The music video for Chris Brown‘s latest single “Turn Up The Music” has arrived, and in it, the 22-year-old R&B star not only sings the track, but directs as well! Brown’s debut behind the camera was co-directed with Godfrey Tabarez. “Music is FREEDOM! The video is out!!!!” Chris wrote on his Twitter, luckily without any f-bombs for the haters . “Love you team breezy!!! #turnupthemusic.” What do you think? Turn it up or turn it down? Chris Brown’s mother, Joyce Hawkins, is reportedly livid about his post-Grammy Twitter rampage in which he told his haters to f–k off … among other things. The singer lashed out at critics who slammed the Grammys for honoring him during Sunday’s awards show, and had bitter words for those bashing him. “HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now! That’s the ultimate F**K OFF!” The tweets from Brown’s account said at the height of the rampage. The Tweets have since been removed, and Brown is in damage control mode, with his camp saying he didn’t even post that. Mom? Not buying it. Chris Brown and Joyce Hawkins on Larry King Live in 2009 . A Brown source says: “Chris didn’t Tweet that, someone does his postings to Twitter and when he saw that he ordered it taken down immediately.” However, “Joyce is absolutely livid that those vile words and rants were posted on Chris’ Twitter page. She isn’t buying his excuse that he didn’t post it.” “She has told him repeatedly that it is his Twitter, only he should be posting to it, period. She feels like people were just waiting for a negative reaction.” “She had begged Chris to just ignore it and now that he didn’t listen, she is just beside herself that after such successful performance at the Grammys and winning the award, people are now talking about this Twitter controversy.” “It’s time for Chris to grow up, and his mother told him that. Chris is his own worst enemy and she constantly worries about how he reacts to stress.” The Chris Brown Twitter tirade also included this missive : “Strange how we pick and choose who to hate! Let me ask u this. Our society is full of rappers (which I listen to) who have sold drugs (poisoning).” “But yet we glorify them and imitate everything they do. Then right before the worlds eyes is a man shows how he can make a Big mistake and learn from it, but still has to deal with day to day hatred! You guys love to hate!!! But guess what???” Brown’s Twitter page looks much different today, and now only has 11 posts total, with most of the past year’s activity deleted. His most recent Tweet: “TeamBreezy, the Grammy I received was for those of you who supported my music and the hard work and growth in my life. I thank you! Love U!”

To just have him notice me, even over Twitter, was beyond amazing. I’m sharing this to let all of you know that if you Never Say Never then your dreams WILL come true. On 30/1/2012 it was the best day of my life. It was finally the day that Justin noticed me. In the morning when I woke up and went on Twitter, I just suddenly got this gut feeling that I was going to get noticed that day. I’ve had that feeling before but this time it was different. I felt like it was actually going to happen so I was thinking positive the entire day and thinking in my head ‘Never Say Never’ and ‘Believe’. That day, Arab Beliebers were planning to trend ‘Arab World Is Waiting For Justin’ and it worked, we got it trending! It was up for a while. I was on Justin’s Twitter page, so if he tweeted I would know quickly and when I saw the ‘(1)’ on the tab, I went on his page. I’m not gonna lie, I usually spam him with tweets, so he could notice me because that was the only thing I wanted, but this time I only tweeted him ONCE . I tweeted him ‘you saw our TT?’ and I waited for maybe 30 seconds then I saw that he had a new tweet. I clicked on it then I just couldn’t believe my eyes. My name ‘BiebrauhlSchwag’ was actually there! Justin Bieber actually tweeted me! That second my heart started beating so fast, I thought it was a dream but it wasn’t. He tweeted me ‘yes and we are gonna make it happen on the #BELIEVE tour’ so not only did Justin tweet me, but he also said that he’s coming to the Arab World for BELIEVE! I was more than happy i can’t even put into words what I felt but I’ll just put it this way ‘every feeling I ever felt before < THAT FEELING’ I couldn’t have asked for something better. Us Arab Beliebers didn’t experience the My World Tour but we are all ecstatic that at least some of us are going to experience the Believe Tour! I was getting SO much love from Arab Beliebers that day it made me cry even more than I was. I had the biggest smile on my face when Justin tweeted but the fact that loads of Arab Beliebers were sending me so much love made it so much better. They told me that I made their day and I put the biggest smiles on their faces, nothing can beat that. Chris Brown has worked hard to rebuild his image since violently assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna the night before the Grammys in 2009, but country singer Miranda Lambert doesn’t forget so easily. After the Grammy Awards, Lambert took to Twitter and wondered why Brown was allowed to perform twice during the show, adding, “He beat on a girl…not cool that we act like that didn’t happen.” The country singer then suggested Brown listen to her song “Gunpowder & Lead” about avenging domestic violence and “be put back in his place. Wale and Big Sean were revealed as the list’s #10 and #9 picks, respectively, and tomorrow MTV News will reveal MC #8. On Wednesday’s episode of “RapFix Live,” host Sway and members of MTV’s Hip-Hop Brain Trust will appear to break down the science behind the game’s most hotly contested debate. Then Big Sean will check in to talk about his feelings on how the debate is shaping up so far. There has already been a bit of controversy with J. Cole and T.I. narrowly missing the #10 spot. There has been a ton of reaction, and both Wale and Big Sean have taken to Twitter to express their excitement over their placement on the list. “Shoutout to @MTV and @mtvjams for acknowledging my hustle and thank you to all the fans who have been supporting me since day one,” Wale tweeted on Monday after the #10 spot was revealed.
