Christina Aguilera is headed to Nashville. Per People, the singer and The Voice judge has signed on for a recurring role on the ABC drama. She will come on board as Jade St. John (what a name!), a major pop superstar who has been working very hard in the music game for over a decade. Look for the character to arrive in Tennessee for a two-night stand at the Bridgestone, yet for her real dream to be the recording of a country album… if only her label would let her expand beyond the genre of pop. So it’s sort of like Taylor Swift , but in reverse. Aguilera will debut some time this spring and appear on multiple episodes of Nashville Season 3 .
