Vanessa Hudgens looks kind of like a soccer mom. This is how the actress describes her new, shorter hairstyle in an interview with Access Hollywood , as the star says she chopped off her own locks for a role in Gimme Shelter , a Ron Krauss-directed movie that features the former High School Musical star as a pregnant teen forced to live on the streets. “I miss [my hair,] believe me, I do, but there’s nothing I can do about it,” Hudgens says. With little money to her name, several lawsuits pending and a vitriolic public still calling for justice, Casey Anthony may have been better off in jail . So where is Casey Anthony ? Completely MIA since her early Sunday release from the Florida jail where she resided for three years, that’s where. Her attorneys wisely won’t reveal her location or plans, but their calls to respect the verdict and leave Casey alone have largely gone unheeded. Casey Anthony Heckled Outside Jail The accused child killer could be in hiding in Carlsbad, Calif., near San Diego, according to a nwq report this morning on NBC’s Today show. Tracking the ownership of the Pilatus PC-12 private jet that whisked Anthony out of Orlando Sunday morning, NBC pointed to California attorney Todd Macaluso, who at one point had been a member of Casey’s defense team. Macaluso reportedly had given her $70,000. Macaluso’s firm maintains an office at the Palomar Airport in Carlsbad, with a private plane available to the firm anytime on very short notice. There are also reports that Macaluso left Anthony’s defense team early last year after running into trouble with the California Bar Association. The plane carrying Casey Anthony is believed to have taken a circuitous route before landing at John Wayne Airport, in Orange County, Calif. The Phoenix Fox TV station KSAZ reports that one of the stops could have been Prescott, Ariz., which is also a possible destination or Casey. NBC also says the IRS has placed a tax lien against Anthony, and that one of her moneymaking plans might be a pay-per-view TV interview. Anthony was ridiculed by hecklers as she walked free this weekend. We can only imagine the uproar if she charges foir a television sit-down.
Dancing With the Stars pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy has identified his dream partner for the upcoming season of the hit ABC competition series: U.S. soccer goalie Hope Solo! After giving Hope’s name immediately when asked who he’d love to partner with this fall, the Ukrainian hunk added, “Let’s do it! I want somebody hot, I want somebody exciting, somebody passionate, and I’ll do the rest.” Maksim took Kirstie Alley to the finals last season. He believes he could repeat that success with Hope Solo … provided her athletic footwork translates to dancing. Solo led the Americans into the World Cup final against Japan, where they fell just short of the championship, losing on penalty shots. Despite the heartbreak, Maks would offer Solo a chance for redemption, should ABC decide to give her a Dancing With the Stars whirl. “I’m waiting,” he says . “And please don’t hurt your legs.”

Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy may or may not be dating, officially, but there is definitely something between them. And that something is hot. When the ESPN reporter got the news she’d be on Dancing with the Stars , she knew she wanted to be paired up with Maksim Chmerkovskiy right away. Because of his strong work ethic, of course… but also his musk. “He’s ridiculously amazing!” Andrews said on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show. “We could be working out for hours and I’ll smell like a guy and he smells like a garden of lilies. I’m like, are you serious? I’ll put on a load of deodorant [and] spray myself up.” It must help – they’ve been among the top scorers so far . Aside from his scent, there are other characteristics drawing Erin Andrews and Maksim Chmerkovskiy to each other. She told producers, “I want somebody that pushes me … I’ll try to weasel my way out of things. I’ll be like, ‘Let’s go get a latte!'” “But Maks will say ‘No. Do this step. Then we leave for latte.'” Love. It’s always give and take, right? And sexual chemistry. Seriously. She asked for it. “I flat out said to [the Dancing with the Stars producers], I want sexual chemistry,” she freely admits. “I want to be put with Maks. I don’t care if he makes me cry, I want somebody that’s really hot.” Hey, it can only help with voters. When that whiner Kate Gosselin stays around and Shannen Doherty gets kicked off, you know it’s a popularity contest first and a dancing competition second. Fortunately, Erin and Maks should be quite popular.
