Leah Messer Facebook Post: Look, the Girls Still Love Me!

While Leah Messer lost custody of her twins to Corey Simms earlier this week, the reality star keeps putting up a good front on social media. Fans have wondered how she’s holding up given that devastating turn of events, but if she’s depressed and defeated, she’s not showing it. The 23-year-old, twice-divorced Teen Mom 2 star posted cute pics of 6-year-old twins Ali and Aleeah to her official fan page two nights ago. “Cheer Halloween dress up night,” she captioned the shots , which show Aleeah in a white gown and her sister Ali in a black and pink dress. You would never know a West Virginia court awarded custody to the girls’ father, Simms, and his wife Miranda Patterson, earlier in the week. If you watch Teen Mom 2 online , or read celebrity gossip, you know she’s been seen on camera in shocking fashion often in the recent past. Fans saw her feed the exhausted girls dinner at midnight, curse in front of them, neglect them in risky situations and pass out holding a baby. Leah, whose parenting practices and abilities have come under intense scrutiny as a result, now only has her oldest daughters on weekends. Corey and Miranda care for them during the school week. That’s gotta hurt, but again, she’s either making the best of it or faking it. On October 17, Messer boasted about spending “quality time” with them: “We are having a fun filled weekend together. ENJOYING each other as a family. At the end of the day that’s what matters most ! #memories” Custody issues aside, we hope she continues on her road to recovery and that whatever progress she made in rehab, she builds on daily. We don’t need any more clips like last season … View Slideshow: Leah Messer Bad Parenting Excuse Hall of Fame

Maureen O’Hara Dies; Miracle on 34th Street Actress Was 95

Actress Maureen O’Hara – best known for her work in such films as Miracle on 34th St. and The Quiet Man – has passed away at the age of 95. A statement from her family states that O’Hara passed away surrounded by loved ones at her home in Boise, Idaho. Though best known for her work as Natalie Wood’s mother in the 1947 Christmas classic 34th Street, O’Hara appeared in over 50 films over the course of her career, including the acclaimed John Ford works Rio Grande and How Green Was My Valley. Last year, O’Hara received an honorary Oscar with the inscription, “To Maureen O’Hara, one of Hollywood’s brightest stars, whose inspiring performances glowed with passion, warmth and strength.” In the early ’70s, O’Hara retired from acting (reportedly after frequent collaborators Ford and John Wayne teased her about not being a stay-at-home wife) but returned to the screen in 1991’s Only the Lonely.  She continued acting into her 80s, and she made her final public appearance in 2013 at a tribute to her longtime friend John Wayne. O’Hara’s family says they played music The Quiet Man – her favorite of her many films – during the actress’ final hours.  View Slideshow: Celebrities We Lost in 2015
