Source: Cooper Neill / Getty Gilbert Arenas was one of the most electrifying basketball players on the planet during his time with the Washington Wizards, although the team made just more headlines for locker room strife as it did winning games. Agent Zero sat down with ESPN’s The Jump, and his former college teammate Richard Jefferson relentlessly roasted him. To be fair, Arenas probably caught a lot of smoke from Jefferson after referring to him on-air as a “douchebag,” and noting that his fellow retired NBA hooper was a bit sarcastic. While Jefferson’s cold shoulder act seemed sincere, much of it appeared to be playful ribbing from guys who have a long history together. One interesting point of note was host Rachel Nichols mentioning a recent story from Wizards player Trevor Booker, who noted on the HoopsHype podcast that the team was the most “unprofessional” team he’s played on, and mentioned some of the antics, including Arenas taking a dump in a player’s shoe although not by name. To be fair, co-host Paul Pierce gave Arenas his props after saying that if he didn’t get hurt that he’d be one of the all-time greats. J udge Greg Mathis is furthering his efforts to help individuals impacted by the water crisis in Flint, Michigan. According to NBC News , the Detroit native recently donated 50,000 bottles of water to the city’s students. The 50,000 bottles of water will be dispersed to schools throughout Flint on Monday. Mathis has also teamed up with AquaTru to provide nine water filtration systems to charter schools in the city. He believes that no parent should be put in a position to risk their child’s health due to the lack of accessibility to clean water. He added that if government officials aren’t going to rectify the situation, then individuals like himself will step up. “It’s difficult to win the confidence of the citizens that you have allowed to be harmed,” he said. “If you wouldn’t risk it for your children, don’t ask these parents to risk it for theirs.” This isn’t the first donation that Mathis has made. Last year, he sent thousands of cases of water to Flint residents. News about Mathis’ donation comes after 12-year-old activist Amariyanna Copeny —who is known Little Miss Flint—raised over $130,000 to create a long-term sustainable solution to the water crisis by bringing state-of-the-art water filters to underserved communities. The implementation of the water filters would give individuals the ability to have safe running water within their households. Earlier this year, rapper and actor Jaden Smith ’s eco-friendly natural spring water brand JUST Goods Inc. teamed up with Flint’s First Trinity Missionary Baptist Church to implement a system called “The Water Box” which reduces lead and other toxic chemicals in contaminated water. I’ve talked to him about the horror and about how I want this to be a little like Game of Thrones .” Alex hasn’t even entered his teenage years yet and he’s already laying the foundation for a promising career in the film and television industry. He’s been featured in several projects including the web series Mani and Showtime’s comedy-drama series Kidding . Alex has also made appearances on Sesame Street and Jimmy Kimmel Live! . He says he’s inspired by Peele and learned about the different facets that go into the creation of a movie while filming Us alongside Lupita Nyong’o , Winston Duke , and Shahadi Wright Joseph . “The exciting thing about making this movie is being able to do all these different things and doing things with a really good director, so it’s really fun working with him,” he said in a statement, according to Bustle . “You can sit with him and he’ll teach you like what to do and how he does it, and it was really nice learning from him.” One of his most recent projects was a short film titled Black Boy Joy which featured actor Will Catlett and was directed by Martina Mossell Lee . Her biggest defense is that she has Black friends, particularly Alicia Keys and her producer husband Swizz Beatz . According to Page Six , Lisa Falcone is the wife of billionaire hedge funder Philip Falcone , and now she’s found herself in a lawsuit because her former personal chef accused her of racist language. The alleged incident occurred after Lisa met chef Brian Villanueva ‘s girlfriend, who is Black, according to the lawsuit filed in Manhattan federal court. Villanueva said his girlfriend stopped by to help him cook for a Hamptons dinner party that the Falcones were hosting back in July. The event was attended by Keys and Swizz Beatz. The next morning, the suite says that Liza commented on how articulate Villanueva’s girlfriend was. “Your girlfriend speaks very well. She seems educated. I would describe her as a chocolate-covered marshmallow,” the chef accuses Lisa of saying. Despite Villanueva appearing visibly offended, the suit says that Lisa continued to say, “Do you use the word ‘ni**a’ at home with your girlfriend?” The suit explained, “Defendant Lisa Falcone noticed the shocked and offended expression on Plaintiff’s face, however, rather than apologize, she said defensively, ‘I’m Puerto Rican and grew up in Spanish Harlem so I can speak like that.’” The lawsuit then says that Villanueva challenged his boss to explain her comments, and she responded that neither Keys nor her husband were as well-spoken. “I meant she speaks really eloquently. Alicia [Keys] doesn’t speak that way. She didn’t have an education and was just discovered by Clive Davis when she was fifteen years old. Swizz [Beatz] definitely doesn’t speak that way either,” Lisa allegedly told Villanueva. Later in the day, Villanueva says that he delivered pizza to the Falcones on the beach, and revealed that he was quitting due to the racist remarks. “Rather than accepting Plaintiff’s resignation, Defendant Lisa Falcone asked Plaintiff not to resign and stated ‘talk to my Black friends’ (supposedly referring to Keys and Swizz Beatz — both of whom were at the beach with the Falcones during that time), and emphasized ‘they will tell you that I am not racist,’” the lawsuit states. Villanueva is suing Lisa and her husband for discrimination and violation of New York labor laws, saying he’s owed $4,230.76 in unpaid wages. The suit also claims that Philip said he would only compensate Villanueva if he and his girlfriend signed a confidentiality agreement promising to not repeat Lisa’s comments. They refused to sign. Keys nor Swizz Beatz have yet to make a public statement about the situation.
