There’s no need to go into detail, because there’s literally a new headline everyday about how Trump and his republican supporters are ruining this country with their bare hands. The 2020 election is underway, and although there are many Democratic candidates that could potentially be a good fit, no one has really blown me away enough to feel like “Yup, That’s her/him. That’s my next POTUS.” So like most millennials who’ve been brought up in the DIY era, I decided to come up with a cabinet of my own — celebrity style. Because hey — if a bigoted, reality star and businessman can run a country (barely) with zero experience, there’s a slew of celebs who would be a much better fit for each position in the Cabinet. If you’ve been working every day and sitting a ton of paid time off, take it off. Reward yourself: You deserve a reward. Go get your nails or hair done. Get a massage and pamper yourself. You never know how good it feels to have someone do something for you. Simply going to grab a bite to eat can do you just fine. Keep a journal: A psychiatrist is great because we all need to speak out our issues to someone, that will help us see the clearer picture. Sometimes you may have the time to sit down and talk to a psychiatrist. You can always keep a journal, so you can see the vision in front of you. When you tell yourself negative things, that is what you will start to believe. Positive affirmations are more successful than you think. Daily you can repeat the same one or find different ones that will satisfy your thoughts. “Today, I choose me.” Remove negative relationships from your life: You ever hear, “Good Vibes Only”? Most recently, it’s being reported that the actor is going to join the cast of Space Jam 2 . According to reports from Deadline , Don Cheadle is going to be apart of LeBron James’ sequel to the famous NBA and Looney Tunes crossover. As of now, though, what his actual role will be in the long-anticipated reboot is not known. As for who won’t be in the movie, we learned recently that the one-and-only Stephen A Smith is on the list–and of course, since we’re talking about Stephen A Smith here, he made his stance on not being apart of the film very well known by tweeting out his thoughts. Twenty-five years ago today, police pursued O.J. Simpson and friend A.C. Cowling were pursued through the streets of Los Angeles in Simpson’s now-infamous white Ford Bronco. The rest, as they say, is history. The chase led to an arrest, a shocking acquittal, a miniseries in which Ross from Friends says “Juice” a lot , and now … the most bonkers social media account on the World Wide Web. Yes, if you spent any time on Twitter this weekend, you probably noticed that O.J. was one of the site’s top trends. The sudden resurgence in popularity was not due to the former running back rushing off to the big endzone in the sky, as many initially assumed, but was instead a result of Simpson’s terrifying message to the world: O.J. Simpson Comes to Twitter! “Hey Twitter World, this is yours truly,” Simspson told fans in the video above, which was his first post to the micro-blogging platform. “Now, coming soon to Twitter, you’ll get to read my thoughts and opinions on just about everything,” the accused murderer cautioned. “Now, there’s a lot of fake OJ accounts out there. “So this one—@TheRealOJ32—is the only official one. So, this should be a lot of fun. I’ve got a little getting even to do. So God bless. Take care.” Yes, like just about every other pop cultural artifact from the ’90s, O.J. is back and bigger than ever these days. But unlike the Spice Girls or Full House , Simpson very likely snuffed out two human lives. As for what O.J. means by “getting even,” well — we suppose we’ll have to wait in terror to find out. Of course, as many fans have pointed out, Simpson doesn’t mess around when it comes to exacting revenge. In all likelihood, Simpson would’ve caught flak for joining Twitter at any point — what with that nasty business involving his butchered ex-wife and all. But the 71-year-old has really incurred the wrath of the internet by making his announcement so close to the 25th anniversary of the murders of Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Those hoping that Simpson will address his alleged crimes are likely to be disappointed, as O.J. says the topic is no longer up for discussion. “My family and I have moved on to what we call the ‘no negative zone,'” he said in a recent interview. “We focus on the positives.” Yeah, you wouldn’t want to traumatize your kids by talking about their mother’s murder. That could really mess them up!
The past 18 months have seen a lot of shakeups in the Teen Mom franchise. It all started when Farrah Abraham got fired from Teen Mom OG back in December of 2017. Though no one could ever hope to fill Farrah’s shoes in terms of batsh-t drama, MTV tried by hiring Bristol Palin and Cheyenne Floyd . Floyd turned out to be a good fit for the cast — Bristol, not so much. The daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin quit the show after just one season, claiming that the life of a reality star was simply not for her. (Bristol has appeared on numerous other reality shows, including two that were based entirely on her life and were quickly canceled, so she probably just didn’t enjoy appearing on this particular series, but whatever …) In a recent interview with Us Weekly the remaining OG cast (the OGs of OG, if you will) were asked for their thoughts on the possibility of MTV hiring a replacement for Bristol. Not surprisingly, the ladies were less than thrilled with the prospect of sharing screen time with another newcomer, thus rendering them more inessential to the series’ future: “No, we’re good,” Amber Portwood told the tabloid. “No new friends,” echoed Maci Bookout. “No, I’m good with just four,” Catelynn Lowell added. Like we said, the responses are not surprising — but they’re more than a little misguided. It appears this is a case of employees mistakenly believing they’re management. You see, Bristol was added to the cast — and paid more than the rest of the moms — for very good reason: Teen Mom OG ratings have been plummetting for years, and they took a sharp nosedive after Farrah got fired. Love her or hate her, Ms. Abraham’s insanity made her a reliable ratings magnet — something the show is sorely lacking these days. The current cast might like things the way they are — but surely they’d prefer keeping their jobs over joining Farrah on the unemployment line. As for her own experience on the show, Floyd said that after a rocky start, she feels she’s been fully embraced by the Teen Mom community: “I don’t think people thought that we would mesh so well, but I think we all went in and we’re [thinking], ‘No judgment, open minds, let’s get to know each other in a real organic way.’” Cheyenne told Us. “I feel like we’ve done that.” Sounds like Cheyenne is well aware that there’s bound to be a lot of ups and downs living in the public eye in 2019 — but ultimately her cushy job and six-figure paycheck make it all worthwhile. Hosted by Brendan Dunne, Matt Welty and Trinidad James, the weekly sneaker talk and debate show had the Harlem native on a very rare wave. While this installment stuck to the script in terms of their usual segments some of the topics that naturally came up during the exchange had us in tears. When discussing Nike Boots Jim made it clear that the trend actually started in Harlem around 2001 contrary to Wale’s 2007 song of the same name. When Brendan challenged him regarding Folarin flying that flag first, Jones emphatically responded, “Wale don’t want no sneaker conversation with me.” That opened door wider for even more peer shaming despite a compliment. “Wale get fly. He get fly but a lot of those sneakers he be wearing be boo boo.” Yikes. Jones went to be very critical on the chunky sneaker trend and rappers who look crazy trying to make the look work. “I don’t wear clown shoes. I don’t wear big shoes. I don’t wear shoes with three heels on them.” While taking a stroll through memory lane of his iconic Diplomat swag days he detailed how Cam’ron always had a great rotation of sneakers. When asked about Dame Dash’s fashion influence on Harlem during that era Jim stopped with the compliments. “Dame was a little bit older and sh*t. Dame didn’t get too fly. He had the regular Harlem get up. He wasn’t the fly n*gga in Harlem.” The rest of the episode is filled to the brim with gems including admitting to getting finessed by a bonduloo sneaker reseller, being low key responsible for SUPREME’s success and tongue f*cking.
