MTV Video Music Awards: Who Will Be There?

Taylor Swift will NOT appear at the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards . Because she wants to avoid a run-in with Kanye West? Perhaps. Instead of theorizing over Swift's absence, however, we'll focus instead on those who WILL be prominent at the event on Sunday, August 28. Here's a rundown of performers and presenters on tap for the VMAs…. 1. Rihanna Expect some seriously sexy dance moves when Rihanna takes the stage to perform! She’s receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony and will be performing a medley of hits. 2. Future Future will take a break from feuding with Ciara in order to also perform. 3. Nicki Minaj Minaj took to the VMA stage alongside Swift in the past. That won’t happen this year. But she will perform! 4. Ariana Grande Hide the donuts! Ariana Grande is coming to perform! 5. Beyonce Beyonce leads the way with 11 nominatios. She is strongly expected to perform, although this has not yet been confirmed. 6. Kanye West Kanye will have four minutes to perform. He’s expected to sing “Famous.” View Slideshow

Lauren Graham: Edward Herrmann Would Have Loved Gilmore Girls Revival

Lauren Graham knows how excited fans are for the return to Gilmore Girls this November 25th. The residents of Stars Hallow have reunited for Gilmore Girls: A Year In The Life , which features four 90-minute episodes spanning each of the four seasons. Graham, 49, spoke about returning to the set, and how the absence of co-star Edward Herrmann , who died of brain cancer at 71 in 2014, will affect the show. Hermann played Graham’s on-screen father, Richard Gilmore. “He would have loved this [new series],” Graham told People Magazine, assuring fans that the fact that he’s not there will not be overlooked. “His death was just a loss for us personally. It’s given the show a new complexity and depth. It’s a nice tribute to him.” Graham’s on-screen daughter, Alexis Bledel echoed her sentiment. “He was wonderful to work with,” she said. “Very generous and such a great presence to have on-set always.” Fans have a lot to look forward to, Graham and Bledel revealed.  “The characters are older now and really are just supporting each other, which I think is a natural progression for a mother and daughter,” Graham said without giving too much away. “Their dynamic is so unique,” Bledel added. There’s nothing else like it.” Last month, Graham couldn’t contain her excitement over the A Year In the Life .  She admitted that starring on Gilmore Girls was possibly the highlight of her career. “I relished it, and I’m ruined for life because there’s no more perfect fit I feel like for me than that writing and that show,” she told People last month. “I’m so glad I got to do it again. I just can’t even explain it. It was everything I wanted it to be and more.” If you need a refresher, or are looking to watch Gilmore Girls for the first time, the entire series is available on Netflix. Gilmore Girls to Be Revived as Limited Netflix Series (!!!!!!!)

It really is happening, people. We really will learn what those final four words were. Netflix has confirmed that it has finalized a deal with Warner Bros., creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Daniel Palladino to bring back Gilmore Girls for a special limited series event. No original cast members have signed on the dotted line just yet, but sources tell TV Line that key players Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson are almost assuredly on board. The revival will reportedly consist of four 90-minute episodes/mini-movies/whatever-you-want-to-call-them-but-the-point-is-that-Gilmore-Girls-is-on-the-way-back. Over the summer, Sherman-Palladino certainly sounded open to an arrangement such as this at the ATX TV Festival. “It would have to be the right everything – the right format, the right timing,” she said. “If it ever happened, I promise we’ll do it correctly. We believe you, Amy. And we can’t believe we’re going to get the chance to find out for real! Gilmore Girls premiered on The WB network in 2000, before transferring to The CW in 2006 for its final season. 23 Celebrities You Thought Were Dead

No these 23 celebrities aren't dead, though you probably thought they were. From teen heart-throbs to Academy Award Winners, these stars just haven't been doing much lately. Check out our slideshow below to find out who they are! 1. Pauly Shore Remember this guy? It’s been a while since we’ve seen Pauly Shore, and even longer since the comedien has starred in anything remotely well-known. Okay, maybe that’s an overstatement for Encino Man, Son-in-Law, and Bio-Dome, but you get the idea. 2. Amanda Bynes Seriously, what the heck happened to Amanda Bynes? She hasn’t appeared on any screen since 2010. She announced that she was retiring from acting back in 2012. She’s been dealing with some pretty serious personal problems for a while. 3. David Schwimmer Nothing can compare to David Schwimmer’s role as Ross on Friends, but we’re pretty bummed he hasn’t done much since then. He is, however, set to appear on a new series in 2016. 4. Alexis Bledel The Gilmore Girls star resurfaced for a reunion this summer, but otherwise, it seems like Alexis Bledel has been pretty dormant. She did make a few appearances as a not-so-Rory-like character on Mad Men, but we hoped she’d do so much more after Gilmore Girls ended. 5. Bridget Fonda Bridget Fonda has disappeared, but she’s still very much alive. The actress, known for her roles in The Godfather Part III, Single White Female, and Jackie Brown, hasn’t appeared on our screens in over 10 years. 6. Dave Chappelle Where have you been, Dave Chappelle? Though he returned to stand-up a couple of years ago, he seems to have fallen offf the map ever since he left Chappelle’s Show. View Slideshow
