Reluktantly, we must give kredit where kredit is due: Kim Kardashian has donated $50,000 to The Trevor Project, an organization that provides suicide prevention assistance to lesbian, gay and bisexual teens. Kim raised those funds herself during a trip to the Cantor Fitzgerald offices in NYC last September, where she actually did some work on the trading floor. “The firm lost more than 600 employees in the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in 2001 and on the 10th anniversary of the attacks, they donated all revenues from their trades to charities around the world,” Kardashian blogged soon after her visit. “I was honored to take part!” Darn her for saying something we cannot mock. Other celebrities involved in The Trevor Project include Kevin McHale, Daniel Radcliffe, Adam Lambert and Kathy Griffin.
Gabriel Aubry stands accused of not merely shoving the nanny of his three-year old daughter, Nahla, but of doing it while the woman was holding the toddler in her arms. But an insider tells Radar Online this allegation is clearly false because, come on, it just isn’t logical. “Why in the world would Gabriel push the nanny causing her to fall while she was holding his daughter?” a source says . “Gabriel is fiercely protective of Nahla. The nanny tripped, and she fell while holding Nahla. Yes, Gabriel and the nanny were arguing, he felt like his parenting skills were under attack again. Gabriel can’t believe how out of control this situation has become.” It all started on Wednesday, January 18, when Alliance Kamdem alleges she asked Aubry why Nahla was not in school. He reacted in anger and that’s when the pushing/tripping incident took place. Kamdem has since resigned her post, had her request for a restraining order against the model denied and a judge will decide on Monday whether or not Aubry can see Nahla while this investigation is ongoing.
Mindy McCready is an odd one. In her latest eye-opening public statement, she said that her son Zander is really the only thing stopping her from offing herself. In an interview with ABC’s 20/20 , McCready said the boy “saved my life.” “Every time I wanted to let go and give in, I remember what he did for me,” said McCready, who has attempted suicide at least once. “He is my little angel.” McCready’s previous efforts at suicide and substance abuse are the reasons she no longer has custody of Zander – and feuds with her mother, who does. Mindy and Zander were recently the subject of an interstate manhunt after she allegedly took off with him during a visitation. He is now in foster care. The troubled country singer says that her mom, Gayle Inge, believes herself to be a prophet from God – not exactly a good influence on young Zander. Also, “They see dead people in their home all the time – spirits, demons, ghosts,” explained McCready, who is pregnant again with twins as we speak. Not unlike the men it is marketed toward, Lindsay Lohan’s Playboy spread will come early this month. Hugh Hefner confirmed the news on Twitter Friday. “Because of the interest & the Internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early,” Hugh said after the leak of the Lindsay Lohan Playboy pictures . “The Lindsay Lohan pictorial has been leaked on the Internet & is causing a sensation,” he said, stating the obvious regarding “a true Collector’s Edition.” This is NOT one of the Lindsay Lohan Playboy pictures. It’s from New York Magazine in 2008, when she also posed nude in a Marilyn Monroe-themed pictorial . A rep for the magazine said someone had taken the cover and photos from an advance copy of the magazine and posted them online “without permission.” The rep said nothing official would be released until December, but that was before Hef’s announcement. There’s no word yet on just how early “early” is. Lohan, who squeezed in the Playboy shoot between court dates, community service obligations and whatever the hell else she does, has not commented. She banked close to $1 million for the nude shoot, and while it remains to be seen if the leak will hurt sales, she and Playboy are certainly buzzworthy now. “Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the Internet yesterday. Contrary to what was reported to BOSSIP by sources tied to production of the second season of “Love & Hip-Hop” , Somaya Reece is still part of the show’s cast, both she and VH1 confirmed today. “Somaya ‘Boss’ Reece is a regular cast member of VH1’s ‘Love and Hip Hop” Season 2,” VH1 said in an exclusive statement to BOSSIP. “Along with Somaya, cast members include: Chrissy Lampkin, Olivia Longott, Emily Bustamante, with new members Kimberly ‘Kimbella’ Vanderhee and Yandy Smith joining the cast this season. In addition to the regular cast, there are a number of men and women from the music industry who make guest appearances in the series. Erica Mena makes an appearance as well, however, she is not a regular cast member.” While reports stated that Somaya had been eliminated from the cast due to the lack of activity in her professional life, Season 2 of Love & Hip-Hop will apparently find her quite busy. Since we last saw her on the show, Somaya has launched a Tequila brand and worked on the forthcoming Lionsgate release “Go For It,” in addition to continuing to work on her official rap debut – both in English and Spanish. Fox 5 Atlanta has discovered that there was a fifth accuser in the Bishop Eddie Long sexual misconduct case. Centino Kemp never filed a lawsuit and his name was never made public during the case, but apparently Kemp was involved in the recent settlement negotiations with Long and the other accusers. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Kemp is currently recording songs written from the perspective of an angry lover and has Eddie Long’s name tattooed on his wrist with the words: “Never a Mistake, Always a Lesson.” Sources told Fox 5 Atlanta that Kemp is 22 years old and was raised in the Bahamas and met Eddie Long years ago during a visit to New Birth while he was a teenage student in a Florida college.
