to take. “My next memory is I felt high,” Serignese says. “I don’t remember what happened in the meantime…He didn’t have any clothes on, and obviously I didn’t either by that point. I don’t know how they got off.” Ferrigno says her encounter with Cosby occurred while she was still in her teens. Cosby allegedly invited her to his home, where he groped and attempted to kiss her while his wife was in a different room. Ferrigno says she was able to fight him off and run from the house. Cosby has yet to respond to any of the charges. He refused to answer rape allegation questions during a recent NPR interview and simply went silent when the topic came up. Apollo Nida Begs Phaedra Parks to Take Him Back in First Prison Interview

After being convicted of fraud and identity theft back in May,  Apollo Nida is serving an eight-year prison sentence  at a Georgia correctional facility. In his first prison interview since (reluctantly) turning himself in  in September, Nida reports that he’s adjusting well to prison life, and is hoping that his ex-wife Phaedra Parks will wait for him on the outside. Nida and Parks split shortly before he was found guilty, and sources say the divorce is proceeding rapidly (we imagine there’s not much squabbling over kids and property when one half of the couple is behind bars). The breakup seemed to be mutual, and there were accusations of infidelity from both parties. Now, however, Apollo wants to give his marriage a second try, but we imagine his pleas will fall on deaf ears: “I hope we can stick it out,” Apollo told In Touch last week. “Yes, we’ve had our problems – especially over the past year – but we’ve gotten on terms now where I can call her and it’s cordial.” Someone should tell Apollo that “cordial” isn’t enough to sustain a relationship through an eight-year prison sentence. A spokesperson for Phaedra confirms “there have been absolutely no discussions about reconciling” and “the divorce is proceeding as planned.” As for the couple’s two kids, Apollo reports that he has not seen 4-year-old Ayden and 18-month-old Dylan since he began serving his sentence, but he says “there are plans” to have them visit soon. Don Lemon sat across from  Joan Tarshis for an exclusive interview on CNN last night, asking Tarshis many questions about her past with Bill Cosby. After opening up to Lemon about how Cosby allegedly raped her twice in 1969 and about how she staved off his advances for intercourse by lying about a vaginal infection, Tarshis said she was forced to perform oral sex on the famous comedian. But this prompted Lemon to ask an unusual, wildly inappropriate question in response: Can one really be forced to perform oral sex? Why didn’t Tarshis just bite down on Cosby’s penis out of protest?
